MAIL update - Hunter Biden DID help secure millions in funding for US contractor in Ukraine specializing in deadly pathogen research
[MAIL] Moscow’s claim that Hunter Biden helped finance a US military 'bioweapons' research program in Ukraine is at least partially true, according to new emails obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com.

The commander of the Russian Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection Forces, claimed there was a 'scheme of interaction between US government agencies and Ukrainian biological objects' and pointed to the 'financing of such activities by structures close to the current US leadership, in particular the investment fund Rosemont Seneca, which is headed by Hunter Biden.'

Intelligence experts say the Russian military leader's allegations were a brazen propaganda ploy to justify president Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine and sow discord in the US.

But emails from Hunter's abandoned laptop show he helped secure millions of dollars of funding for Metabiota, a Department of Defense contractor specializing in research on pandemic-causing diseases that could be used as bioweapons.

He also introduced Metabiota to an allegedly corrupt Ukrainian gas firm, Burisma, for a 'science project' involving high biosecurity level labs in Ukraine.

And although Metabiota is ostensibly a medical data company, its vice president emailed Hunter in 2014 describing how they could 'assert Ukraine's cultural and economic independence from Russia' — an unusual goal for a biotech firm.

#2  This is all Russian misinformation, right? Right? The laptop, the bioweapons, the money...all Putin's lies, right? Right? Biden wouldn't engineer a coup in Ukraine so he and his crooked cronies could turn the place into a bio-weapons lab. Would he? Would he?

#3  Federal Law Enforcement and US Intelligence Community difficulty with Hunter's laptop explained.

Just a bit more on Metabiota founder Dr. Nate Wolfe.

Global Viral (GV), previously known as Global Viral Forecasting Institute (GVFI),[1] is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization founded in 2007 by Nathan Wolfe[2] to study infectious diseases, their transmission between animals and humans, and the risk involved with their global spread. An original goal of the organization was to develop an early warning system for pandemics and at one point Global Viral coordinated a staff of over 100 scientists in China, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, DR Congo, Republic of the Congo, Laos, Gabon, Central African Republic, Malaysia, Madagascar and Sao Tome.

However, as of 2019 the organization has "shifted" these areas of research to Metabiota, an independent for-profit company that focuses on risk analysis of pandemics. GV appears to have "now focuse[d] its research on studying the diversity, ecology and evolution of microbes".

A bit on Nate from Wiki.

Anyone really believe Metabiota's funding comes from the Department of Defense, Bill and Melinda, or concerned philanthropists? No, me neither.

Anyone really believe Dr. Anthony Fauci had no knowledge of Metabiota's funding and extensive research? No, me neither.

Anyone read... "research on studying the diversity, ecology and evolution of microbes" (above para closing sentence) and NOT immediately default to...'gain of function?' No, me neither.

He never should have been allowed to be on the ride.

Also shouldn't the ride have a Fail-Safe lockout preventing the ride from operating if any rider's harness is not locked and secured?

Colorado jury awards $14M to protesters over police actions during 2020 Denver demonstrations
[FoxNews] A Colorado jury on Friday awarded a $14 million judgment to 12 protesters after finding Denver police officers violated their constitutional rights amid chaotic demonstrations in 2020 over police brutality and racial injustice.

Jurors found Denver violated the First and Fourth Amendment rights of protesters, who claimed police officers injured them during the gatherings that were sparked by the death of George Floyd, the Denver Post reported. They heard testimony about the alleged failure of police to coordinate during the law enforcement response during the three-week civil trial.

The 12 plaintiffs were injured with bean bags and pepper-sprayed during several days of gatherings in downtown Denver. At the end of the trial, attorneys asked the jury to award $17.5 million in damages.

"I think we established that when there are people committing acts of violence, what the police should do is take action against those people. What you can't do is take it out on the peaceful protesters," Tim Macdonald, attorney for seven plaintiffs, told Fox News. "The acts of violence against peaceful protesters by the police were so extensive, I think that's what persuaded the jury.

He added that the city never presented evidence or argued that the plaintiffs had acted violently.

"The Denver protests in the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder were unprecedented – the city had never seen that level of sustained violence and destruction before," the Denver Department of Public Safety said in a statement to Fox News. "We were prepared for a worst-case scenario, but we weren’t fully prepared for what transpired."

The agency said it recognizes "some mistakes were made" and that all officers have received additional training on crowd control response and rapid deployment tactics.

High-ranking officers testified about the police department's response, with some saying it was difficult to discern who was throwing projectiles or causing property damage.

"In 40 years I never saw such anger against police," Patrick Phelan, the now-retired Denver police commander who oversaw protest response, said during his testimony, the Post reported.

One plaintiff claimed she was bruised during protests and was targeted by police for recording them with her cellphone, Fox affiliate KDVR reported.

"It shouldn't be a weapons-first policy against peaceful protesters by the police and unfortunately, at least in significant respects, that is what happened here," Macdonald said.

Denver has already paid out $1.3 million tied to lawsuits over protests.

THEN he started in on sending S300's (I didn't know we had any) and having the US send in M1 tanks. That strikes me as irrational. It takes a lot of training time to get a tank crew up to speed. ...There are a LOT of nations that use S-300s who would happily trade it for a US or UK system, and those are the people we're talking to about transferring them. That's at least doable.

The M1s...no. Just. No. Even the smartest and most motivated trainees - and the Ukranians qualify on both counts - would take months to be able to competently handle an M1. Now if we're talking about giving them M1s after this settles down, that's something else entirely.

Former Soviet block nations still have them. Romania and Hungary both do and I think Slovakia does as well. It make sense to send these instead of other systems as the Ukrainians know how to use them.

Sending tanks may be needed after the mud dries up, but I would rather just send them a shit load more anti-tank missiles and artillery. With the Russians digging in they make great targets.

He's a paid consultant for MSNBC and part of the army of grifters in the civil servants swamp. Hey is just shilling for MIC downplaying the Russian success, so he maybe can get a bone to chewy.
The reality is many countries have start to order Russian armaments after seeing how powerful and effective they are compared to the overpriced and all the string attached of the American ones. What kind of epic dirt do they have on 'this Barry' to go on record like this? America now is a broken country and will take years to repair and return to it's once great and respected standing in the world. If ever ….

Russia Signals It Will Limit Scope To "Complete Liberation Of Donbas" - Says "No Progress" In Talks
[ZERO] Update(11:43ET): In what's looking like a hugely significant first sign that Russia could be pulling back on the scope of its Ukraine operations, Bloomberg reports Friday that the Kremlin may be limiting its key military objectives to taking full control over the Donbas region. This despite multiple parts of the county, including outside the capital of Kiev, still witnessing intense fighting and shelling.

The hugely important Friday Bloomberg report says that "After a month of fighting that’s yielded limited territorial gains, the Russian military said it’s focusing efforts on taking full control of Ukraine’s Donbas region, potentially a sign it’s backing away from hopes of taking larger swathes of the country."

The Russian military's first deputy chief of the General Staff Sergei Rudskoi said the following as quoted in Interfax: "Our forces will focus on the main thing - the complete liberation of Donbas."

Bloomberg writes further of the Russian commander's surprising words, "Rudskoi claimed Russian troops have surrounded several major cities but deliberately didn’t seek to take them, instead aiming to pin Ukrainian troops down. His comments were the most detailed official accounting of Russian military performance since the Feb. 24 invasion."

What remains is a huge cleanup and rebuild for a nation essentially ruined by war, and a new Cold War against a diminished Russia firmly self-exiled into the Chinese orbit, with decades of cultural and economic isolation ahead. Their energy profits will come with pictures of Mao printed on them, and the much smaller profit margins will reflect their increasingly client/vassal status. Not what Pootie planned, and heads will roll shortly throughout the nomenclatura , perhaps over time including his. The opportunity from all this might well be the significant growth of European self-defense spending, and a far more western orientation of their energy policy from our hemisphere, providing we want that wealth for the USA. Not a certainty given the economic/cultural suicide path of our demokrat polity.

#2  ...Let's use the USN's Trident boats as a yardstick here - they go out on 60 day patrols, and with sufficient warning can tweak that by another week or so. It's entirely possible that you can stuff enough gear for a 120 day patrol into a missile boat, but at that point it's going to be flatly hazardous for the crew just to get their jobs done and get around. There's also the reality that as sound and reliable as the Tridents are, things start to break at the 60 day mark. In short, there would have to be one hell of a reason to have a tour past 60 days.

Russian boats could in theory and principle, do just as well, but there's a problem:

The Soviet and Russian leadership has never, EVER trusted the officers and crews of their boomers. Since the Sixties - and I don't believe this has changed - the crews' families are kept under very close watch when they're on patrol 'so the CIA terrorists don't get them.' Translation, of course, is that the families are effective hostages until everybody gets back. I can't imagine the Russian leadership quite trusting the boomers to be out that long without direct supervision, and the skippers must be terrified of the thought of something going so terribly wrong that they have to surface and call for help.

Matt,

Right now that's the subject of a LOT of discussion. I have no access to anything classified, but there is word from the herd that we are starting to think that their weapons reliability is now south of 60%...and dropping as they dig into the older stuff.

And we've known for years that their fleet's maintenance was getting progressively sketchier - see also their carrier. I shudder to think right now that their boomers might not be capable of anything more than straight, silent running...and God alone knows what will happen if they pull the launch triggers.

NOTE: Actually, I do - they won't get that far, because when they come up to launch depth the USN and RN subs tracking them will blow them out of the water.

3.7 million people flee Ukraine, per updated UN figures
[IsraelTimes] Some 3.7 million people have fled Ukraine since Russia’s invasion a month ago, the UN says.

The UN refugee agency, UNHCR, says 3,725,806 Ukrainians had fled the country — an increase of 50,854 from the previous day’s figure.

Around 90 percent of them are women and kiddies, it adds.

Of those who have left, 2.2 million have fled for neighboring Poland while more than half a million have made it to Romania. Around 20,000 have gone to Russia.

Before the crisis sparked a month ago, EU member Poland was home to around 1.5 million Ukrainians.

In total, more than 10 million people — over a quarter of the population in regions under government control before the February 24 invasion — are now thought to have fled their homes, including nearly 6.5 million who are internally displaced.

Ukraine’s refugee crisis is Europe’s worst since World War II.

The UN children’s agency Unicef said Thursday that 4.3 million children — more than half of Ukraine’s estimated 7.5 million child population — had been forced to leave their homes.

It puts at some 1.5 million the number of those children who have become refugees, while another 2.5 million are displaced inside their war-ravaged country, it said.

As leaving becomes ever more perilous even as living conditions in their country worsen, the UNHCR calculated that since Tuesday the number leaving daily has dropped below 100,000.

The figures do not include citizens of neighboring states who have left Ukraine to return home.

Chechen and Tatar Muslims take up arms to fight for Ukraine
[DW] Chechen warlord and Putin ally Ramzan Kadyrov boasted of his soldiers' part in Russia's war in Ukraine. But many Chechen and Tatar Moslems are defending Ukraine and settling scores with the rulers of their homelands.

The number of these fighters deployed to Ukraine is unknown, but their reputation for brutality and ruthlessness in enforcing domestic rule is well-known, and their presence has raised memories of grisly urban combat and guerilla fighting from the Chechen wars in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov, known as one of the most loyal allies of President Vladimir Putin

Separately, a colonel in charge of the 37th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade was killed by his own soldiers, The National reports.

"We believe he was killed by his own troops deliberately as a consequence of the scale of losses that had been taken by his brigade," a Western security official says during a briefing. "That gives an insight into some of the morale challenges that Russian forces are having."

Troops of the Russian 37 Motor Rifle Brigade conduct dynamic change of command
[WIRE] A Russian brigade commander was allegedly killed by his own troops in response to the staggering number of losses the unit had suffered during its invasion of Ukraine under his leadership.

"A Russian brigade commander has been killed deliberately by his own troops after his unit suffered many losses in Ukraine," Sky News reporter Deborah Haynes reported. "Colonel Medvechek, commander of 37 Motor Rifle Brigade, was run over by his soldiers."

"The brigade commander of one of the units was killed by his own troops...we believe, as a consequence of the scale of loss that had been taken by his brigade," a Western official reportedly told Haynes. "That just gives an insight into perhaps some of the morale challenges that Russian forces are having."

"We believe he was killed by his own troops deliberately," the official reportedly added. "Indeed we believe he was run over by his own troops and I believe he was the commander of the 37 Motor Rifle Brigade."

Reuters, using claims from Ukrainian officials, reported that up to six Russian generals had been killed during the war along with dozens of colonels and other officers.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) revealed this week that it believes that the Russian military has suffered up to 40,000 casualties during its invasion of Ukraine, which began one month ago.

Pro-Russian Z punishable in Bavaria, risk of fine or prison
[NU] Anyone showing the pro-Russian Z symbol in Bavaria can count on criminal prosecution. That says the Minister of Justice of the southern German state Georg Eisenreich. Criminal law allows prosecution of people who defend certain crimes, including violent crimes, he says.

The war that Russia is waging in Ukraine is against international law and is criminal, the minister said. The Public Prosecution Service therefore takes action against anyone who expresses ideological support for that war.

"Freedom of expression is a great asset in our constitution," Eisenreich told DPA news agency . "However, freedom of expression ends where criminal law begins."

Many Russian army vehicles participating in the battle in Ukraine are painted with a letter Z. Why is not clear. Possibly the letter stands for the word "zapad", which means west. The letter has quickly become a pro-Russian symbol.

Anyone walking around with the Z symbol in Bavaria risks a fine or a prison sentence of up to three years.

Munich anesthesiogists announced, "We will not treat Russian and Belarusian citizens. Our solidarity is with the Ukrainian people!"

Munich, 4 March 2022

Dear Colleagues:

We strongly condemn the invasion of the Russian army with the help of the Belarusian government. Russia is not only attacking Ukraine militarily without any justification – this country also threatens Europe, this country threatens our freedom and democracy.

Therefore, from now on and until further notice, we will not treat Russian and Belarusian citizens.

You can save yourself the trouble of registering.

There will be no exceptions, just as Covid-19 and Mr Putin make no exceptions.

In case of doubt, we will dismiss the patients on the day of surgery.

This also applies to patients who have already registered.

Our solidarity is with the Ukrainian people and our measures are the consequences of the military invasion of the Russian army!

The Bavarian fascists will have a grand time spreading their Gospel of Covid to the heathen Ukrainian refugees. The Ukrainians (with good reason) don't trust the "vaccine" and hardly any are vaccinated. One said, "I fear Russian billets less than I fear German needles."

But that's not stopping the mad Bavarians:

57% of American households paid no income tax last year, study shows
[FOX] More than half of U.S. households paid no federal income taxes in 2021, a temporary spike attributed to massive COVID-19 relief spending in the form of tax credits and stimulus payments.

A recent analysis from the nonpartisan Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center estimated that 57% of Americans paid no taxes last year. While that's down slightly from last year's 60%, it marks a significant increase from the 44% recorded before the pandemic began.

"The number of households who paid no income tax last year truly was eye-popping," Tax Policy Center Senior Fellow Howard Gleckman wrote. "But keep in mind: It was only temporary."

Dell updates its top-end XPS 15, XPS 17 laptops with 12th gen Intel chips, faster RAM than before
[India Today] Dell has updated its premium laptop offerings under the XPS series with the latest Intel chipsets. Dell XPS 15 and XPS 17 will now be equipped with Intel's 12th-gen Alder Lake-H processors. With this, the Dell laptops will be available in a total of three new CPU configurations.

These will include an option between Intel Core i5-12500H, Core i7-12700H, and Core i9-12900HK. These chips have been clocked at 4.5GHz, 4.7GHz, and 5GHz respectively. The top-end i9-12900HK option is only available on XPS 15 as of now.

Other than the new CPUs, Dell's XPS lineup now gets an upgraded DDR5-4800 RAM. Interestingly, this will be configurable up to 64GB of memory. Everything else about the laptops remains the same as before.

For those unaware, Dell had launched the XPS 15 and XPS 17 in India back in August last year, at a starting price of Rs 2,23,990. The premium laptops from the house of Dell came with 11th Gen Intel Core i9H processors and featured up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics on the XPS 17.

Except for the 12th-gen Intel chips, things remain largely the same with the revised models. The new XPS 15 and XPS 17 still carry a durable, lightweight design, with a 15.6-inch 16:10 display on the XPS 15, which extends to 17-inch on the XPS 17. There are both touchscreen and non-touchscreen options on the two laptops, with a 3840 x 2400 pixels and a 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution respectively.

As mentioned, memory onboard the new Dell laptops extends to up to 64GB of DDR5-4800 RAM across two channels. There are also storage options between 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. The XPS laptops support up to 8TB of total storage expansion. Other features on the XPS 15 and XPS 17 include Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and an SD card reader.
Around $1900. USD.
