Caddell: Establishment Fighting to ‘Hold Onto Power and Privilege ‐at All Costs!'
[Breitbart] Pat Caddell talked to Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow Thursday about election developments.

Caddell said, "One of the things we’ll see, and I’ll predict this now and why if Trump’s going to win he has to go to this higher ground, is, you’re going to see ... just how much the establishment order will fight to hold onto its power and privilege at all costs."

He continued, "It is going to be the most broad-based assault in every direction to try to keep [Trump] out of the White House. And so this is headed to Armageddon, if you will, politically."

"This is an election where the American people have bolted," asserted Caddell, adding:

They want control back of their government, and they are very anti-establishment and political class. That’s why you see such a united effort by the Democrats and Republicans in the establishment who are terrified that Trump represents the diminution of their power.

Economy
Financial Collapse Begins in Saudi Arabia
Contracting economy, falling currency, bank stocks diving - it's all there. Ima waiting for them to dump their US treasury bills & bonds, myself...
Following Obama's 9/11 bill veto defeat yesterday, and despite a surge in oil prices after a 'deal' was struck by OPEC, Saudi Arabia's markets are signaling panic in The Kingdom. Currency forwards are collapsing, default risk is jumping, and bank stocks are hitting record lows...

Mint's Bill Blain, in his Morning Porridge noted that last nights "surprise" OPEC agreement to agree to agree about talks on cutting oil production is fascinating. Not from the likelihood it may not ever happen, (the earliest we will know is the Vienna meeting in November), but what it tells us about how the sands are shifting around Saudi Arabia. Deliberate Saudi over-production caused the oil glut and was a policy designed to take out expensive US producers. Voodoo economics didn’t work ‐ US producers cut and adapted, and the rest of the world hasn’t played along.

Europe
French Jews emigrating to Israel, US, Canada
Excerpt from a longer piece.
PARIS -- Yael Haccoun and her family are Orthodox Jews from the working-class Paris suburb of Sarcelles, but they flew to Israel in late September to start a new life and escape the anti-Semitism around them.

“French people think that it’s natural when Jews are targeted” in terror attacks, said Haccoun, 33, as she waited with her husband and their three children here at the airport. "The fact that the army must protect Jewish schools and synagogues isn’t normal.”

She said her family watched in horror in July 2014 as a demonstration protesting Israel’s war with Hamas turned into an anti-Semitic rampage. Dozens of young men chanting “God is great” in Arabic and “death to the Jews” attacked Jewish-owned businesses with clubs and fire bombs.

The number of French Jews immigrating to Israel rose from 1,900 in 2011 to nearly 8,000 last year, said Jacques Canet, president of La Victoire, the great synagogue of Paris. He said the country’s 500,000 to 600,000 French Jews — the third largest Jewish population in the world — “feel threatened."

“Increasingly, Jews in Paris, Marseilles, Toulouse, Sarcelles feel they can’t safely wear a kippah (yarmulke, or skull cap) outside their homes or send their children to public schools, where Muslim children bully Jewish children,” Canet said.

A poll by the French Institute of Public Opinion in January showed 43% of France's Jewish Community are considering a move to Israel, and 51% said they have "been threatened" because they are Jewish.

Those with enough money have moved to more upscale areas within France or to Canada, England or the United States, Canet said. The wealthy, staunch Zionists and those who can’t afford to send their children to private Jewish schools go to Israel.

Moshe Sabbag, rabbi of La Victoire, believes “100%” of France’s Jews are thinking of moving, but that prospect is daunting. The majority of France’s Jews immigrated to France in the 1950s and 1960s from North African Muslim countries.

French Jews “love France, they love French culture, they want to stay,” Sabbag said just before leading Friday night services at the synagogue. “But Jews were targeted during huge demonstrations against the 2014 Gaza war. They were killed in Toulouse and Hypercacher,” he said, referring to the 2012 attack on a Jewish school that killed four people and the 2015 attack on a kosher Paris supermarket that left four dead. Muslim extremists carried out both attacks.

Although 2015 was a record year for French immigration to Israel, the numbers this year are lower. As of August 2016, 40% fewer Jews had arrived, compared to the same period last year, according to the Jewish Agency for Israel.

Cascade Mall shooter voted in US despite not being citizen
The Cascade Mall shooting suspect, Arcan Cetin, may face an additional investigation related to his voting record and citizenship status. Federal sources confirm to KING 5 that Cetin was not a U.S. citizen, meaning legally he cannot vote. However, state records show Cetin registered to vote in 2014 and participated in three election cycles, including the May presidential primary.

Cetin, who immigrated to the United States from Turkey as a child, is considered a permanent resident or green card holder. While a permanent resident can apply for U.S. citizenship after a certain period of time, sources tell KING his status had not changed from green card holder to U.S. citizen.
Details, details...
While voters must attest to citizenship upon registering online or registering to vote at the Department of Licensing Office, Washington state doesn't require proof of citizenship. Therefore elections officials say the state's elections system operates, more or less, under an honor system.
And if you can't believe a green card holder in Washington state, just who can you believe?
"We don’t have a provision in state law that allows us either county elections officials or the Secretary of State's office to verify someone’s citizenship," explained Secretary of State Kim Wyman. "So, we’re in this place where we want to make sure we’re maintaining people’s confidence in the elections and the integrity of the process, but also that we’re giving this individual, like we would any voter, his due process. We’re moving forward, and that investigation is really coming out of the investigation from the shootings."

The penalty for voting as a non U.S. citizen could result in five years of prison time or a $10,000, according to Secretary of State's Office.
That clearly slowed the man down...
"The penalties are very serious.
No, they're not...
That’s why we want to make sure we’re very measured, and this is why we want to make sure we’re very calm and purposeful in how we move forward," Wyman continued. "The stakes are very high on both sides. You want to keep the confidence level high, but you also want to protect the voting rights of everyone."

Wyman says while it's impossible to determine an exact number, she does not believe this case points to a larger issue.
"No, no, certainly not!"
"Our hands are kind of tied, but make no mistake, we want to make sure that everybody has confidence that people casting Democratic ballots are given a free pass eligible. This is certainly going to be a topic at next legislation."

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Update to previous posting - FBI Director's Brother's Law Firm Does HRC's Taxes
[TruthUnsensored] It appears that James Comey did not recommend federal charges against Hillary Clinton, in part because he is connected to the Clinton Foundation through the Swiss bank HSBC.

More than 200 republicans sent a letter demanding to know why he didn't recommend federal charges against Hillary Clinton over her use of private email servers. Clinton "clearly placed our nation's secrets in peril," the letter states. "No one is above the law, and the American people deserve a more robust explanation for your decision to not recommend criminal charges."

According to Mini Planet, a review of FBI Director James Comey's professional history and relationships shows that the Obama cabinet leader -- now under fire for his handling of the investigation of Hillary Clinton -- is deeply entrenched in the big-money cronyism culture of Washington, D.C. His personal and professional relationships -- all undisclosed as he announced the Bureau would not prosecute Clinton -- reinforce bipartisan concerns that he may have politicized the criminal probe.

These concerns focus on millions of dollars that Comey accepted from a Clinton Foundation defense contractor, Comey's former membership on a Clinton Foundation corporate partner's board, and his surprising financial relationship with his brother Peter Comey, who works at the law firm that does the Clinton Foundation's taxes.

Lockheed Martin

When President Obama nominated Comey to become FBI director in 2013, Comey promised the United States Senate that he would recuse himself on all cases involving former employers.

But Comey earned $6 million in one year alone from Lockheed Martin. Lockheed Martin became a Clinton Foundation donor that very year.

#1  Of course, none of this was mentioned in yesterday's hearings where Comey testified before congress about the HRC emails.

#2  Many of the right questions were asked in the hearing; however, the answers were disturbing. The FBI investigation was not an investigation but part of the cover up. At this point, about the only recourse is to let the perjury charge play out. It seems like this would play out after the election. Unfortunately, if Hillary gets elected her perjury charge will just get buried and go away. It's up to the voters to get rid of this dying, stinking fish and take out the garbage in the election.

India-Pakistan
India carries out surgical strikes targeting terror 'launch pads' across LoC
India has carried out surgical strikes targeting “launch pads” for terrorists across the Line of Control (LoC), the Army said on Thursday. The strike was carried out on Wednesday night, senior military and diplomatic sources said at a hurriedly called media briefing at the Ministry of External Affairs.

“Based on very specific and credible information which we received yesterday that some terrorist teams had positioned itself along the line of control, the Army carried out surgical strikes last night at these launch pads. The operations were focused to ensure that these terrorists do not succeed in endangering lives of citizens in our country. During the counter-terrorist operations, significant casualties have been caused to the terrorists and those who were trying to support them. The operations have since ceased,” Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lt. Gen Ranbir Singh said.

He sought the support of the Pakistan Army in erasing the menace of terrorism. Pakistan has responded to the government statement saying there has been "no such strike."

“We do not have any plans to continue. However the Indian armed forces are fully prepared to deal with any contingency which may arise. I have spoken to Pakistani DGMO and expressed our concern. It is India’s intention to maintain peace and tranquillity in the region but we cannot certainly allow terrorists to operate across the Line of Control with impunity and attack our citizens,” said the DGMO.

#1  Nearly 10 days after the Uri attack that claimed 18 jawans, India carried out surgical strikes in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, inflicting heavy casualties on terrorists and 'those protecting them" and indicating a change of stand on the rules of engagement on the disputed line of control.

Indian DGMO Lt Gen Ranbir Singh announced that Pakistan had been informed about the strikes and that India has no intention of continuing the operations but is ready for any reaction from the Pak side.

The response, first of its kind across the Pakistani border during peace time, was based on specific intelligence, claim reports.

Here's what happened in 4 hours, according to reports:

1. Operation begins around 12.30 am on Wednesday. According to reports, paratroopers from Special Forces were involved.

2. The commandos were airdropped at the LoC, from where they crossed over to the Pakistani side.

3. According to sources, Indian commandos entered three kilometres across the Line of Control to conduct the 'surgical strikes'

4. The strikes were carried out in Bhimber, Hotspring, Kel & Lipa sectors, on Pak's side of LoC, according to reports.

5. The location was 500 meters-2 Km across LoC, sources said

6. 7 terror launch pads were destroyed during the surgical strike

7. 38 terrorists and 2 Pakistani soldiers were killed in Indian Army surgical strikes, no Indian casualties. Those killed included terrorists, their guides and handlers

8. Helicopters were used. Mission, according to reports, ended at 4.30 am

#2  John: What you have described in #1 is a classical vertical insertion/deep penetration against terrorists. Other similar efforts can be found in Operations Ivory Coast (Son Tay, Vietnam 21 Nov 1970), 'Thunderbolt' (Entebbe, 4 Jul 1976), and Reindeer (Cassinga, Angola 4 May 1978).

While operation Ivory Coast found and freed no POW's, an arse load of North Vietnamese died for their country. The success of Entebbe and Reindeer need no retelling.

These three operations had a few key things in common; bold courage and resolve, determination, and extreme violence. No efforts at 'nation building' were involved.

A mother who decided not to have her daughters vaccinated because she believed in anti-vaccine propaganda had a rude awakening when all three of her little girls fell ill with a nasty case of rotavirus, which causes acute stomach distress and is potentially fatal.

Kristen O'Meara told NBC News: "It was awful, and it didn't have to happen, because I could have had them vaccinated. I felt guilty. I felt really guilty." O'Meara and her husband also also caught the virus and the family was sick for weeks.

And she went on a television news show to tell her story -- a true teachable moment. The group used social media, specifically a Facebook page "Islam en Español" (Islam in Spanish), which had over 32,000 followers, to glorify Isil and spread the message of the bully boy group that operates out of Syria and Iraq, the ministry said.

Operating almost exclusively in Spanish, they are accused of commissioning attacks, radicalisation, promoting Islamist militancy and acting as go-betweens for the group in Europe.

Since Spain raised its alert level to 4, the second highest, in 2015, its police have arrested 143 Islamist bully boys, with 113 in Spain and 30 outside of the country.

Some 34 people have been arrested this year in relation to Islamist militancy, according to government figures.

The Spanish interior ministry said the cell, made up of four Spaniards and one Moroccan, posed "a grave, concrete and continued threat to security in Europe".

The ministry said the cell directed its activities toward young Moslems of northwest African background.

Officials said 113 suspected pro-jihad activists have been arrested in Spain since 2015 while Spanish police had helped arrest 30 more in other countries.

The European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
's anti-terrorism coordinator, Gilles de Kerchove, said the new arrests show just how much intelligence-sharing is improving.

"The security services and the law-enforcement agencies are sharing much more information than they were before," he said, on the sidelines of a conference on countering extremism by the Club de Madrid think tank in Brussels. "It's impressive to see the number of plots which have been foiled in recent weeks, the number of people who have been arrested."

In Germany, the state interior ministry of North Rhine-Westphalia released a statement saying police had detained a 20-year-old Spanish citizen with Moroccan ancestry who "allegedly spread videos with cruelties on social media mostly in Spain." It said police also confiscated hard drives, laptops and mobile phones.

US imposes sanctions on Italian rapper for fighting with ISIS

[Ynet] The B.O. regime has imposed sanctions on an Italian rapper who moved to Syria to join ISIS.

Anas el-Abboubi was added on Wednesday to the State Department's list of Specially Designated Global Terrorists. The department says el-Abboubi -- who's known in Italia as Mc Khalif -- was taken into police custody in Italia in 2013 for plotting an attack in northern Italia and recruiting individuals for krazed killer activity in Syria. He was released after two weeks in jug and later fled to Syria.

The department says he's among about 50 imported muscle of Italian origin currently fighting in Syria.

German police shoot dead knife-wielding Iraqi refugee
[AlAhram] German police rubbed out a knife-wielding Iraqi in a refugee shelter who was attacking a Pak he suspected of having sexually abused his young daughter, police said Wednesday.

The 29-year-old Iraqi died after being hit by several police bullets late Tuesday in the asylum seekers' shelter in the central Berlin district of Moabit.

Police were called to the shelter after the 27-year-old Pak man allegedly sexually abused an eight-year-old girl in a nearby park, BZ daily reported.

When police detained the suspect and led him away in handcuffs, the girl's father lunged at him with a knife, yelling "you won't survive this," according to witnesses.

He was cut down by several police bullets and died hours later in hospital. The alleged sexual attacker remained uninjured. The girl and her mother were undergoing counselling.

Police did not immediately release the personal details of those involved.

An internal police enquiry was launched, a routine step after deadly shots have been fired, while the police union warned against condemning the officers involved.

"The officers had to prevent an act of vigilante justice and a situation that was life-threatening for them," said the union's Berlin chief Bodo Pfalzgraf.

He reiterated a union demand that police be equipped with electric stun guns, saying "police don't want to kill but are forced to if the government doesn't give them other operational means".

Germany last year took in one million asylum seekers, around half of them from war-torn Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, housing them in hostels, sports gyms, army barracks and other facilities nationwide.

Refugees admitted without papers despite ‘significant' number tied to terror
[Wash Times] Refugees can be admitted to the U.S. without any corroborating documents or physical evidence, the chief of the immigration service told Congress on Wednesday -- though he insisted that's not the typical situation.

Leon Rodriguez, director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, said a "significant" number of refugees have been implicated in terrorist plots over the past eight years but that the rejection of some 7 percent of Syrian applications proves his officers can spot danger signs.

"We've turned a lot of people down," he said.

Sen. Ted Cruz, Texas Republican, countered that it was striking that the department knew how many people it denied but couldn't determine how many refugees have been connected to terrorism. He read off the details of several cases, including a refugee from Iraq, living in Texas, arrested this year for plotting against the U.S.

"We keep seeing instances over and over again of refugees coming to America with an intention to engage in terrorism," Mr. Cruz said.

Yes, it is typical. The first 25,000 plus Iraqi refugees were drug into this country by the State Department without any vetting whatsoever. And now you tell us an average of 7% of your applicants have terror ties/intent.

Logic then dictates that 7% of that 25,000 had terror ties...1,750 of them. WTF? Did you go back and vet them and remove the trouble? Of course not...

Complaints that Hillary Clinton Lied Under Oath Are ‘Pending' at the FBI
[Breitbart] FBI director James Comey confirmed Wednesday that the FBI has received referrals to investigate Hillary Clinton for allegedly lying under oath to Trey Gowdy’s Select Committee on Benghazi.

Comey made the admission at a U.S. House hearing, where he was grilled over his decision to not recommend indictment for Clinton in the private email server case. Breitbart News has reported on Comey’s financial links to the Clinton Foundation.

Comey said that complaints are "pending" but would not confirm the existence of an investigation.

Entire State Of South Australia Suffers Power Blackout
The reason - too much dependence on 'renewables', which also makes that region's electricity the most expensive. That is, when it's available.
[WattsUpWithThat] The entire state of South Australia suffered a complete power black out on Wednesday September 28 plugging it’s nearly 1.7 million residents, communities and businesses into darkness.

Loss of available power from transmissions lines feeding the region from other states coupled with South Australia’s ill-considered climate change energy policy of forced shutdown of the states operating coal plants to promote heavy use of renewable energy created this latest power debacle.

Last July the state barely averted energy black outs when reduced outside electrical energy supplies forced huge and costly purchases of needed power to restore electrical system reliability.(http://theconversation.com/south-australias-electricity-price-woes-are-more-due-to-gas-than-wind-62824)

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
IDF, Shin Bet and cops arrest dozens of Palestinians in raids
[IsraelTimes] Nearly 70 people detained for selling illegal weapons, rock throwing and criminal activity in West Bank, East Jerusalem

Over the past few nights, Israeli security forces have jugged
Into the paddy wagon wit' yez!
dozens of Paleostinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, the majority for rock throwing and taking part in riots, but some for the production and distribution of illegal weapons, officials said.

In total, police arrested 39 people in East Jerusalem’s Shuafat refugee camp; the Israel Defense Forces picked up 25 Paleostinians in early-morning raids on Tuesday and Wednesday; and Shin Bet security service agents arrested five men this week, the agency revealed Tuesday.

The five suspects picked up by the Shin Bet were part of a larger effort by Israel’s security forces to crack down on the manufacturing and sale of illicit weapons, the service said.

The five men are residents of Hebron and Yattir, a small village within Israel. During the arrest raids, the suspects "surrendered a variety of weapons, including homemade guns, M-16 assault rifle components, a large amount of ammunition, a pipe bomb and knives," the Shin Bet said.

A drill press, believed to have been used to create guns, was also confiscated, along with NIS 150,000 ($40,000) in cash that was allegedly earned in weapons sales, the agency said Tuesday.

However,
man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them...
there was "no direct connection" between the weapons found or the alleged gun dealers arrested and any recent terror attacks, the Shin Bet told The Times of Israel.

In a separate raid early Wednesday morning, the army shut down a workshop in Hebron that was also believed to have been used to create illicit guns, the IDF said in a statement.

Over the past few months, the IDF, Shin Bet and police have been increasingly working on the issue of illegal guns, both the local manufacture of Carlo-style firearms, which are somewhat based on the design of the Carl Gustav submachine guns, and the trade of commercially produced pistols and rifles, officials have said.

In addition to the gun raids, the IDF also arrested six alleged members of Paleostinian terrorist groups on Tuesday and Wednesday, five of them from Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, and one from the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
, the army said.

The remaining 19 people arrested were picked up for taking part in violent protests against security forces and so-called "popular terrorism," a term that usually refers to throwing rocks, glass bottles full of paint or Molotov cocktails, the IDF said.

The largest number of arrestees over the past few days has come from East Jerusalem, where police arrested 39 residents for a variety of alleged crimes, including connections to terror and criminal activity, police said.

There too police found "improvised weapons, different types of ammunition, marbles [for slingshots], gun sights, gun components, bulletproof vests, pyrotechnic equipment, knives, burglary tools and incitement materials," a spokesperson said.

"The police are investing large amounts of resources to prevent the proliferation and creation of improvised weapons in order to preserve the safety of residents, with an emphasis on preventing stray bullets from spilling over to the northern neighborhoods of the city," police said.

Last week, the IDF and police also arrested some 46 Paleostinians on similar charges.

Security officials fear the upcoming Jewish holidays and the recently ended Moslem holiday of Eid al-Adha could be behind recently raised tensions in the capital and in the West Bank.

The holiday and the month of September "are always more susceptible to spikes in violent Paleostinian activities," a military official, speaking anonymously, said earlier this month. "The motivation and inspiration to carry out attacks against Israelis remains strong."

Constable guarding imambargah shot dead
[DAWN] KOHAT: Unknown motorcyclists rubbed out a constable standing guard at an imambargah in Bannu Bazaar here on Wednesday.

Eyewitnesses said two men on a cycle of violence came to Imambargah
...since Pakistain is very religiously correct, Shia Moslems can't call their houses of worship 'mosques,' which are reserved for Sunnis. It's not clear if imambargahs are used for explosives storage like mosques are...
Rizwaya, one of them disembarked and came to the constable and started talking with him. Then suddenly, he pulled a pistol and fired three shots, one of which hit the cop’s temple, killing him on the spot. The slain was identified as Raza Ali.

The shopkeepers, who knew the constable, said that he had an enmity and that he was killed by his rivals. But it could not be confirmed independently.

As the incident took place at about 11am, it caused fear among the businessmen because the area is among the most sensitive localities of the district. They said a second guard was standing on roof of the Imambargah but he did not retaliate to stop the attackers, apparently because there was big rush of people in the bazaar at the time of the incident.

Water wars
[DAWN] A day after urging a joint India-Pakistain war against poverty, unemployment, illiteracy and infant mortality, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi executed his latest about-turn by implicitly threatening to use water as a weapon against Pakistain -- this in a region where great swathes of humanity eke out a subsistence living and are wholly dependent on agriculture and the agrarian chain for their livelihoods.

By suspending the biannual Indus water commissioners’ meeting, ordering that India expedite its hydro projects on the three western Indus system rivers designated for the exclusive use of Pakistain under the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty and menacingly suggesting that "blood and water cannot flow together", Mr Modi seems once again to be pandering to his domestic need to appear tough on Pakistain, while in reality making the region less secure through his actions.

The IWT has survived five and a half decades and three wars between India and Pakistain. The treaty’s durability, the two countries’ willingness to abide by its terms and the acceptance of international arbitration time and again are successes that no leader, Indian or Pak, should ever tamper with, let alone jeopardise.

Indeed, until the obnoxious and thoroughly illegal demand to unilaterally scrap the treaty was made recently in certain krazed killer quarters in India, the IWT was the obvious framework within which the next generation of climatic and water issues ought to have been addressed to the mutual benefit of India and Pakistain.

The reckless gamble by Mr Modi to use novel means to ostensibly put pressure on Pakistain has now introduced new uncertainties, and surely suspicions, in a region that is already water-stressed and that could be facing traumatic water-scarcity problems in the decades ahead. In trying to alarm Pakistain into taking action against gunnies as India desires, Mr Modi has unthinkingly accelerated what could become another, equally intractable dispute between the two countries.

Fighting intensifies between Syrian rebels and ISIS in Aleppo
[ARA News] ALEPPO – Clashes broke out on Wednesday between the Kurdish-Arab alliance of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and militant fighters of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Aleppo Governorate.

The northeastern countryside of Aleppo, also known as Shahba region, witnessed fierce clashes between SDF forces and ISIS militants.

The clashes centred near the towns of Umm Hosh and Qura, where a number of casualties were reported on both sides on Wednesday evening.

Heavy fighting broke out in Shahba after ISIS militants launched two car bomb attacks on SDF positions, before bombarding the area with mortar shells.

“ISIS started the attack by carrying out two car bomb attacks near our checkpoints in Umm Qura and Umm Hosh,” SDF spokesman Ahmed Sultan told ARA News, adding that six of their fighters were killed in the attack.

“The group then launched at least seven mortar shells on the SDF headquarters in the area,” he said.

The official added that the SDF forces responded by bombing ISIS positions in the villages of Wahshiya, Hesasik and Tel Maled with heavy artillery. At least 16 ISIS militants were killed.

Also on Wednesday, clashes erupted between the US-backed SDF forces and ISIS militants in the vicinity of Harbal town, north of Aleppo.

“Two ISIS vehicles were destroyed and eight militants were killed in the clashes near Harbal. Also, three SDF fighters lost their lives in the clashes,” local media activist Alwan al-Halabi told ARA News.

In the meantime, warplanes of the US-led coalition conducted at least three airstrikes on ISIS fighting positions in Aleppo countryside.

“The airstrikes forced ISIS militants to withdraw from the clashes’ area,” al-Halabi reported.

The SDF spokesman Ahmed Sultan confirmed that the clashes stopped in the midnight on Wednesday. “Supported by the coalition’s air raids, our forces were able to repel the attack. ISIS terrorists were eventually forced to withdraw.”

Turkish airstrikes destroy 4 Daesh targets in northern Syria
Turkish jets destroyed four Daesh terrorist positions in northern Syria on Tuesday as part of Operation Euphrates Shield, military sources said, Daily Sabah reported. According to the sources, howitzers shelled 30 Daesh targets, while four terrorist targets in Tall Ar, Amiriyah and Al Ayyobiyah were destroyed by domestic-made bombs.

Three Turkish soldiers were injured as a result of an attack by a drone, the sources added.

Meanwhile, coalition airstrikes destroyed a building used by Daesh in northern Syria.

The Turkish forces continue to clear mines and hand grenades off of regions taken from Daesh terrorists, while domestically produced Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicle and another drone continue their reconnaissance activities.

Iran border guards fire mortars into Pakistan's Balochistan
QUETTA: Three mortar shells were fired into Pakistani territory by Iran's border guards in the early hours of Wednesday.

"Mortar shells fired by Iranian border guards landed in the district of Panjgoor," a provincial government official told DawnNews on the condition of anonymity.

The official added that two of the shells landed near Frontier Corps check post, with the third landing at Killi Karim Dad.

No property or human loss was reported in the shelling.

Locals panicked as a result of the attack, and Frontier Corps personnel reached the site to initiate investigations.

Security forces tightened security at the border after the incident.

Pakistan's territorial integrity has been previously violated in mortar attacks targeting the border areas.

Pakistan shares a 900 kilometre long porous border with Iran and the two countries had in 2014 decided to boost intelligence coordination to wipe out terrorists from the border region.

#1  That are hurting so bad they need to enlist the kiddies? I know that makes for a efficient and ( did I mention a real combat effective solution ) sort of trooper. How would you like to command a squad of highly motivated 12 year olds? Combat tends to sort people out pretty fast.

Sort you out ...and a few of your friends as well. Like in dead...

Then what have you got? And where do you go?

And they're up against the Afghan army as well. There's a vaunted opponent.

But you thought of all that. Right, Hemingway?

Petition seeking case against Maulana Aziz dismissed
[DAWN] The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday dismissed a petition seeking the registration of a criminal case against Lal Masjid
...literally the Red Mosque, located in Islamabad and frequented by all sorts of high govt officials. The proprietors, Ghazi Abdul Rasheed and Maulana Abdul Aziz Ghazi, unleashed their Islamic storm troopers on the city, shutting down whorehouses and beating people up who weren't devout enough. The Musharraf govt put an end to the nonsense by besieging the place. Abdul Aziz Ghazi was nabbed while he was trying to escape dressed up like a girl. BBC reported that the corpse count at 173, but other claims, usually hysterical, say there were up to 1000 titzup. Among their number was Abdul Rashid Ghazi. Everyone then said tut-tut and what a nice guy he had been...
holy man Maulana Abdul Aziz
...nutball holy man who runs the Lal Masjid in the heart of Pakistain's capital. After instigating a rebellion against the state in 2007, he was caught trying to sneak away dressed in a burka. He rejects democracy as un-Islamic, which it probably is...
, as the federal government has said it is a "case of no evidence".

The petition was filed by a representative of the civil society, Mohammad Jibran Nasir, in which he sought directions for the Islamabad police to register an FIR against Mr Aziz, his wife and the students of Jamia Hafsa
... the Islamic nunnery maintained by Lal Masjid....
for allegedly pledging allegiance to ISIS.

In his petition, Mr Nasir has said that students of Jamia Hafsa released a video on social media in which they invited ISIS to intervene in Pakistain and to kill soldiers and civilians, chop off their hands, behead them and tear apart their bodies to avenge the killing of the late Osama bin Laden
... who is now sometimes referred to as Mister Bones...
and the Lal Masjid operation.

The petitioner said Maulana Aziz’s name was included in the list of proscribed persons in the Anti-Terrorism Act’s Fourth Schedule and that his wife and students had earlier taken up arms against the state which had resulted in the Lal Masjid operation of 2007.

A report filed by the interior ministry in the IHC said that claims of the suspects ‐ female students of religious institutions and their teachers - waging war against Pakistain needs to be backed by evidence that can stand the test of scrutiny.

IHC Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani
... four star general, current Chief of Army Staff of the Mighty Pak Army. Kayani is the former Director General of ISI...
dismissed the petition saying that since the federal government and the Islamabad police did not recommend the registration of an FIR, they could not be directed for the same.

The way I understand it the Kashmiri muslims aren't integrated because they are the majority in Kashmir with a Hindu leader. There is no reason or effort being spent to integrate them.

The other Muslims in India tend to be in slums in city-centers and I don't believe they've tried very hard to integrate either.

I don't know how many, if any, are radicalized but I agree its an existential issue they need to figure out.

Ayatollah Khamenei Forbids Ahmadinejad to Run for President
[Iran Wire] Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei has “explicitly forbidden” former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad from putting himself forward as a candidate in Iran’s 2017 presidential election. Despite not having any constitutional remit to intervene in elections, Khamenei’s announcement has injected new emotion and drama into Iran’s already divided political arena.

Although media reports around the globe had speculated about Khamenei’s displeasure over the last 10 days, the supreme leader only publicly announced his objections on Monday, September 26 — though he stopped short of mentioning Ahmadinejad directly. The announcement surprised many in Iran, who assumed the leader would not choose to be so open about his views.

“It is true that someone – a gentleman – had come to see me,” Khamenei said in his speech. “I said to him that he should not participate in [the election] because of his own interests and in the interests of the country. I did not tell him he should not participate. Rather, I told him I do not think it would be a wise course of action."

Khamenei went on to say that, bearing in mind the general mood in Iran at the moment, he believed the “gentleman’s participation” in the forthcoming election would polarize the country.

But Khamenei also knows from experience that Ahmadinejad is likely to defy him, ignoring any hints or even a confidential message from the supreme leader. Now Khamenei has made his views clear again. He has forced Ahmadinejad to go home and stay there until he says otherwise. If Ahmadinejad dares to defy him again, it could spell the end of his political life.

Syrian rebel leader dies in Daraa
[ARA News] DARAA – A prominent anti-Assad rebel leader was killed in an attack by militants of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Syria’s southern Daraa Governorate on Wednesday.

Hassan Abazid, leader of the Jund al-Farouq rebel group, was killed along with three of his escorts in a car bomb attack by ISIS militants in the Gharz town in Daraa countryside.

Jund al-Farouq is a main faction of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in southern Syria. Hassan had led several military operations against Syrian regime forces and ISIS-afifliated groups in Daraa.

“ISIS has earlier vowed to target all rebel leaders who refused to pledge allegiance to their Caliphate,” media activist Muhammad Obaida told ARA News in Daraa.

“An ISIS jihadi has infiltrated into the rebel-held town of Gharz and carried out a car bomb attack near a rebel convoy. Hassan and three other rebels were killed, and at least two more were injured in the attack,” the local source reported.

In July, the Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the assassination of another prominent Syrian rebel leader in Daraa Governorate. Shakir Nabbut al-Rashwani, commander of the Homs al-Waleed rebel group, was reported dead when militants bombed his car in the al-Balad District. “Al-Rashwani was a main enemy for ISIS in southern Syria. He led rebel operations against this barbaric group in Daraa and killed many of them. His death came as a shock to all rebel factions in Syria,” spokesman of the Shamiya Front Saleh al-Zein told ARA News at the time.

The move pushes the number of American troops in the country above 5,000 for the first time since 2011, when President B.O. announced what he said was the end of the U.S. combat mission in Iraq.

Over 5,200 American troops will be on the ground working alongside Iraqi and coalition forces in the final push to drive out the Islamic State, also known as ISIS and ISIS. Mosul and the Syrian city of Raqqa are the two biggest cities held by the violent jihadi group that swept across the region two years ago.

The influx of troops will likely be the last before U.S.-backed Iraqi and Kurdish forces launch the long-awaited assault on Mosul. On Wednesday, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi characterized the additional U.S. troops, who he stressed would serve only as advisers and trainers, as the "final increase" needed before operations can begin, likely in mid-October.

"We emphasize that the role of the trainers and advisers is not combat, but for training and consultation only," Mr. al-Abadi said in a statement. "It is our troops who will liberate the land."

Aleppo teeters but no sign of US action
[CNN] As Aleppo teeters on the brink of falling to Syrian regime forces, there is no consensus in the B.O. regime on what, if any, action to take to help the beleaguered opposition with which the US is allied, several American officials have told CNN.

The administration may have less than a week before regime and Russian attacks result in Aleppo's collapse, potentially displacing tens of thousands of civilians and worsening the strategic environment for the United States, according to one internal US government calculation.

The B.O. regime has blamed Russia for the collapse of a ceasefire negotiated more than a week ago by Secretary of State John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry

9 die in Turkish attacks on Tel Abyad
[ARA News] TEL ABYAD – At least nine civilians were killed and several others wounded in an attack by the Turkish army forces near the Syrian border city of Tel Abyad, north of Raqqa, local sources reported on Wednesday.

Turkey’s military has reportedly bombarded the Kurdish-populated town of Kahila near Tel Abyad with heavy artillery.

“Six children and three women lost their lives under the Turkish bombardment,” eyewitnesses told ARA News, adding that more than a dozen of civilians were also injured in the attack.

The operation caused a massive destruction in civilian houses in the town.

In the meantime, leadership of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), condemned the Turkish attack. The YPG said in a statement that Turkey is targeting Kurdish areas in northern Syria “to undermine the Kurdish progress against ISIS”.

“They [Turkish forces] are targeting innocent civilians under the pretext of combatting terrorism. However, we’ll not allow Turkey to continue those violations at the border. We are ready to respond and we’ll do whatever it takes in order to stop this offensive against our people,” it said.

The Kurdish YPG fighters, backed by allies from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), had recaptured the strategic city of Tel Abyad on the border with Turkey in June 2015, subsequent to fierce battles against ISIS militants. Liberating Tel Abyad and its countryside caused a state of alert among ISIS militants, especially for its location in northern Raqqa –the group’s de facto capital in Syria.

Since then, the Kurdish positions have been exposed to several attacks by Turkey’s military on the one hand, and ISIS on the other.

Speaking to ARA News, YPG officer Habun Osman accused the Turkish government of supporting ISIS to retake Tel Abyad and its border crossing “to assist the terror group export its oil to the black market via Turkey”.

“Before the YPG-SDF forces retook Tel Abyad from ISIS in early 2015, the terror group used to export its oil tankers through this border crossing to the black market,” he said.

“When ISIS was in control here, Turkey has never attacked the group’s positions. Now that Tel Abyad is under the Kurdish control, the Turkish army continues to attack the area,” the YPG official told ARA News.

This is not the first time for Turkey to target Syrian Kurds. The Turkish army has earlier launched more than 22 attacks on Kurdish positions in northern Syria, according to military sources. Most of the attacks targeted YPG-held areas in Aleppo, Kobane, and northern Raqqa.

U.S. threatens to suspend engagement with Russia over Syria
The Obama administration threatened Wednesday to suspend plans for coordinating counterterrorism strikes in Syria with Russia unless Moscow moves to stop its assault on the city of Aleppo and restore a collapsed cease-fire.

The United States, Kerry told Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, “is making preparations to suspend U.S.-Russia bilateral engagement on Syria . . . unless Russia takes immediate steps to end” the heightened carnage in Aleppo, where at least a quarter-million civilians are trapped amid withering Syrian and Russian bombing.

FBI Bombshell: No Followup After Huma Abedin Caught in Falsehood
The release of FBI documents relating to the Clinton email investigation reveal that top Clinton aide Huma Abedin picked one username that Clinton would use on the server, despite claiming she had no knowledge of the server.

In recent heavily redacted FBI documents relating to the email hacks and the role that one Clinton "confidential assistant" played in the management of Clinton's mobile devices and email security, certain documents outline a conversation between Clinton aides Huma Abedin and Monica Handley, Clinton Foundation official Justin Cooper.

Hanley revealed in her second interview with the FBI on June 23rd the full details of a conference call between her, Huma Abedin, Justin Cooper, and a fourth party whose name has been redacted by the FBI. The call was apparently "over concerns related to a reported hack by Sidney Blumenthal's email account."
We've had a good run.

15 ISIS Bad Guys smoked in attack in Tikrit

(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – Salahuddin Operations Command reported on Tuesday that the security forces repelled an attack launched by ISIS members using seven booby-trapped vehicles on the security forces stationed in Tlul al-Baj area, north of Tikrit, and further added that 15 ISIS members were killed during the clashes.

Hassan also warned from the return of ISIS to another villages after the growing pressure it faces after being expelled from the cities of Salahuddin province.

“ISIS also detonated 100 empty houses in the eastern axis of the district, causing 50 families to migrate from the district, including 13 families yesterday, as concerns grow over the deteriorating security situation,” Hassan explained.

From his side, the Head of Salahuddin Provincial Council Ahmed al-Karim said that he held a meeting on Saturday with the commander of Samarra Operations and contacted the leaders of al-Hashd al-Shaabi to evaluate the situation and reinforce the security forces, and emphasized the importance of the Armed forces support.

Last week, a force from al-Hashd al-Shaabi managed to foil a suicide attack by ISIS using two explosive belts on al-Daur district, east of Tikrit, afterwards strict procedures were imposed after receiving information indicating the possibility of another attacks.

Congress overrides Obama’s veto of 9/11 bill
[WASHINGTONPOST] Congress on Wednesday voted overwhelmingly to override President B.O.’s veto of legislation that would allow 9/11 victims’ families to sue the Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
n government over its alleged support for the Death Eaters who carried out the attacks.

It is the first override of Obama’s presidency.

The votes in the House and Senate amounted to a sweeping, bipartisan rejection of pleas from the White House to back the president, with administration officials arguing the legislation poses a national security threat by exposing U.S. officials to similar lawsuits abroad.

#3  This is a huge win...and a sad day.

It is sad that the American people have to resort to the frickin civil courts to get Justice from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Our Presidents (Bush and Obama) sucked up to the Saudis who had handlers supporting a couple of the 9/11 pilots with Prince Bandar's money. The KSA's role in 9/11 and continuation of funding the aftermath has never been addressed.

The KSA used their most powerful weapon against us - money...and drew American blood...costing us huge treasure as well.

The 9/11 trial of KSM and his henchmen has been delayed for 8 years by Obama. Why? What "evidence" is going to come out during that trial? Is that why is it delayed? When are we going to get Justice?

And Hillary's closet confidant is Huma Abedin, a nice young girl from Jeddah, KSA...with a friendly radical ahl asSunnah family.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
James Comey: DOJ Gave Mills Immunity, Not the FBI
FBI Director James Comey has continued to face criticism over his bureau's investigation into Hillary Clinton's email, including the numerous immunity deals given to her aides. Well, it turns out, the FBI didn't give immunity to Cheryl Mills, a longtime aide:

"Who authorized granting Cheryl Mills immunity?" Rep. John Sensenbrenner asked.

"It's a decision made by the Department of Justice, I don't know at what level inside," Comey responded. "In our investigations, any kind of immunity comes from the prosecutors, not the investigators."

The FBI doesn't hand out immunity deals:

Comey added he understood Mills' immunity as a request pertaining to the production of her laptop during the investigation.

"The FBI doesn't grant immunity to anybody, the Department of Justice is able to grant very different kinds of immunity," Comey said. "If new and substantial evidence develops a witness lied [under immunity], of course the Department of Justice can pursue it. Nobody gets lifetime immunity."

Last Friday, House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) lashed out at the FBI over the immunity deals:

"No wonder they couldn't prosecute a case," Chaffetz said. "They were handing out immunity deals like candy."

ISIS executes 4 linked to Mosul Top Cop

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – Iraqi media outlets on Monday stated that ISIS has executed the four brothers of Nineveh Police Chief Colonel Mohsen Ali al-Jabouri and detonated 14 houses belonging to the members of the security forces, south of Mosul.

According to the media outlets, “ISIS executed four brothers of Nineveh Police Chief, Colonel Mohsen Ali al-Jabouri, after capturing them in al-Alil area, south of Mosul.”

“ISIS executed them in public by firing squad for only being the brothers of Col. Jabouri, who fights the group,” the outlets added.

Meanwhile, according to the National Iraqi News Agency local residents said, “At dawn today, the ISIS militants also blew up 14 houses in the areas of al-Jawsak and al-Dandan, south of Mosul, after looting their contents.”

“ISIS blew up the houses because they belong to members of the security forces,” the residents explained. “The detonation caused great damage to the nearby civilian houses,” they added.

ISIS digs in in Mosul

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – Iraqi media outlets revealed on Monday that ISIS dug trenches inside the city of Mosul in anticipation of the imminent liberation battles.

According to Iraqi media outlets, a military source said, “ISIS finished digging trenches between the areas of al-Shalalat and al-Nourat.”

From his side, Geological Expert, Dr. Raouf al-Zahawi said, “The soil of Mosul is rocky and filled with groundwater, and this will allow ISIS to only dig for a meter and a half and then the trenches will be filled with water,” adding that, “The trenches will be useless and will only increase the sabotage of infrastructure.”

Noteworthy, the Iraqi army forces backed by the US-led coalition are now preparing for an ultimate assault in October, in order to oust ISIS out of Mosul, while ISIS called on residents of the city to stay inside their homes starting next month and abide by a comprehensive curfew.

2 ISIS Bad Guys have a Very Bad Day in Mosul

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – Iraqi media outlets reported on Monday that two ISIS militants were killed in the city of Mosul by a veiled woman, and indicated that the incident is the third of its kind this month.

According to al-Sumaria “A veiled woman carrying a pistol killed two fighters of the Islamic State (ISIS), in the early hours of the morning, near a checkpoint in the vicinity of Numaniya neighborhood in the city of Mosul.”

“The incident is the third of its kind in the city of Mosul this month. This phenomenon raised ISIS concerns during the past weeks,” Sumaria added.

ISIS warned its members from the veiled woman who killed two of their fighters, last week, in the occupied Salahuddin Province. The attacks took place in al-Sharqat, which has been under ISIS control since the extremists overran the region in June 2014.

Baghdadi's mugshot placed on donkeys in Mosul
Ain't no respect for the wicked...
(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – The photos of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi were placed on donkeys in the city of Mosul, while ISIS militants pursue the donkeys to kill them, al-Sumaria News reported Tuesday.

The news website stated, “Unidentified persons put the photos of the ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi on donkeys in central Mosul, and this pushed the ISIS members to pursue the donkeys to kill them.”

“ISIS mobilized its fighters in the city of Mosul, and raided the house in order to search for the people who hung Baghdadi’s pictures on the donkeys,” Sumaria added.

It is worth to mention that the city of Mosul has been under the ISIS control since 10 June 2014; and since then it suffers from major security and humanitarian crisis due to ISIS extreme ideology on all aspects of life in the city. Also, the international coalition air forces continues to strike ISIS sites and headquarters in the province, killing and wounding a number of militants.

Money disappears from Hawija

(IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – Iraqi media outlets announced on Monday, that eight people working in the so-called Diwan al-Zakat (Zakat Bureau) of the Islamic State in Hawija district, southwest of Kirkuk, disappeared with 600 million dinars in mysterious circumstances.

According to alsumaria.tv, “Eight workers in ISIS Diwan al-Zakat in Hawija, including the currency exchange official, disappeared in mysterious circumstances yesterday.”

“600 million dinars also disappeared from the fund of Diwan al-Zakat with the workers,” Sumaria explained. “The ISIS militants waged raids on the homes of the workers but failed to find them, which raised suspicions that the disappeared persons fled with the money out of Hawija,” Sumaria added.

Noteworthy, the areas southwest of Kirkuk have been under the control of ISIS since June 2014, including the areas of Hawija, Zab, Riyad, al-Abbasi and al-Rashad.

Clinton was accused of cheating by sending hand signals to the moderator Lester Holt.

During the debate when Clinton wanted to signal Holt whent she wanted the floor, she rubbed her face in a manner similar to a baseball manager. According to True Pundit she has not done this in any other debates during her career supporting the accusation that these were signals.

Al-Qaeda, the Turkestan Islamic Party, and the Bishkek Chinese Embassy Bombing
[THEDIPLOMAT] The August 30 bombing of the Chinese Embassy in Bishkek was perpetrated by a member of the Turkestan Islamic Party (TIP), also known as the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM). The terrorist attack was directly related to a call to Uyghur bully boyz by al-Qaeda’s Zawahiri
... Formerly second in command of al-Qaeda, now the head cheese, occasionally described as the real brains of the outfit. Formerly the Mister Big of Egyptian Islamic Jihad. Bumped off Abdullah Azzam with a car boom in the course of one of their little disputes. Is thought to have composed bin Laden's fatwa entitled World Islamic Front Against Jews and Crusaders. Currently residing in the North Wazoo area assuming he's not dead like Mullah Omar. He lost major face when he ordered the nascent Islamic State to cease and desist and merge with the orthodx al-Qaeda spring, al-Nusra...
on July 2, 2016.

In his address, Zawahiri urged Uyghur Islamists to "have patience" in dealing with "atheist Chinese invaders" in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in northwest China, and "strengthen the fire of jihad" against the Beijing authorities in "Dar al-Kufr" (land of disbelief, a term for lands where Islamic law is not applied). Dar al-Kufr for Uyghur Islamists means not only the Chinese state and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, but also its neighboring Central Asian states, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

There are about 10 million Uyghurs in Xinjiang, 250,000 in Kazakhstan, and more than 50,000 in Kyrgyzstan. Chinese authorities have carried out a deliberate policy of Uyghur assimilation primarily through mass migration of ethnic Han Chinese to Xinjiang. Uyghur nationalists oppose the demographic, ethnic and religious policies of the Chinese government. Periodically jihadists of the Turkestan Islamic Party organize terrorist attacks in the region.

On August 30, 2016 a suicide kaboom was carried out at the Chinese Embassy in Bishkek. The bomber rammed the gates of the embassy with a car, then detonated a bomb. The attack injured several members of the embassy staff and caused extensive damage to the embassy building and grounds. On September 7, 2016 the State Committee of National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported that some of the organizers of the attack were tossed into the calaboose while others were declared wanted.

According to intelligence agencies, members of Jabhat al-Nusra
...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ...
financed the attack on the Chinese Embassy in Bishkek through a local cell leader in Kyrgyzstan. The attacker, who carried a passport with the name Zoir Khalilov, was a 32-year-old ethnic Uyghur who was a member of the Turkestan Islamic Party.

Two weeks before the kaboom in Bishkek, The Diplomat published an article in which I discussed the revitalization of TIP’s propaganda schemes and terrorist activities. The Bishkek attack underscores these efforts. China and the governments of Central Asia should note that the TIP has become one of the key players in global Islamic jihad and can organize a terrorist act outside of China. In other words, the law enforcement agencies of Central Asia must keep their eyes open.

Kyrgyz authorities failed to prevent the attack, indicating a low level of intelligence work and lack of training. Instead of fighting the external enemy, jihadists in Central Asia and the Middle East, the Kyrgyz state is engaged in the persecution and repression of domestic political opposition. In May 2016 security forces tossed in the calaboose

leaders of the National Opposition Movement of Kyrgyzstan Bektur Asanov and Kubanych Kadyrov, as well as opposition People’s Parliament leaders Bekbolot Talgarbekova, Marat Sultanov, and Torobay Kolubayev, accusing them of attempting a coup d’etat. The arrested opposition politicians had harshly criticized the government and demanded the resignation of President Almazbek Atambayev. The trial of the opposition leaders were held behind closed doors and they are all now kept in detention centers without being given proper legal protection.

The Obamas level with voters who aren't wild about Clinton
[POLITICO] The Obamas and Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
The former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body...
are warning voters that they must turn out on Election Day to stop Donald Trump ‐ even if they don’t like Hillary Clinton
... sometimes described as The Heroine of Tuzla and at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another Hamilton Fish ...
all that much.

While the three top surrogates are heaping praise on Clinton, they are also leveling with voters -- especially young and minority voters -- who are not as fired up about the former secretary of state as they were about the Obamas in 2008, or Bernie Sanders
...The only openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords...
earlier this year.

"The notion somehow that, ’Well, you know, I’m not as inspired because Barack and Michelle, they’re not on the ballot this time, and, you know, maybe we kinda take it easy’ -- my legacy’s on the ballot," Obama said on Wednesday morning on the "Steve Harvey Morning Show." "You know, all the work we’ve done over the last eight years is on the ballot."

Michelle Obama, speaking at a rally in Philadelphia, also swiped at the idea that Clinton is viewed by many as a less-than-inspiring candidate, despite her hefty foreign and domestic policy credentials.

"Remember it’s not about voting for the perfect candidate. There is no such person," the hugely popular first lady said. "In this election it is about making a choice between two very different candidates with very different visions for our nation. So the question is do you want Hillary Clinton to be your president, or do you want her opponent to be your president?"

US, China urge Pakistan, India to solve differences over Kashmir
[DAWN] China and United States on Wednesday called on Pakistain and India to solve their differences over Kashmire, as tensions mount between the nuclear-armed neighbours after an attack killed 18 Indian soldiers in the disputed Himalayan region.

China "hopes that Pakistain and India will strengthen channels for dialogue, appropriately handle any differences, improve bilateral relations and together protect the region's peace and stability", a deputy foreign minister told Pakistain's special envoys to China for Kashmire, according to the foreign ministry website.

The deputy minister, Liu Zhenmin, also told the envoys that China values Pakistain's position on Kashmire.

Egypt arrests 23 accused of migrant trafficking on Wednesday
It's not just Libya. The colonists are lining up in Egypt to make the crossing, too
. [AlAhram] Egyptian police have jugged
Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages!
23 people allegedly involved in migrant smuggling activities by sea and land in three different governorates, two separate statements by the interior ministry said on Wednesday.

According an early morning statement, Alexandria's security directorate arrested 11 people who allegedly specialised in luring youth seeking work in Europe into illegal migration over sea by vessels unsafe for the transportation of humans.

The ministry said it arrested two men in Menoufiya and Daqahliya governorates reportedly involved in similar illegal migration activities on the Mediterranean.

Earlier on Wednesday, Egyptian authorities arrested nine alleged migrant smugglers in the northern governorate of Beheira close to where a migrant boat sunk last week, killing more than 200 people, state news agency MENA reported.

Police said they were tipped off that the men were planning to illegally transport migrants colonists of several nationalities to Italia.

The men were arrested on Tuesday in the Beheira towns of Rosetta and Edko and are being interrogated by prosecutors.

The boat that capsized last Wednesday off the Mediterranean coast near Rosetta left 202 at least people dead and rescue workers and fishermen said they had rescued at least 169 people.

The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) said on Tuesday it believed at least 450 people, including Egyptian, Sudanese, Eritrea

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
King of Jordan: 'U.S. thinks it knows Middle East better than us'
[SputnikNews] The US thinks it understands the Middle East better than those who live in the region and this is a major flaw in the West’s fight against terrorism, the King of Jordan said in a rare criticism of Western policy.

Speaking to US broadcaster CBS, King Abdullah II said the world powers needed to take a "global perspective" when fighting Islamic extremism and terrorism, particularly given the troubles in the Middle East.

"The ethnic makeup of the region is pretty glaringly obvious for us that live in the region, that advisers and think tanks in the West seem to know us better than we supposedly know ourselves," he said.

He also said that the complex geopolitical situation was hindering the fight against Daesh — also known as ISIL — and other jihadist groups.

"I think the problem with the West is they see a border between Syria and Iraq. Daesh does not — and this has been a frustration, I think, for a few of us in this area with our western coalition partners, for several years. You know, the lawyers get into the act and say, 'but there's an international border.' And we say, 'for God's sake, Isis [Daesh] doesn't work that way,'" he said.

While Jordan is part of the US-led international coalition's fight against Daesh in Syria and Iraq, King Abdullah called for more effort to be put into fighting the group in Libya, which he predicted would become Daesh's stronghold.

"And so are we going to wait to get our act together to concentrate on Libya? And then, you know, do we wait a year or two to start helping the Africans deal with Boko Haram or al Shabaab?" he said.

Despite being an ally of the West, the intervention from Jordan's king follows similar comments at last week's UN General Assembly, which comes at a time of increased tension in the country.

While Jordan has largely escaped the violence experienced in Syria and Iraq, Islamist group, the Muslim Brotherhood, made significant gains in last week's parliamentary elections, while an increase in religiously motivated attacks in recent months has led to fears that extremism is growing in the country.

Baghdad Bomb and Bullet Bulletin: 5 die

5 soldiers die in bomb attack

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that five army soldiers were either killed or wounded in the explosion of an improvised explosive device that targeted their patrol in northern Baghdad.

The ministry said in a statement, “This morning, an improvised explosive device exploded targeting an army patrol while passing in al-Moshahda area, in northern Baghdad.”

“The explosion killed one soldier and wounded four others with different injuries, as well as damaging the vehicle completely,” the statement explained. “Ambulances rushed to the area and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital and the body to the forensic medicine department,” the statement added.

The statement further added, “Security forces also cordoned off the area and barred approaching it.”

Noteworthy, Iraq is witnessing a surge of violence since 2013. The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) announced that more than 1700 casualties were recorded only in August, in different areas of Iraq, and revealed that Baghdad was the most affected.

“The armed men surrounded the holders of salaries, which are estimated by 21 million Iraqi dinars, near al-Safa pool in al-Bonouk district, north of Baghdad,” Sumaria explained.

“Security forces cordoned off the area, and opened an investigation into the causes and circumstances of the incident,” Sumaria added.

Government
Director CIA: Congress Paving Way for Imprisonment Of U.S. Officials
[Free Beacon] CIA Director John Brennan warned on Wednesday that Congress's override of a presidential veto of contested new legislation will pave the way for foreign nations hostile to the United States to detain American officials at will for alleged crimes, according to a statement.
Detained giverment officials? And the downside is ?
Brennan expressed strong opposition to Congress's override of a bill permitting American victims of the 9/11 terror attacks to sue Saudi Arabia for its alleged involvement in the plot.

However, the bill--known as the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act, or JASTA--will also provide similar legal recourse to foreign nations, meaning that they could detain top U.S. officials, military leaders, and others.
Exactly how does the right to file a civil suit against a foreign government lead to detention of our citizens?
Leading U.S. officials, including Brennan and Defense Secretary Ash Carter, have warned that the consequences of the bill would enable foreign nations to meddle in U.S. counterterrorism operations and force the disclosure of sensitive classified material.

OPEC reaches deal to LIMIT oil output
Cue the American frackers!
A cut to 32.5 million barrels would represent a cut of nearly 1 million barrels a day. OPEC production in August was 33.24 million barrels a day, it said in its monthly oil market report.

  • The producing group will agree to concrete levels of production by each country at its next formal meeting in November, the sources said. One source also said that once production targets were reached, OPEC would reach out to non-OPEC producers for cooperation.

  • Saudi Energy Minister Khalid al-Falih said on Tuesday Iran, Nigeria and Libya would be allowed to produce "at maximum levels that make sense" as part of any output limits which could be set as early as the next OPEC meeting in November.

  • The Saudi and Iranian economies depend heavily on oil but in a post-sanctions environment, Iran is suffering less pressure from the halving in crude prices since 2014 and its economy could expand by almost 4 percent this year, according to the International Monetary Fund. The Saudi economy has been suffering from record budget deficits after a record gap of $98 billion last year.

    Afghanistan
Karzai under fire for supportive remarks towards Taliban group
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The former Afghanistan's Caped President Hamid Maybe I'll join the Taliban Karzai
... A former Baltimore restaurateur, now 12th and current President of Afghanistan, displacing the legitimate president Rabbani in December 2004. He was installed as the dominant political figure after the removal of the Taliban regime in late 2001 in a vain attempt to put a Pashtun face on the successor state to the Taliban. After the 2004 presidential election, he was declared president regardless of what the actual vote count was. He won a second, even more dubious, five-year-term after the 2009 presidential election. His grip on reality has been slipping steadily since around 2007, probably from heavy drug use...
being under criticims is not new specifically for his stance against the Taliban group but the objections have been on the rise during the recent days for his latest interview where he said the group can have control of the parts of the country similar as other Afghans.

The Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah
... the former foreign minister of the Northern Alliance government, advisor to Masood, and candidate for president against Karzai. Dr. Abdullah was born in Kabul and is half Tadjik and half Pashtun...
sharply cricitized Karzai for his remarks and emphasized that the former President should respond to the nation for his remarks.

The majority of the Afghan people have long been criticizing Karzai for calling the Taliban group as ’brothers’ despite the group is accused of the majority of civilian casualties in the country.

Questioning Karzai’s remarks which he delivered during an interview with BBc Afghanistan service, Abdullah said the 13 years of presidency of Karzai was also not legitimate.

Abdullah made the remarks to respond to Karzai’s criticism of the ongoing fight against insurgency where he said the use of force against the Taliban group is not legitimate.

In his interview with BBC, Karzaid said he had banned the US forces to carry out Arclight airstrikes, insisting that only Afghans were killed in such raids under different names, pointing towards Taliban.

The US forces in Afghanistan resumed Arclight airstrikes and support to the Afghan forces earlier this year amid deteriorating security situation in the country led by the Taliban group.

The government of national unity also allowed the Afghan forces to use heavy weaponry against the Taliban group including the use of artillery which was banned during the Karzai administration.

Airstrikes hit 2 hospitals in Aleppo
[AlArabiya] Air raids hit the two largest hospitals in rebel-held parts of Syria’s Aleppo early Wednesday, putting them temporarily out of service, the medical organization that supports them said.

“The attack happened at 4:00 am (0100 GMT). One warplane targeted both of them directly,” said Adham Sahloul of the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS).

“There are only six hospitals currently operational now that the M2 and M10 have been temporarily taken out of service,” he said.

Judge Nap: List of HRC's Potential Crimes Is So Long 'It's Almost Laughable'
[FOX] FBI Director James Comey testified on Capitol Hill today about his agency's investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email server.

House Judiciary Committee members, including Louie Gohmert, Darrell Issa and Bob Goodlatte, grilled Comey for not recommending any charges and for giving immunity to at least five Clinton aides.

On "Fox & Friends," Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that Clinton failed to secure state secrets and the evidence of wrongdoing was "overwhelming."

He told Brian Kilmeade that he would have had some very pointed questions for Comey if he were addressing the FBI director at today's hearing.

"The evidence of guilt was overwhelming. Why didn’t you present any of it to a grand jury? Why did you just request information from her and from her underlings, rather than use the power of the government to demand it? Why did you overlook obstruction of justice, destruction of evidence, providing material assistance to terrorist organizations, lying to Congress, misleading Congress, theft of government property?" Napolitano said.

"The litany of her potential crimes is so long it’s almost laughable. They overlooked it."

    India-Pakistan
    Rally against war hysteria
[DAWN] The Pakistain Civil Society Forum, Joint Action Committee for People’s Rights and Rawadari Tehrik jointly organised a peace rally outside the Lahore Press Club on Wednesday, condemning lingering threats of Pak-India war.

The aim of the rally was to inform both the governments that the citizens hated and rejected war between the two countries, says a blurb issued here.

It said representatives from civil society organizations and journalists took part in the rally, carrying placards demanding peace. "We don’t want war, we want peace dialogue between Pakistain and India," "We don’t want atom bombs, we want bread," read some of the placards.

The participants emphasised that Pakistain and India should resolve their issues through dialogue because war would create more problems. And if they were so desirous of warfare, they should fight only against poverty.

Those who spoke on the occasion included Mr Mohammad Tahseen, convener of Pakistain Civil Society Forum, Mr Hussain Naqi from Human Rights Commission of Pakistain and Mr Samson Salamat from Rawadari Tehrik.

Facebook removes Jamaat-i-Islami's page for covering 'Indian atrocities' in held Kashmir
[DAWN] The official page of Jamaat-e-Islami
...The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores...
Pakistain was removed by Facebook, reportedly for covering and highlighting Indian atrocities in held Kashmire, said a party statement issued on Wednesday evening.

The statement claimed that the page had more than three million 'likes' and it was the second most viewed page [with respect to ’likes’] of any local political party.

Social Media head of Jamat-e-Islami Shamsuddin Amjad, while talking to Dawn.com, confirmed the development that "the party’s official page was removed on Wednesday evening".

Amjad further informed that two other pages operated by the party have been removed from the social media website in the past two days. "The party pages representing Jamaat's zonal sections Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa
... formerly NWFP, still Terrorism Central...
and Women Wing were removed on Tuesday," he said.

The party's social media head further informed that the personal accounts of around two dozen admins of the Jamaat's official page, which was removed, were also suspended.

In the past few months, Facebook has repeatedly come under fire for suspending certain accounts on the social media platform, belonging to both native Kashmiris and foreigners present in and outside of the disputed Himalayan region.

The accounts which have been suspended till date had posted comments, pictures or videos to highlight the treatment meted out to Kashmiris in the latest episode of unrest.

In July, Facebook removed actor Hamza Ali Abbasi's post in which he had praised a deceased separatist commander killed by Indian forces in Indian-held Kashmire.

The social media platform had suspended Abbasi's account following the post, but later restored the account after the post had been removed.

    China-Japan-Koreas
N.Korea Threatens to Continue Nuclear Arms Development
North Korea's foreign minister on Friday threatened that his country "will continue to take measures to strengthen its national nuclear armed forces in both quantity and quality."

In a further gesture of defiance against international sanctions, Ri Yong-ho refused to meet with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

Ri said the aim of North Korea's nuclear weapons program was to "defend the dignity and right to existence and safeguard genuine peace vis-a-vis the increased nuclear war threat of the United States."

He accused the UN Security Council of supporting the power politics of the U.S. and other "hostile forces." He denounced the latest UN Security Council Resolution and asked why other nuclear weapons states have never been sanctioned.

Ri added there is no evidence in the UN Charter or international law that stipulates nuclear and ballistic missile tests are a threat or should be outlawed. He called on South Korea and the U.S. to halt joint military exercises on the North's doorstep.

The North Korean foreign minister arrived in New York on Sept. 20 but did not schedule any meetings with other world leaders.

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, speaking on the same day, urged North Korea to scrap its nuclear weapons and missile development.

Diamond and Silk laid into 'Team HRC & Holt' after the Hofstra debate (Video)
    [GP] This is amazing!

Diamond and Silk laid into Hillary and Lester Holt after the Hofstra debate.

    They had this to say:

"Now Hillary started lying right off the bat . . . Overall, Donald Trump won that debate. But Lester? He got under my skin... We don’t give a damn about that birther issue!

Why wasn't you asking Hillary about her pay for play schemes? About her email scandal? About the fact that she don't even understand a "C" stands for "Classified?" About the fact that she don't know how to remember anything? Oh, you didn't ask her that!

Well, listen up, Lester! Don’t make us fester! Or you gonna feel the wrath of Diamond and Silk. I just want you to know one thing: In the end, Donald J. Trump is going to win!"

But the transcript doesn't do them justice.

Turkey security council to recommend extending state of emergency
[YAHOO] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
's National Security Council will propose extending the state of emergency introduced after the failed coup in July, it said on Wednesday, a move expected since President Tayyip Erdogan floated the idea.

Erdogan announced the three-month state of emergency on July 20, saying it would enable authorities to take swift action against those responsible for the putsch, in which a group of rogue soldiers tried to topple the government and killed at least 240 people.

"To take precautions to protect the rights and freedoms of our citizens, our democracy and the principle of the rule of law, it was decided that an extension of the state of emergency should be proposed," the security council said in a statement.

It gave no details on the duration of the proposed extension.

Erdogan had said there would be no obstacle to prolonging the state of emergency beyond the initial three-month period.

Turkey to complete Syria border wall within 5 months, official says
[AlAhram] A concrete wall being built to stop illegal crossings along the length of The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
's 900-km (560-mile) border with Syria will be finished by the end of February, an official at a Turkish state institution with knowledge of the project said on Wednesday.

Ankara has long been under pressure from its NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It's headquartered in Belgium. That sez it all....

-controlled territory in Syria and is also concerned by the presence of the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia, which controls most of its Syrian border.

Construction on a border wall to combat smuggling and illegal migration started as early as 2014 even as Turkey maintained an open-border policy that has seen nearly 3 million Syrians seek refuge in the country.

"Construction will be completed within five months," the official told Rooters, declining to be identified because he was not authorised to speak to the media. He said winter conditions would be a challenge to the timetable, however.

Turkey last month launched an operation dubbed "Euphrates Shield" in alliance with Syrian rebels to drive Islamic State Death Eaters away from the border area and stop the YPG's advance.

Turkey regards the YPG as closely tied to Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) Death Eaters fighting an insurgency in southeast Turkey and deems both as terrorist organizations.

The United States, meanwhile, sees the YPG as an ally in its operations targeting Islamic State -- a source of tensions between Ankara and Washington.

    Like US-Mexico Border
A 200-km (125-mile) stretch of the wall has already been completed and state housing developer TOKI will build the rest, the official said. He likened the project to border walls in other countries, such as the one between parts of Mexico and the United States.

The official declined to give an estimate for the cost of construction. But the mass circulation Hurriyet newspaper said that including a road for military patrols planned alongside it, the wall was expected to cost 2 billion lira ($672 million).

Made up of seven-tonne portable blocks topped with razor wire, the wall will be three metres (10 feet) high and two metres (6.5 feet) wide. The official said private companies would be hired once construction tenders were completed.

Hurriyet cited the head of TOKI as saying that 200-250 concrete blocks were currently being produced daily at five work sites, and that the latest construction work had begun around 20 days ago.

New watchtowers on roads patrolled by armoured vehicles have already been erected along the border this year as part of increased security measures.
