Now DOCTORS say they'll be refusing more COVID shots
[WND] When the COVID-19 pandemic developed in China, then spread around the world killing millions, people were in a panic.

Masks, shutting down the economy, distancing, and more all of a sudden became a priority.

So did shots that were developed on a superfast timeline that left them in "experimental" status as officials demanded people take them.

Of course, now we know the side effects include myocarditis — and worse.

China-Japan-Koreas
Top Lawmaker Responds To General's Memo On 2025 War With China: 'I Think He's Right'
[ET via ZERO] A memo issued by the general, according to NBC News, said that "I hope I am wrong .. my gut tells me we will fight in 2025″ about the potential conflict. He added that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) will be looking closely at Taiwan’s 2024 presidential election that might prompt leader Xi Jinping to escalate military aggression against the region.

"Xi secured his third term [as CCP general secretary] and set his war council in October 2022. Taiwan’s presidential elections are in 2024 and will offer Xi a reason," Minihan wrote. The 2024 U.S. presidential elections would also create a "distracted America" that could benefit the Chinese regime, he said.

"Xi’s team, reason, and opportunity are all aligned for 2025," the general reportedly said. Copies of his memo circulated online over the weekend, and The Epoch Times has contacted the Air Force for comment.

On Sunday, McCaul, the head of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told Fox News that he believes the general’s prediction is accurate. "I hope he’s wrong," McCaul told "Fox News Sunday." "I think he’s right though, unfortunately."

McCaul said that the CCP wants to take control over Taiwan, which he suggested could take place via influencing the island nation’s elections early next year. Adding further, he claimed that the current administration is "projecting weakness" that will create an avenue for the CCP to take military action.

"But if they don’t win in that one they are going to look at a military invasion, in my judgment," he said. "We have to be prepared for this."

North Korea blasts NATO chief's visit to South as prelude to 'new Cold War'
[NKNEWS.ORG] North Korea
...hereditary Communist monarchy distinguished by its truculence and periodic acts of violence. Distinguishing features include Songun (Army First) policy, which involves feeding the army before anyone but the Dear Leadership, and Juche, which is Kim Jong Il's personal interpretation of Marxism-Leninism, which he told everybody was brilliant. In 1950 the industrialized North invaded agrarian South Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force opposing the invasion, with the United States providing around 90% of the military personnel. Seventy years later the economic results are in and it doesn't look good for Juche...

...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A single organization with differing goals, equipment, language, doctrine, and structure....
chief Jens Stoltenberg’s ongoing visit to South Korea and Japan as part of efforts to create an "Asian version of NATO," warning that his trip serves as a "prelude to confrontation" and heralds a "new Cold War" involving the Asia-Pacific region.

Kim Tong Myong, a researcher of the Society for International Politics Study in the DPRK, accused the "U.S.-led" body of expanding its "hegemony" to the Asia-Pacific region under the guise of dealing with threats from China and Russia, according to a statement published Monday by the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

"It is the general orientation sought by the U.S.-led NATO to cook up Asian version NATO serving the maintenance of its hegemonic position and order in collusion with its vassal forces," he said.

In a meeting with South Korean foreign minister Park Jin on Sunday, Stoltenberg called for a united international response to the DPRK’s missile and nuclear activity and pledged to support Seoul’s efforts to achieve sustainable peace in the Korean Peninsula through the "complete denuclearization of North Korea."

He also stressed the "interconnectedness" of global security threats and called for greater cooperation between NATO and Seoul, while emphasizing that democratic countries must stand together in a "rules-based international order."

Stoltenberg repeated recent U.S. claims that the DPRK is supplying weapons to Russia for its war against Ukraine, allegations that Pyongyang denies.

"The war in Ukraine has also ramifications for your region," he said in the meeting with Park, according to the foreign ministry. "And we also know that North Korea is providing military support to the Russian war efforts with rockets and missiles."

Economy
The American Consumer Is 'Starting to Freak out,' Spending Drops 3 out of Last 4 Months
[Red State] Although President Biden keeps insisting his economic programs are working great, there are plenty of troublesome signs indicating otherwise, including the all-important rate of consumer spending. Simple rule: if people are buying more things, it generally means they feel good about the state of their finances and the economy.

When folks tighten their belts, however, it’s because they either simply don’t have enough money to purchase more than the essentials, or they’re holding on to their wallets because they fear for the future.

Consumer spending is often known as the "engine of the economy"—and it’s out of gas. The Wall Street Journal reports that Americans are "starting to freak out":

Source: Dutch, Japanese join US limits on chip tech to China
[AP] Japan and the Netherlands have agreed to a deal with the U.S. to restrict China’s access to materials used to make advanced computer chips, a person familiar with the agreement told The Associated Press on Sunday.

The person declined to be identified because the deal hasn’t yet been formally announced. It’s unclear when all three sides will unveil the agreement. The White House declined to comment.

The Biden administration in October imposed export controls to limit China’s ability to access advanced chips, which it says can be used to make weapons, commit human rights abuses and improve the speed and accuracy of its military logistics. It urged allies like Japan and the Netherlands to follow suit.

China has responded angrily, saying trade curbs will disrupt supply chains and the global economic recovery.

Google Stock: YouTube Expected To Be Drag On Earnings Amid Apple, TikTok Woes
[Investors] YouTube will likely be a weak spot again when Google-parent Alphabet (GOOGL) reports fourth-quarter earnings on Thursday, analysts say. YouTube's slowing ad revenue growth is one issue for Google stock, while the subscription side of its business remains opaque to investors.

When Alphabet reported Google earnings for the September quarter, YouTube ad revenues shrank for the first time. YouTube ad revenue slipped 2% to $7.07 billion, missing estimates of $7.5 billion.

Google began reporting some YouTube financial metrics separately in the fourth quarter of 2019. For this December quarter, analysts estimate YouTube revenue of $8.2 billion, down nearly 5%.

YouTube revenue boomed during the coronavirus emergency, so the company faces tough year-over-year comparisons, according to some Google stock analysts. But other factors also are at work.

#1  In Georgia, many hobby farmers and small producers buy feed by the bag. Larger producers such as Tysons, buy feed locally produced, ground and delivered in bulk trucks.

Roadside "Eggs for Sale" signs have slipped into extinction. Due to escalating feed prices, there is no longer any "egg money" in keeping chickens. Unless you grind your own feed or specialize in "Free Range" production (which still requires supplements), there hasn't been much money to be made in eggs in a long time.

With taxes, that 50lb bag of Layena in the graphic is just over .50 cents a pound at Tractor Supply Co.

India-Pakistan
Pakistan: Expansion in nuclear power generation hits snags
Why their now six nuclear power plants, the last two started up in 2021 and 2022 respectively, have not melted down, taking the entire country down to the center of the earth with them, is beyond me.
[Dawn] The development of C-5, which is the fifth unit of the Chashma Nuclear Power Generating Station, has hit a snag because of the reported refusal by the Ministry of Finance to furnish a sovereign guarantee, sources told Dawn on Monday.

The Chinese partner has agreed to provide financing for up to 85 per cent of the $3.7 billion nuclear power plant having a nameplate capacity of 1,200 megawatts, subject to the sovereign guarantee.

Such guarantees are meant to assure the creditor that the government will satisfy the obligation if the primary obligor — the Pakistain Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), in this case — defaults on the loan repayment.

The loan programme of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) seems to have tied the government’s hands with regard to the sovereign guarantee. As part of the 2022-23 budget, the government has laid before the National Assembly a Statement of Contingent Liabilities.

The list contains all guarantees expected to be issued during the fiscal year. The government is treating it as a ceiling to contain fiscal risks and safeguard the public debt trajectory.

The spokesperson for the finance ministry wasn’t available for comment.

The share of nuclear power in the national energy mix has grown at a sharp pace in recent years. With a share of 27.1pc, it was the largest contributor to the energy pie in December. Hydel, coal and local gas were the other main sources with respective contributions of 20.4pc, 18.1pc and 15.1pc.

The quantum of nuclear power generation grew 47.5pc in December on a year-on-year basis, thanks to the addition of new capacities. In terms of the fuel cost alone, nuclear was the cheapest source of energy in December with an average of only Rs1.10 per kWh versus Rs11.50 for coal and Rs10.50 for local gas.

As many as six nuclear power plants are currently operational in the country. The first nuclear power plant, known as Kanupp-1, started generating 137MW of electricity way back in 1971. It was de-commissioned in 2021 after a 50-year run.

Meanwhile,
...back at the revival hall, the congregants were being herded into the paddy wagon...
the PAEC set up and has been running four nuclear power units based on Chinese technology near Chashma, Punjab. With a nameplate capacity of 325MW each, C-1 and C-2 started operations in 2000 and 2011, respectively. C-3 and C-4 became operational in 2016 and 2017, respectively, and have a gross capacity of 340MW each.

Separately, PAEC established Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
Nuclear Power Plant Unit-2 and Unit-3 at Paradise Point, once a popular public beach on the outskirts of Karachi. The two units have a nameplate capacity of 1,100MW each. K-2 and K-3 started generating electricity in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

The six nuclear plants have a combined installed capacity of 3,530MW, constituting a share of 8.1pc in the country’s total nameplate power-generating capacity.

The average tariff for all nuclear plants — which incorporates debt servicing, return on equity, capacity payments and maintenance charges besides the negligible fuel cost — is less than Rs13 a unit, making it significantly cheaper than nearly all sources, except hydel.

Besides C-5 of 1,200MW, PAEC is also setting up two new power plants — K-4 and K-5 — of 1,400MW each in Karachi. In addition, it’s establishing two nuclear plants — M-1 and M-2 — of 1,400MW each in Muzaffargarh, Punjab.

Islamabad court to indict Imran Khan in Toshakhana reference on Feb 7
One way or another they’ll do their best to see that he never is prime minister again.
[Dawn] An Islamabad sessions court stated on Tuesday that charges against PTI chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who who convinced himself that playing cricket qualified him to lead a nuclear-armed nation with severe personality disorders...
in the Toshakhana reference will be framed on February 7.

The reference alleging that Imran had not shared details of the gifts he retained from the Toshaskhana and proceeds from their reported sales was filed by politicians from the ruling coalition last year. On October 21, the Election Commission of Pakistain (ECP) had concluded that the former premier had indeed made "false statements and incorrect declarations" regarding the gifts — a ruling that prompted widespread protests by the PTI.

The watchdog’s order said Imran stood disqualified under Article 63(1)(p) of the Constitution.

Subsequently, the ECP had approached the Islamabad sessions court with a copy of the reference, seeking proceedings against Imran under criminal law for allegedly misleading officials about the gifts he received from foreign dignitaries during his tenure as the prime minister.

At the previous hearing, the court had reserved its judgement on ECP’s petition.

On Tuesday morning, Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal pronounced the verdict with PTI lawyer Ali Bukhari and ECP counsel Advocate Saad Hasan in attendance.

Meanwhile,
...back at the secret hideout, Scarface Al sneeringly put his proposition to little Nell...
the PTI chief — who is recuperating after sustaining a gunshot wound following an liquidation bid during a rally on Nov 3 — sought exemption from today’s hearing.

For the first time in Israel: Breakthrough cancer treatment employed in Holon
[Jerusalem Post] The treatment involved the injection of a radioactive substance called Oncosil into a patient diagnosed with advanced-stage pancreatic cancer.

Doctors at Wolfson Medical Center in Holon successfully implemented a new treatment for pancreatic cancer this week.

The treatment, which had never been attempted previously in Israel, involved the injection of a radioactive substance called Oncosil into a patient diagnosed with advanced-stage pancreatic cancer.

Prof. Eran Israeli, director of the Gastroenterology Institute at the Wolfson Medical Center, added: "The goal of the treatment is to shrink the tumor to such a size that it will be possible to perform surgery and resection of the tumor. This is the first time in Israel that the radioactive medicinal substance to treat a cancerous tumor is injected directly into the target organ under [endopic ultrasound] guidance."

"The Wolfson Gastroenterology Institute...is constantly working to expand the array of services for patients and ensure that all treatments in the department are at the cutting-edge of innovation in the field. We are happy to be the first to perform this operation in Israel and believe that this is [good] news for cancer patients in Israel and the entire world," concluded Prof. Israeli.

This innovative treatment is approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration as a breakthrough technology, and so far about 250 cancer patients throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

"While today the accepted treatment for patients with pancreatic cancer is one of two types of chemotherapy, [this] unique treatment makes it possible to deliver a large and concentrated amount of radiation directly into the tumor without affecting and damaging other organs," explained Dr. Tomer Griner, director of the invasive endoscopy unit.

China’s Type 054B Next-Gen Frigate Under Construction?
[NavalNews] A new warship hull widely assumed to be the Type 054B next generation frigate for the Chinese Navy (PLAN) has commenced final assembly at Hudong Shipyard in Shanghai.

The new image dated January 21st, taken by the Pleiades optical imaging satellite system and showing a frigate-sized combatant with all hull modules in place was first shared by Tom Shugart on Twitter last week:

Hudong is one of the principal shipyards supplying warships to PLAN and foreign customers, with a focus on corvette- and frigate-sized designs and amphibious ships such as the Type 071 LPD and the Type 075 LHA. It is notably, with Huangpu based in Guangzhou, responsible for the construction of the existing Type 054A frigate, of which more than 40 hulls have been produced to date.
