CNN's corporate boss David Zaslav wants network for 'Republicans, Democrats' as ratings sink
[NYPOST] Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav said CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
is renewing its focus on "journalism" — signaling he wants the scandal-scarred, left-leaning network to eventually deliver straight news that also appeals to conservatives.

The CEO, whose company owns CNN, Warner Bros., HBO, Animal Planet and TLC, told news hounds at Allen & Co.’s "summer camp for billionaires" in Sun Valley, Idaho, that CNN’s new approach will pay off in the long term, even as ratings sink to historic lows.

"Journalism first. America needs a news network where everybody can come and be heard; Republicans, Democrats," Zaslav said. "I think you’re seeing more of that at CNN. We’re not going to look at the ratings and, in the long run, it’s going to be worth more."

Zaslav, who took the helm of Discovery and WarnerMedia after it merged to form Warner Bros. Discovery in April, hired Chris Licht as head of CNN, following the ouster of Jeff Zucker earlier this year. His mandate for Licht, a former executive producer of CBS’s "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," was to get rid of the sensational, partisan, Trump-focused coverage made popular under Zucker.
Seriously? He took a small time exec producer of a small fake news show and gave him.... oh wait — it’s CNN, which is much the same..

Never mind.
"I think Chris is doing a great job pivoting CNN," Zaslav told Variety.

Under Licht, CNN has dialed back using the "breaking news" banner on its reports in order to shift away from opinion-based programming. But one well-placed source told The Post that the ratings have taken a hit due in part to removing such "sensational" and "delicious" details that have become commonplace in cable news.

"The problem is we are not a neutral country," the source said. "The ratings are getting worse because they are taking out all the bells and whistles. CNN’s ratings are as bad as local news ratings."

"New management is not freaking out but everyone else at CNN is," the source added. "They want to fix the shows first, but they don’t realize the shows and ratings are connected."

#1  Journalism doesn't need to make a profit. It is a loss leader for filthy powerful people to deliver their version of reality, full of whatever it benefits them for us to believe.

Leftists demand that the media lie to them. They love it. How many believed so hard in the "Ghost of Keev" lie? How many said it shouldn't have been exposed as a fraud?

Government Corruption
Joe Biden Sold Nearly One Million Barrels from U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve to CCP-Owned Oil Company Linked to Hunter Biden Firm
Still more details on the story.
[Breitbart] President Joe Biden’s administration sold 950,000 barrels of oil from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve to a Chinese state-owned gas company that has financial ties to a private equity firm cofounded by Hunter Biden, according to a Washington Free Beacon report.

In April, Biden’s Department of Energy announced the nearly one million barrel sale to Unipec, which is the trading arm of Sinopec. Sinopec is wholly owned and operated by the Chinese Communist Party.

Unipec reportedly purchases oil across the globe and then apparently sells it through its Sinopec Marketing subsidiary.

According to Unipec’s LinkedIn page:

UNIPEC America, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of China International United Petroleum and Chemical Co. Ltd., better known as UNIPEC. UNIPEC is the trading arm of SINOPEC, currently No.2 largest company on the Global Fortune 500 list in 2019.

Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, reportedly has financial ties to the CCP-owned Sinopec. A private equity firm Hunter Biden cofounded reportedly purchased a nearly $2 billion stake in Sinopec Marketing in 2015.

As the Free Beacon reported:

Biden is connected to Sinopec through BHR Partners, a private equity firm he cofounded in 2013. BHR bought a $1.7 billion stake in Sinopec Marketing in 2015. Biden at one point owned a 10 percent stake in BHR Partners through his wholly owned firm, Skaneateles, LLC.

It is unclear whether the younger Biden still has a financial stake in BHR Partners. Biden’s White House has repeatedly claimed throughout 2019 and 2020 that Hunter Biden was out of the equity firm, but Chinese corporate records show he still has a stake in the company.

Biden’s White House has dodged questions about Hunter Biden’s stake in BHR, directing the press to Hunter Biden’s representatives for more information.

"On the first, the president’s son is not an employee of the federal government, so I’d point you to his representatives," former White House press secretary Jen Psaki said in December. "I think I answered your question. You can go to the representative of the person who is not an employee of the federal government."

Biden’s administration said the sale would "address the pain Americans are feeling at the pump" and fight back against "Putin’s price hike," as the administration calls it.

However, Unipec has continued to fuel the Russian economy by purchasing oil from the country, despite promises that it would purchase "no more Russian oil going forward."

As recent as May, Unipec "significantly increased the number of hired tankers to ship a key crude from eastern Russia," according to Bloomberg.

Daniel Turner, founder of Power the Future, blasted Biden’s move and told the Washington Free Beacon that it highlights the Biden family’s "relationship with China."

"We were assured Biden was releasing this oil to America so it could be refined for gasoline to drive down prices at the pump. So right off the bat, they’re just lying to the American people," Turner said. "What they’re saying they did and what they did are not remotely related."

Pelosi Refuses to Explain Her Role in Jan. 6 Riots
It’s posturing, but it’s good posturing, reminding the Speaker that soon enough she’ll have to answer these questions for real.
[GatewayPundit] In February 2021 Republican Representatives Jim Jordan (R-OH), Devin Nunes (R-CA), Rodney Davis (R-IL) and James Comer (R-KY) sent a letter to Speaker Pelosi on her failure to protect the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

The four ranking members asked Speaker Pelosi to explain her decision to:

  • ** Deny national guard support on January 4th

  • ** What conversations did she or her staff give Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving specifit to January 6th?

  • ** What response did you give security officials on January 6th when National Guard support was initially requested?

  • ** Why are House Officers refusing to turn over documents relevant to that day?

The Republican politicians claim the hour-long delay in National Guard approval was because the sergeant-at-arms "had to run the request up the chain of command," including to Pelosi.

Republicans also note in their letter that Pelosi refused National Guard protection because the "optics" would be bad.

Pelosi delayed the request for the National Guard for an hour. Why was this?

Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser also refused National Guard protection before January 6th.

Call issued for state leaders to halt Biden's election takeover scheme
[WND] State officials are being called on to fight Joe Biden's scheme to take over the nation's elections.

It is Mollie Hemingway, the editor-in-chief at The Federalist, a senior journalism fellow at Hillsdale College and a Fox News contributor, who reported on the move being initiated by several government watchdogs.

She explained, "Governors and other state officials don’t have to stand idly by as the Biden administration plots a federal takeover of elections. That’s the message being sent by the heads of two good government groups in a new memo to state officials."

She cites Russ Vought of the Center for Renewing America and Tarren Bragdon of the Foundation for Government Accountability who issued a statement: "The Biden administration wants to use federal government resources for political, get-out-the-vote purposes, and it’s up to strong leaders in state and local government to stop them. We strongly urge those in positions of power to stop President Biden’s power grab and act soon."

Senate Democrats Pushing $500 Billion Climate, Obamacare Package
[Breitbart] Senate Democrats want to pass a $500 billion package that would include major reforms to health care, climate change, and taxes, according to a report.
What the hell? We can afford it. We're rollin’ in money. $1.2 trillion in circulation + $1.9 trillion in "stimulus" + $.5 trillion fresh pork = 300% inflation. Check with your local gas station to check my figures. Double check at the meat counter. We had 8% inflation on a good day. And I think I forgot another trillion and a half pork "infrastructure."
NBC News reported that Sen. Joe Manchin
...Dem senator-for-life from West Virginia. Manchin is one of the approximately one (okay, two) Dem senators who exhibits more integrity than Jello, often even representing his constituents...
(D-WV), who was primarily responsible for tanking the Build Back Better Act, continues to hold talks with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer
...Senator-for-life from New York, renowned for his love of standing in front of cameras and microphones. Schumer has been a professional politician since 1975, when disco was in flower, which is 46.58601 years, or 326.10207 years in dog years. Senate minority leader as of 2017...
(D-NY) on a reconciliation package that would spend $500 billion and raise $1 trillion in revenue.

The package would primarily focus on health care, energy, and taxes. One source told NBC News that the "ceiling" for climate change funding would be capped at $300 billion, making it a significant fixture of the package. Another provision that would allow Medicare to negotiate the price of prescription drugs would be expected to save money.

This would allow for Senate Democrats to potentially include extending enhanced Obamacare
...aka the Affordable Care Act, an ineptly designed and worse executed piece of legislation designed to bring 17 percent of the U.S. economy under the direct control of the government. The previous iteration, known as Hillarycare, was laughed out of Washington. This stinker was passed on a party-line vote without being read...
subsidies in the bill, which would cost $220 billion if the subsidies were extended permanently, according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

Conservatives in 9 States Call for Closed Primaries by 2024
A little late for this year’s primaries, I suppose.
[EpochTimes] Conservative leaders in Georgia and Ohio are spearheading calls for Republicans to close their state primaries and allow only voters registered with their parties to participate in inter-party preliminary elections.
Good idea.
Atlanta Tea Party co-founder and President Debbie Dooley and Ohio Republican gubernatorial candidate Jim Renacci both told The Epoch Times that Democrats are "weaponizing" crossover voting to skew outcomes in key GOP primaries across the country either to ensure the election of moderates or to nominate candidates unlikely to be successful in a general election.

Dooley, Renacci, and other conservatives are calling on Republican politicians in their states to close primaries to only those registered with parties.

They join the leaders of conservative groups and GOP politicians in at least seven other states—including Alabama, Montana, Missouri, Tennessee, New Hampshire, Wyoming, and Texas—who are lobbying for more restrictive primary elections before the 2024 election cycle.

TIDE OF ’CROSSOVERS’
"Democrats did mischief" in Georgia, Dooley said, citing analyses from The News Agency that Dare Not be Named and Landmark Communications that estimate anywhere from 67,000 to 85,000 voters who cast ballots in the state’s 2020 Democratic primaries voted in Republican primaries on May 24, 2022.

The analyses confirmed conservatives’ contention that a Democrat-orchestrated tide of "crossover" votes proved decisive as Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger garnered the required 50 percent in the GOP primary to avoid a runoff against Trump-backed challenger Rep. Jody Hice (R-Ga.).

#3  Open primaries, jungle primaries, whatever. It's all just another opportunity for mischief, shenanigans and outright cheating which, of course, is why the Democrats like it.

#4  I believe open primaries are bad. The greatest leverage point against them will be in 2024. We can all threaten to install Buttigieg as Trump’s opponent. They can’t install Cheney in Wyoming; there aren’t enough Democrats. After a couple of more years of Biden Harris Obama, we will have commanding majorities in rational states.

Thanks to Dems, Trump is Still Winning
[AmThinker] For decades, conservatives ceded the cultural battlefield to the likes of John Maverick McCain
... late Senator-for-Life from Arizona, former presidential candidate and even more former foot soldier in the Reagan Revolution. As an ordinary citizen he greased the infamous hookers peeing on the Obamabed in Moscow dossier in an attempt to smear President Trump...
, Willard Mitt Romney, aka Pierre Delecto
...former governor of Massachussetts, the Publican nominee for president in 2012, now Senator from Utah. He is the son of the former governor of Michigan, George Romney, who himself ran for president after saving American Motors from failure, though not permanently. Romney has a record as a successful businessman, heading Bain Capital, and he rescued the 2002 Winter Olympics from the midst of bribery and mismanagement scandals. He is currently a trans Republican and a member in good standing of the Never Trump Party, attempting to assume the mantle of the late John McCain...
, Paul Ryan
...Former Speaker of the House, U.S. Representative for Wisconsin's 1st congressional district, serving since 1999. He is a member of the Republican Party. He proposed an alternative to President Obama's 2011 budget and made himself the target of both Democrat and Republican verbal pies...
, and John It is not pronounced 'Boner!' Boehner
... the occasionally weepy former establishmentarian leader of House Republicans...
. We were told, that if we wanted to win, to shut up on social issues such as child sacrifice abortion, religious freedom, immigration, gay marriage, gun rights, etc. — because to argue for life (and against child sacrifice abortion), for heterosexual marriage, for public prayer, for school choice, for secure borders, or for any other rights was far too contentious. Doing so would anger half the electorate.

Instead, our faux leaders said we must focus only on taxes, balanced budgets, and other fiscal issues. In the process, a few battles were won but the war was being lost. America, as our forefathers and the Greatest Generation knew it, was being destroyed one progressive victory at a time — cultural death by a 1,000 cuts. If you were disgusted with misogynist rap lyrics on the radio, killing of babies in the womb, sexual grooming of young children, and racism openly taught in schools, tough; get used to it because that’s the new norm. You must accept the most abhorrent behavior or be called racist, homophobe, misogynist, and on and on. Learn to love it because more’s coming. And it did.

Having been neglected by neocons, denigrated by Obama for "clinging to our guns and Bibles", and punked by way too many Republicans for far too long; conservative voters were disgusted with the GOP and looked for someone/anyone who talked straight and talked to them. Then, MAGA Man descended the escalator, and everything changed. Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
spoke to the people because he talked about issues that concerned the people. He was unabashedly "America First", unashamed about his wealth (unlike Romney), and talked directly to us "deplorable" Americans. Candidate Trump blasted fake conservatives such as Jeb "low energy" Bush, and "little Marco" Rubio. Everyone knew exactly who Trump was and what we were getting — an unfiltered politician who promised to "make America great again" starting with overturning Roe v. Wade.

A week after the November 2016 election, President-elect Trump did a 60-Minutes interview with Leslie Stahl. She asked him about potential Supreme Court
...the political football known as The Highest Court in the Land, home of penumbrae and emanations...
(SC) nominees. Trump responded, "I’m pro-life, and the judges will be pro-life, and they’re going to be very pro 2nd Amendment." Being very prescient, he continued, "Having to do with child sacrifice abortion, if it ever were overturned, it’s going to go back to the states." Trump predicted what would happen. During his 4-year presidency, President Trump nominated (and confirmed) three SC justices — Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett. All three are pro-life, pro-Second Amendment but more importantly, pro-Constitution as it’s written. Last week was the culmination of Trump’s presidency. How so? Roe was overturned, child sacrifice abortion was sent back to the states, the federal bureaucracy was reeled in, Rights guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment were strengthened, and the SC confirmed that religious freedoms cannot be denied.

Bravo to President Trump who continues winning. To be fair, give credit where credit is due. Others helped him with his SC nominations and confirmations. Most credit goes to Trump, to the pro-life movement and a few Reps. However,
a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all...
he had outstanding support from Dems, libs, progressives, leftists, and other snuffies who are pro-child sacrifice abortion, anti-2nd Amendment, anti-religion, and who hate him. How, you ask? I’ll explain beginning with:

1. Senators Harry Reid
... the charismatic now retired senator-for-life from Nevada, formerly majority leader, who was beaten to within an inch of his life by a treadmill ...
, Senate Majority Leader and Mitch McConnell
...Senate minority leader from Kentucky. A politician's politician, Mitch is smarter than he's given credit for, not as smart as he thinks he is. He is married to former education secretary Elaine Chao, whose father has extensive shipping interests, including a company in China, which makes sense since he's Chinese. He is sometimes maligned as Cocaine Mitch because a few million bucks' worth of the drug was once found on one of his father-in-law's ships in Colombia, which is kind of a tenuous assertion, to say the least...
, Minority Leader. It was Reid who, in 2013, ended the filibuster rules for federal court nominations. He did so because Obama was having trouble getting several federal justices confirmed, as Republicans threatened to filibuster those nominees. Reid killed the filibuster which, had it still been in place during President Trump’s presidency, would likely have prevented Trump’s SC nominees from being confirmed. Thank you, Harry. Then, in 2016, McConnell refused to allow Merrick Garland
...Attorney General of the U.S., who classifies indignant parents as domestic terrorists. The is the respected legal scholar Obama nominated for the Supreme Court...
’s nomination to be voted on by the Senate, saying the next president should be allowed to nominate a candidate. Fortunately, Trump won, and he nominated Gorsuch. Additionally, when Trump nominated Kavanaugh (in 2018), McConnell refused to allow the Dems to destroy Kavanaugh’s character. Thank you, Mitch.

2. Dr. Kermit Gosnell and Planned Parenthood
...has received federal funding since 1970, when President Richard Nixon signed into law the Family Planning Services and Population Research Act. It is sometimes described as the gynecololgical wing of the Democratic party...
(PP) who showed us the evil and depravity of the child sacrifice abortion industry by killing thousands (Gosnell) and millions (PP) of babies. Gosnell’s child sacrifice abortion clinic was described as a "house of horrors." When authorities searched his clinic, they found bags and bottles of fetuses scattered throughout. The grand jury that heard testimony of Gosnell’s horrors discovered that he used scissors to severe the spines of hundreds of born-alive babies. And PP sold aborted baby body parts. Yes, this is as disgusting as it sounds but that’s exactly what PP did. Undercover video proves that PP officials sold aborted baby parts. They used child sacrifice abortion techniques to preserve fresh, intact organs from late-term child sacrifice abortions, and sold them. Such repulsive behavior turned people against child sacrifice abortions.

3. Our "woke" Dems and leftists -- for decades, lied about child sacrifice abortion. Ever since Roe legalized child sacrifice abortions, they sold us that child sacrifice abortions should be "safe, legal, and rare." Perhaps at one time that was their goal, but no longer. If Dems had maintained their safe, legal, and rare position - meaning child sacrifice abortions in cases of rape, incest, or the mother’s life at risk, the pro-life uproars might have died down. However,
a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all...
Dems abandoned "safe and rare" and have turned child sacrifice abortions into a sacrament that are bragged about by women who had one (here, here, here, and here), and longed for by those who haven’t. Abortion activist muppet Amelia Bonow boasted, "I had an child sacrifice abortion at Planned

Parenthood and it was a great experience." Then, Lena Dunham admitted, "I still haven’t had an child sacrifice abortion, but I wish I had."

Democrats, such as Stacey Abrams
...the pudgy, sour grapes lo-o-o-o-o-ser (Loser! Loser! Loser!) of the 2018 Georgia governor's race. Stacey nominated herself to be Joe Biden's vice president nominee, to widespread national apathy. She has a very keen eye for Racism in any form, to include the imaginary...
, embrace a revolting love, hate, and death culture. They are narcissists and so absorbed in their own irrelevant existence that they hate the "inconvenience" of children and love that they can extinguish such inconveniences by killing the baby in their womb. Others, like Barack Obama
If you like your coverage you can keep it...
, support child sacrifice abortions so women aren’t "punished with a child." Many other Dems helped Trump overturn Roe, including Ralph Coonman Northam
Governor of Virginia, another Dem Great White Hope. He has a fondness for wearing blackface. He won election by calling his Publican opponent Ed Gillespie a racist, but then, don't they all?
(former VA governor who discussed killing babies born alive), Kathy Tran (current VA Delegate who introduced a bill that allowed killing babies while being delivered), and almost every Hollywood A-list actor.

4. Finally, special thanks must go to Dr. Fauci, who proved the hypocrisy and the dishonesty of the "right to privacy" argument when he insisted you don’t have a right to body privacy and must get Covid jabbed but women have a right to privacy to kill her baby.

Humanity loves babies, and most would die to protect theirs. Not Dems; they claim children are punishment (and must be aborted), are an inconvenience (and should be aborted), or babies simply don’t fit their lifestyle (and can be aborted). Wrong; and because of that, Trump continues to win.

[BIZPACREVIEW] Jeh Johnson, a lawyer who was the Homeland Security secretary in the B.O. regime, has expressed doubts about the way the partisan January 6 committee presented the "vivid" testimony of ex-White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson.

To much corporate media fanfare, Hutchinson luridly claimed that President Trump had attempted to grab the steering wheel from the driver as Secret Service escorted him from the January 6, 2021, rally back to the White House, and that he lunged at an agent.

During the standard anti-Trump roundtable on NBC’s "Meet the Press," Johnson — who is otherwise a big fan of the investigation into what he described as an event that met the definition of "insurrection" — implied that the committee itself may have metaphorically lunged.

"I’m concerned as the former federal prosecutor in me — that gets you a lot of cred these days on television — I’m concerned that the committee may have overreached on the incident in the vehicle," he said in the video clip embedded above.

"It was colorful; it was vivid, it was collateral to the central charge, and it was second-hand hearsay," he added, in that Hutchinson did not personally witness the things she told the committee.

#1  Trump! Trump! Trump!
In the prison cell I sit, thinking Mother, dear, of you,
And our bright and happy home so far away,
And the tears, they fill my eyes 'spite of all that I can do,
Tho' I try to cheer my comrades and be gay.

Trump, Trump,Trump, the boys are marching,
Cheer up, comrades, they will come,
And beneath the starry flag we shall breathe the air again
Of the free land in our own beloved home.

In the battle front we stood, when their fiercest charge they made,
And they swept us off a hundred men or more,
But before we reached their lines, they were beaten back dismayed,
And we heard the cry of vict'ry o'er and o'er.

Trump, Trump,Trump, the boys are marching,
Cheer up, comrades, they will come,
And beneath the starry flag we shall breathe the air again
Of the free land in our own beloved home.

So within the prison cell we are waiting for the day
That shall come to open wide the iron door,
And the hollow eye grows bright, and the poor heart almost gay,
As we think of seeing home and friends once more.

Trump, Trump,Trump, the boys are marching,
Cheer up, comrades, they will come,
And beneath the starry flag we shall breathe the air again
Of the free land in our own beloved home.

Composed in 1863, at a point in the War when many men from both armies had exchanged the dangers of life in the field for the rigors of life in the prison camps, this song is possibly the most famous prison song ever written. It quickly caught on with the public and with the soldiers as well, who found that its catchy tune made it an ideal marching song.

And now song of the framed victims of 1/6.

Less Than A Quarter Of Americans Have Confidence In 'The Presidency,' New Poll Finds
In the 2020 election, 81,286,365 people voted for Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing...
, 74,225,845 for President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and whatever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
If you’re not a math whiz, that 51.26% of the vote for now-President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S. I'm not working for you. Don't be such a horse's ass. Don't say he didn't warn us......
, 46.80 for former President Trump.

So that makes a new poll all the more ominous for Biden, who has seen his approval rating plummet in nearly every poll as he struggles to handle domestic and international crises.

A Gallup poll released on Tuesday finds Americans’ confidence in "the presidency" as an institution has dropped to 23% from 38% in 2021 — a record low since the survey began in 1973.

But it wasn’t just the presidency that took a hit. The survey found that an average of just 27% of those polled had either "a great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in 14 major institutions that Gallup has measured for decades: the church/organized religion, the military, the Supreme Court
...the political football known as The Highest Court in the Land, home of penumbrae and emanations...
, banks, public schools, newspapers, Congress, organized labor, big business, television news, the presidency, the police, the medical system, and the criminal justice system.

The new confidence level in the 14 sectors is down from 32% in 2021 and even plunged below the previous low of 30% in 2014.

#3  He has lost the pro-Choice crowd by being ineffective in the face of Roe. If he was selected to do a controlled demolition of our country, he is right on schedule. Obviously, that will not be popular with We The People, but popularity is meaningless if our intended future state is to be controlled by an unelected EU-like bureaucracy installed to “save” us from the crisis they created.
