Afghanistan
TTP has no hideout in Afghanistan, track it down inside Pakistan
Extra special pleading.
[KabulTimes] Pakistain has once again made the assertion that Tehrik-e-Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
Pakistain (TTP) was using Afghan territory against it.

The neighboring country’s interior minister has claimed in a media conference late on last week that the TTP is attacking the country using Afghanistan soil.

This is not the first time, the accusations are made against Afghanistan, particularly, after the takeover of the country by the Islamic Emirate, Islamabad has always made the claim that Afghanistan was harboring anti-Pakistain holy warrior groups inside its territory.

As Pakistain is believed to enjoy one of the world’s most powerful intelligence networks and claimed that the TTP’s large destructive group has all its equipment and nearly 5,000 fighters in Afghanistan, then it should provide clear evidence.

On the other hand, why Afghanistan, under the new-system, should be a threat to other countries, in particular to its neighbors, while it has fought for decades to restore peace for a nation, that long suffered the absence of security, under the so-called republic systems which had no control even in most part of the capital.

Kabul has time and again assured Islamabad that Afghanistan’s soil would never be used against any other countries, particularly the neighbors, and that there is no evidence in this field, but it’s not clear why the neighboring country is still blaming Afghanistan over any insecurity in its soil.

Pakistain has a wide shared border with Afghanistan. It has commonalities in religion and culture, even tradition with our country. Pakistain has long been a shelter and safe haven for millions of Afghans, during the invasion of the former Soviet Union.

As a close neighbor sharing wide border with Afghanistan and enjoying common religion and culture with the Afghan nation, Pakistain should be confident that Afghanistan will never move toward militancy against its neighbors.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) wants to reaffirm its commitment that it would take any possible step to prevent any activities threatening security of the neighbors and the region.

Both nations have now realized that preventing malicious activities is good for the two countries, and this is why the Islamic Emirate promised not only the neighbors and the region but the whole world that Afghanistan would never be used as a threat to other nations.

This is in the interest of both Afghanistan and Pakistain to step up jointly against any measures felt by holy warrior groups.

Also, Pakistain should conduct anti-militancy measures anywhere inside its soil and crack down on any anti-security elements inside its own territory.

Both the Islamic Emirate and the Afghan people are deeply saddened by what recently happened near the Pak embassy by Kabul that resulted in the critical injury of one of its security guards, after attempt on the life of the head of the diplomatic mission failed.

This indicates that such holy warrior groups recognize no border and should jointly be suppressed and eliminated, everywhere in both countries’ territories.

Taliban ‘Real Disaster’, But Tehran Must Side with Them: Iran Envoy
[IranIntl] Iran's ambassador to Afghanistan believes that the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
group is a disaster for Afghanistan, the region and the world, but Iran
...They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
has no choice but to use this opportunity "to civilize them."

The comments by Bahador Aminian were published after the hacktivist group Black Reward got access to IRGC-affiliated Fars News Agency database last month.

However,
Switzerland makes more than cheese...
Iran’s embassy in Kabul denied the statements and described it as a conspiracy to create crisis in the region.

After explaining the nature of the Taliban as well as the problems the Islamic Theocratic Republic has with the group, the Iranian ambassador is quoted as saying, "We have no choice but to side with the Taliban and make use of them."

He believes that the Taliban, despite having fought against the United States for two decades, are not anti-American, and if the Islamic Theocratic Republic is slow to move, "the Americans can easily seize them."

In another part of the file, Aminian says he is worried that Lord High Potentate and Supreme Leader of All He Surveys Ali Khamenei
...the very aged actual dictator of Iran, successor to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini...
has the fewest followers in Afghanistan and "most of the Shias in Afghanistan are followers of Ayatollah Sistani and others."

Aminian also talks about the water dispute between Tehran and Kabul, saying that the Taliban have said, "We must not give even a drop of water to Iran".

Iran has been accusing Afghanistan of holding the water from the Hirmand River by constructing a series of dams.

He also states that generally Iranians’ view of Afghans is a racist and humiliating one.

Britain
Kurdish asylum-seeker dies after arriving in the UK
[Rudaw] Hussain Haseeb, a 31-year-old man from Chamchamal, died after arriving in the UK where he was planning to seek asylum. After 11 days of no news from him, his family found out from social media that their loved one had died.

The news of his death resounded across Chamchamal, causing great grief for his family who are begging that his body be returned to the Kurdistan Region.

Haseeb’s mother recounted her conversation with her son before he embarked on what would be his final journey. "My son said ’mother, we will go back to the forest and if they take my phone away, I will call you from another phone," Parwin Ahmed told Rudaw’s Peshawa Bakhtyar on Saturday.

"I do not want anything, just bring my son back."

Due to an illness causing him chest and throat pain, Hussein’s physical look started to change, coinciding with when Haseeb finally managed to safely cross into the UK via the English Channel, one of the most dangerous migration routes.

His last text message was sent to her sister's husband.

"In Italia, he had health problems. He suffered from cold and illness. The last time we called him, we could not hear him," Tariq Jaff, Haseeb’s cousin said.

"On November 21, at exactly 3:29 am, I have the messages he sent. He texted me and said that they are getting on a boat and I texted him back and said ’please, take care of my brother’ and he did not answer back,"

Hussein was married and has a seven-year-old daughter. The family's only demand is the return of the body of their son, who died 45 days ago.
Demand? Y’all are not entitled to demand anything — even if Mr. Hussein had entered England legally, you would not be entitled to demand the return of his body instead of a pauper’s grave where he died . If you want his body back, take up a collection to pay for it, and pay for an English lawyer to handle the arrangements. Politely.
The Kurdistan Region, often called a safe haven within Iraq, is facing crises of its own - high unemployment, corruption, political instability, and an economic downturn during the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
pandemic.

The Kurdish government has acknowledged the existence of systemic problems and financial hardships but says it is working to address these issues.

Islamic State biggish turban charged in Australia with terror offenses after extradited from Turkey
[IsraelTimes] Neil Christopher Prakash, who was handed over by The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
, is charged with 6 offenses including engaging in hostile activity overseas, supporting a terrorist organization.

Australian police charged a high-profile Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
suspect with six terrorism-related offenses Sunday, two days after he was extradited from Turkey, officials said.

Neil Christopher Prakash,
...in our archives as Neil Prakash, in the ISIS “caliphate” he went by Abu Khaled al-Cambodi. Of Fijian and Cambodian ancestry and reared as a Buddhist, the former rap singer converted to Islam in 2012, then a year later made his way to ISIS in Syria, where they made full use of his various talents for seducing the kids back home to join in the jihad, whether at home or in Syria. In 2016 he made his way to Turkey with a false passport, and was promptly arrested....
31, was accused of offenses including engaging in hostile activity overseas, supporting a terrorist organization, and advocating terrorism, police said.

He was charged in Melbourne by a counter-terrorism team after landing in Australia on Friday following his extradition, federal police said in a statement. The allegations carry maximum penalties ranging from five years to life imprisonment.

Prakash was arrested in Turkey in 2016 after crossing into the country from Syria.

He was sentenced in 2019 to seven years in prison by a Ottoman Turkish court, which found him guilty of belonging to a terrorist organization.

Authorities estimate about 230 Australians have traveled to Iraq and Syria to take up arms since 2012 — Prakash being one of the most prominent examples.

He was featured in IS recruiting videos in which he urged Australians to "wake up" and join the group.

Prakash was described by former conservative prime minister Malcolm Turnbull as one of the "key financiers or organizers" for IS in the Middle East.

Former Australian attorney-general George Brandis in 2016 said Prakash had been killed in Iraq following a targeted US Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
It was later determined that he was maimed but survived the blast.

OPEC+ maintains two million bpd production cut
All President Biden has to do is reverse all the executive orders he wrote on the subject and this problem will evaporate...
[Rudaw] The OPEC+ alliance on Sunday decided to maintain global production cuts it had introduced in October, claiming the decision was "purely driven by market considerations".

The ministers from the 13-nation OPEC group and Russian-led exporters met via videoconference on Sunday for the alliance’s 34th ministerial meeting, during which they decided to maintain the October 5 decision of cutting global oil production by two million barrels per day.

In a blurb, OPEC said that the October decision was "purely driven by market considerations and recognized in retrospect by the market participants to have been the necessary and the right course of action towards stabilizing global oil markets".

The OPEC+ decision to cut oil production was at the time largely criticized by the US, who relies mainly on oil imports to heat the country.

US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity, except maybe for abandoning Afghanistan...
slammed the decision to cut production as "shortsighted" at the time.

Saudi Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Fifteen of the nineteen WTC hijackers were Saudis, and most major jihadi commanders were Saudis, to include Osama bin Laden. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman quietly folded that tent in 2016, doing terrible things to the guys running it, and has since been dragging the kingdom into the current century...
, the world’s leading oil exporter, was among the main countries lobbying for a cut in oil production.

Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman at the time dismissed claims that the decision would negatively impact the market.

Iraq was also among the countries who claim to have benefitted from the cut.

Despite earning nearly a billion dollars less in oil revenues in November than it did in October, the deputy general manager of the Iraqi National Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) Saadoun Mohsen last month said that Iraq has taken advantage of OPEC+ production cuts by maintaining export levels and increasing revenue.

Iraqi oil minister on Saturday reaffirmed the commitment of the OPEC+ alliance of oil-exporting countries to the agreed cuts in production.

Oil prices increased amid shortfalls following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February, with the US repeatedly urging members of the oil cartel to increase their oil production in an effort to balance the market.

The Iraqi government depends on oil revenues to pay the salaries of civil servants and cover the costs. The country’s economy is once again booming as oil prices are increasing globally despite suffering in much of 2021 due to record-low oil prices.

#1  The election is over. We won't care for another two years.

Although, to my surprise, gas prices are coming down since the election. Maybe the slowdown in China is really real and is affecting the global price of oil. I don't have any other explanation.
