#1 Don't be so quick with praise. These 'walks' are radical leftists.

#2 Scores? How many is scores?
One score is 20 I think, so scores could be as little as 40-41 protesters?

About as big as the Ban-the-Banks walk down Wall Street? Still remarkable Grom.

#3 A 'Score' might be as low as 21 - remember Journalists always round up (except when its conservative or the tea party). It makes their story sound much more impressive.

#5 I thought a score had to be at least 18.

#6 I too thought these things were silly lefty wank when they started in Canada and San Fran, but Jakarta is a whole 'nother deal. These women are pushing on the boundaries of their community as EU6305 points out above. Imagine this same event in Riyadh or Teheran.

Step back and think about what liberty means, and graciously accept that these women's exercise of liberty is worthy of a little more than chortle here in the civilized world, but elsewhere it is an explosive demand for civilization to hurry up and arrive.

#8 I support freedom, but biology and context can not be ignored. Police officers wear uniforms and it would be confusing for the general populace to have to discern if the person wearing the uniform is a real police officer or not. Prostitutes also have a uniform which is widely recognized and it can be confusing for the general populace to determine if the person wearing it is a memeber of that proffesion. Rape is a crime and can not be condonded, but women should not be surprised or offended if they wear the uniform and receive the same general response as a prostitute. In danger zones (like ghettos), it is wise not to flash cash or jewelry if you do not want to attract criminals. Islam uses rape to punish women for various "crimes"--loosely defined to our western mind. These women are brave to risk that for their freedom. "Provacative" can be different in different locations. In Muslim countries, anything less than head to toe black out is considered provacative. I wish them well.
