Appears the only 'mistake' Samuel made was going Mormon, not Muslim given the willingness of the government to look the other way in the latter case.

Seems like if you are potential wives 18-20, the probability of being added to the trailer of love would not be much of a selling point. By that time all the cushioned seats are probably spoken for and a floor squat between Bertha doing her arithmetic homework and Bobbi Joe who took Taco Tuesday too seriously would be less than appealing.

[Jerusalem Post] China has allegedly set up over 100 quasi-police stations in countries across the world to spy on, harass and even repatriate Chinese nationals living abroad, according to CNN, citing the Madrid-based NGO Safeguard Defenders.
The organization had first revealed the existence of 54 stations back in September, and has now disclosed the existence of 48 furthers.
These add to the numerous accusations against Beijing that it attempts to illegally harass, silence or repatriate Chinese nationals or dissidents living abroad.
Chinese overseas police stations across the world
As Safeguard Defenders reported back in September, most of these stations are located in Europe, with at least nine in Spain.
Officially, these "service stations" exist to help Chinese residents or tourists in given countries. This is due to their role as a diaspora association meant to provide a positive and helpful network abroad. Indeed, the Chinese Foreign Ministry told CNN in November that they are used to help with tasks like renewing driver's licenses and other documentation.

[NYP] The FBI warned Twitter during "weekly" meetings before the 2020 election to expect "hack-and-leak operations’’ by "state actors" involving Hunter Biden, and "likely" in October, according to a sworn declaration by Twitter’s former head of site integrity, Yoel Roth.
The warnings were so specific that Twitter immediately censored The Post’s scoop about Hunter Biden’s laptop on Oct. 14, 2020, citing its "hacked materials" policy, a move described on Saturday as "election interference" by Twitter’s new owner, Elon Musk.
The extraordinary revelation for the first time lays bare how the FBI was involved in pre-bunking the story of the laptop, which had been in the bureau’s possession for almost a year.
"I was told in these meetings that the intelligence community expected that individuals associated with political campaigns would be subject to hacking attacks and that material obtained through those hacking attacks would likely be disseminated over social media platforms, including Twitter," said Roth in a Dec. 21, 2020 declaration to the Federal Election Commission.
"I also learned in these meetings that there were rumors that a hack-and-leak operation would involve Hunter Biden."
Roth’s signed declaration formed part of Twitter’s defense against a complaint by the Tea Party Patriots Foundation that its censorship of The Post was an "in kind" campaign contribution to then-presidential candidate Joe Biden’s campaign.
The American FBI is more autonomous and has broader jurisdictions. In India, roles are divided among a handful of agencies.
The Indian CBI, central bureau of investigation, operates under the Prime Minister's Office at the centre and only investigates. It has its own courts and its findings are accepted by the supreme court as incontrovertible evidence. A state establishment has to ask for the centre to send in the CBI or if law and order are completely broken down, the centre can, with a writ, send them in. Now since some states are left leaning, you can understand that the right wing government at New Delhi often uses the CBI and other agencies to keep them in a short leash.
The Intelligence Bureau is the one that handles terrorism related stuff. This too is a central organization but has field offices in every state. Power to prosecute, arrest, carry out urban ops.
The Enforcement Directorate is another central organization that handles money laundering, illegal funding of banned groups or activity.
Then there's the Central vigilance commission that handles only corruption in government.
States have their own CID units that tackle organized crime, interstate crimes are handled by joint task forces between states, the IB can jump into any cases that overlap into terrorism related stuff.
State police have quite a bit of autonomy with how they wanna enforce. But state administrations are often hounded by the CBI, their chief minister's interrogated, accused of this and that, obstructed wickedly by the centre. The party in power at New Delhi uses all these agencies to weaken and disempower their opponents.

Started a little earlier for me. Waco was the validation.
I'm so old I remember H. Paul Rico, Stevie Flemmi's first FBI 'handler' and John Connolly, who was Bill Bulger's grade school buddy in 1970's Southie and later on became (surprise!) Whitey Bulger's 'handler' shortly after he was appointed to the organized crime unit of the Boston FBI office.
[The Hill] Incoming Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would not wade into discussion of former President Trump’s third run for the White House on Sunday.
Netanyahu, who is set to make his own return to power, was pressed by NBC’s "Meet the Press" moderator Chuck Todd on whether he would "like to see" Trump become president again.
"Oh, God. I’ve had enough of my politics. I’ve just...gone through four of our elections," Netanyahu replied. "You want me to get into your elections? Keep me out of it."
Trump, who is facing a slew of legal and federal investigations, announced his third bid for the White House at his Mar-a-Lago estate last month.
Asked if Trump will be the ideal leader to collaborate on U.S.-Israel relations, Netanyahu replied he would "deal with anyone who’s elected president."
"Well, let me say that I’ll deal with anyone who’s elected president, those that I worked with in the past and anyone new who comes to the plate because the bond between Israel and America, and this was not a shibboleth, this was not just a saying. It really is a bond of peoples," Netanyahu said.
"I’ll deal with anyone, and I certainly will not step on that land mine that you just put before me, Chuck. Come on, I’ve been in this business long enough and so have you," he added. "Keep trying."
