Taliban graduates over 150 from ‘Jihadist School’ in Panjshir for first time
[KhaamaPress] Taliban
...Arabic for students...
officials claim that "for the first time," 152 religious scholars and Hafiz have graduated from a jihadist school in Panjshir.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum of the Taliban, in a veiled reference posted on the social media platform, mentioned that Panjshir was the same province where the group’s opponents were once active.

Panjshir was the last province to fall to the Taliban in 2021. It is known as a traditional stronghold of armed forces opposing the Taliban.

The National Resistance® Front of Afghanistan, which declared its presence in Panjshir in August 2021 after the escape of former President Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money...
, has continued its guerilla attacks against the Taliban in various Afghan provinces.
However,
today is that tomorrow you were thinking about yesterday...
a recent report on the group’s military activities in the past six months indicates a decrease in their operations in Panjshir.

After gaining full control of Afghanistan in 2021, the Taliban has embarked on establishing religious schools and mosques across the country.

Last year in April, the Taliban announced the establishment of a "Jihadist School" in the Anaba district of Panjshir. At that time, the group stated its intention to enrol a thousand "religious students" in this school.

Afghanistan Exports Nearly $2 Billion Last Year: MOCI
[ToloNews] The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) said that the amount of Afghanistan's exports in 2023 was close to two billion dollars, with the largest exports going to Pakistain, India, China, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad, the front man of MoCI, emphasized that although the export of coal decreased and there were problems in the trade sector with neighboring countries, the amount of exports has increased.

According to the MoCI, the amount of Afghan exports to other countries increased by 2% in 2023.

Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad told TOLOnews: "Afghanistan has exported $1.9 billion dollars in 2023. The above figure shows a 2% increase, which is equal to $41 million dollars, despite the restoration of the Salang highway, the reduction of coal exports and the problems of neighboring countries."

The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) said that currently Afghanistan trades with all countries in the region and the world, and in order to develop trade, the world needs to remove restrictions on the private sector.

Mohammad Yunus Momand, the first deputy of the ACCI, said: "We export to all countries of the world. We export to Europe, Australia, Canada and important countries of the world. You will not find a country where Afghan fruit is not found or Afghanistan dry fruit is not there."

The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
Joint Chamber of Commerce on December 26, 2023, said that currently business activities in the country have developed and they are trying to connect to China through the Wakhan Corridor.

Muttaqi said that Iranian investors can invest in the agricultural and mining sectors in Afghanistan.

Muttaqi said: "Now Afghanistan is the best way between South Asia and Central Asia. The government has decided to connect with China through the Wakhan Corridor. As South Asia and Central Asia are connected, we decide to connect North and South as well. China will be connected to Central Asia, to Iran, and through Iran to the world."

Earlier, the Acting Minister of MoCI in an interview told TOLOnews that Afghanistan has established trade relations with sixty countries.

Saffron worth $27 million exported from Afghanista

[KhaamaPress] The Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan has reported exporting saffron worth 27 million dollars in the past eight months.

Abdulsalam Javad Akhundza, the spokesperson for this ministry, told the media that the total amount of saffron exceeded 28,000 kilograms and has been exported to various countries worldwide.

According to him, saffron exports during the eight months of the year have reached approximately 28,620 kilograms, with a value of 27 million dollars. Most of these exports have gone to countries such as India, Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
, the United Arab Emirates, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
, Indonesia, Spain, Germany, the United States, and England.

Some saffron exporters also mention that despite Afghanistan experiencing several years of drought in recent times and the country’s farming communities suffering in this regard, the efforts of farmers have resulted in a significant increase in saffron production and exports from Afghanistan.

They are urging the authorities of the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
to facilitate further saffron exports to foreign countries through air corridors.

In this regard, the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock had previously stated that they provided training opportunities for 200 farmers to promote the cultivation of saffron in various provinces of the country.

The Chamber of Commerce and Investment states that Afghan saffron has gained a good share in foreign markets, and its exports flow normally.

Due to favourable climatic conditions, Herat
...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns...
province is the largest saffron producer in Afghanistan. Reports indicate that approximately 80% of the employees in this sector are women.

Currently, there are about 30 saffron trading companies operating in Herat, and over 80% of their employees are women and girls in various saffron processing sectors.

Reports of Poppy Cultivation in Badakhshan Concerning: Fitrat
[ToloNews] The chief of staff of the Islamic Emirate, Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat, said that the Islamic Emirate is concerned by reports of rising poppy cultivation in Badakhshan.

He made the remarks at a gathering to introduce new officials in the province of Badakhshan.

"There are remarks that after the ban on poppy cultivation in Afghanistan, there is no cultivation of [poppy] but in Badakhshan, and that people are freely cultivating it. This has caused concern for the Islamic Emirate’s leadership," he said.
“How dare they cultivate opium poppies without the Taliban imprimatur! No taxee, no growee,” he explained.
"Many religious holy mans said that the cultivation of drugs is haram [forbidden], and the leadership of the Islamic Emirate is serious about this issue. The issue of poppy cultivation will be followed seriously," said Sayfuddin Tayib, deputy head of the general directorate of the administrative affairs of the Islamic Emirate.

The deputy Interior Minister for counter narcotics, Abdul Haq Akhund, said that they are trying to pursue the issue in early seasons in a bid to not cause harm to the people.

"It is due time now we should inform the people so we do not inflict harm to the people and not take actions that he/she will not be able to cultivate other crops on his/her land as well," he said.
Her? They permit females to own farmland on their own account? When did that happen?
The Islamic Emirate’s leadership in a statement announced a nationwide ban on poppy cultivation.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Chechen media recalled Kadyrov's threats against relatives of militants
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] Relatives of residents of Chechnya suspected of extremism must be held accountable along with them as accomplices, said the head of the republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, as quoted by the Chechen media. Before this, the head of the republic threatened the relatives of people suspected of extremism on the eve of the New Year.

As the Caucasian Knot reported, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, at a meeting with Chechen security forces on December 30, 2023, stated that relatives of people suspected of extremism are responsible  for their actions. The Chechen authorities will get rid of critics wherever they are, he noted.

Relatives of people suspected of extremism must be held accountable for their actions, Ramzan Kadyrov said during a meeting with security forces and government officials of the republic. “Why can’t we punish terrorists and criminals in our republic? If someone in the family has committed a crime, then the relatives of the perpetrator: father, brother or son will also bear responsibility for this as accomplices,” IA quoted him as saying on January 7. “Grozny Inform" on its Instagram page*.

Kadyrov also reproached human rights activists and Ichkerians who speak out in defense of Islam, but do not pay due attention to the conflict between Israel and Palestine. “Why are all human rights activists silent? The Ichkerians, who proclaim themselves defenders of Islam, have also quieted down. They would compare an explosion of a bomb on the territory of the Chechen Republic to a nuclear war,” Kadyrov said.

Let us recall that human rights activists previously interviewed by the Caucasian Knot pointed to increased persecution of critics of the Chechen authorities. At the same time, they noted that the Chechen authorities continuously persecute their critics and, in an attempt to completely suppress them, use methods such as pressure on relatives. At the same time, the recent case when security forces threatened the relatives of two people with violence, demanding that they stop criticism of the Chechen authorities, is not a new campaign to persecute opponents, but an intensification of the previous one.

It should be noted that relatives of critics of Ramzan Kadyrov have repeatedly been subjected to pressure from the authorities. Thus, in December 2021, Kadyrov’s critics announced mass abductions of their relatives in Chechnya and Astrakhan.

Why the new wave of mass kidnappings in Chechnya is part of the systemic persecution of people whom the authorities of the republic declared as their opponents is described in the Caucasian Knot report “ Relatives as hostages: a new wave of kidnappings in Chechnya.”

Minneapolis City Council to vote Monday on resolution calling for ceasefire in Gaza
[KSTP] Members of the Minneapolis City Council will be meeting Monday morning to discuss and also vote on a resolution for a ceasefire in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. after a weekend of demonstrations in the city.

The Free Paleostine Coalition ended a week of planned protests and calling for a ceasefire during a Sunday event, when they marched from the federal building to senator Amy Klobuchar

However,
the man who has no enemies isn't anybody and has never done anything...
as councilors meet, there seems to be a divide between some of them and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.

Council members Robin Wonsley, Aurin Chowdhury and Aisha Chughtai are authoring the resolution, calling it an important step that other big cities across the country have taken.

"To send a message to our federal leaders whether it’s our president or congressional leaders that the largest city in Minnesota wants a full immediate permanent ceasefire," said Chughtai, who represents Ward 10.

Frey, who is Jewish, said on Friday he was never consulted about the resolution.

The resolution hasn’t been publicly released yet, so he’s withholding any final word on his support for it but did say there are other resolutions that he would be in favor of.

"A resolution calling for return of hostages or an end to indiscriminate bombing I would gladly support," said Frey. "A resolution that calls for Israel to drastically change its approach I would support, a resolution calling for a two-state solution I would proudly support."

Pakistan rubbishes US 'biased, arbitrary' religious freedom designation
Our standard is not their standard, and that’s fine. But our money is ours to share or not, as we designate the recipient worthy — and Pakistan becomes less worthy by the minute. We’re well into negative worthiness by now, as it happens.
[GEO.TV] Pakistain has rebuked the US State Department for designating it as "a Country of Particular Concern", calling it a "biased and arbitrary assessment".

The Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said, "We categorically reject Pakistain’s designation as ’a Country of Particular Concern’ by the US State Department. We are deeply dismayed that the designation is based on biased and arbitrary assessment, detached from ground realities."

Pakistain, she added, is a pluralistic country, with a rich tradition of interfaith harmony. "In line with its Constitution, Pakistain has undertaken wide-ranging measures to promote religious freedom and protect minority rights."

Raising objections to the list, Baloch said: "We note with deep concern that India, the biggest and serial violator of religious freedom, has once again been excluded from the US State Department’s designation list."

The Foreign Office spox further said, "This is despite a clear recommendation by the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) as well as public concerns raised by international human rights
...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty...
constituencies about India's maltreatment of religious minorities. This conspicuous omission raises serious questions about the credibility, transparency and objectivity of the entire process."

Such discriminatory, unilateral and subjective exercises were counterproductive and undermined Pakistain’s shared objective to advance religious freedom globally, she added.

Islamabad has urged that the contemporary challenge of religious intolerance, xenophobia and Islamophobia
...the irrational fear that Moslems will act the way they usually do...
can be best countered through constructive engagement and collective efforts based on mutual understanding and respect.

"With a similar spirit, Pakistain has bilaterally engaged the United States. She concluded that Pakistain’s concerns about the designation are being conveyed to the US side."

Baloch also said that Pakistain strongly believes that the contemporary challenge of religious intolerance, xenophobia and Islamophobia can be best countered through constructive engagement and collective efforts based on mutual understanding and respect. "With a similar spirit, Pakistain has bilaterally engaged the US."

Iraq
Pentagon says no plans to withdraw US troops from Iraq
[IsraelTimes] The Pentagon says it’s not currently planning to withdraw its roughly 2,500 troops from Iraq, despite Baghdad’s announcement last week it would begin the process of removing the US-led military coalition from the country.

"Right now, I’m not aware of any plans (to plan for withdrawal). We continue to remain very focused on the defeat ISIS mission," Air Force Major General Patrick Ryder tells a news briefing, using an acronym for Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
. He adds that US forces are in Iraq at the invitation of its government.

Ryder says he’s also unaware of any notification by Baghdad to the Department of Defense about a decision to remove US troops, and refers news hounds to the US State Department for any diplomatic discussions on the matter.

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudan

i’s office announced on Friday the moves to evict US forces following a US dronezap in Baghdad that was condemned by the government. The Pentagon said the strike killed a militia leader responsible for recent attacks on US personnel.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Government advances legislation for extending detention of captured Oct 7 terrorists
[IsraelTimes] The government advances legislation that would enable the state to keep in prison Hamas
...always the voice of sweet reason...
turbans who perpetrated the October 7 atrocities and were subsequently captured.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Justice Minister Yariv Levin submit a draft bill for extending the emergency regulations relating to the detention of the terrorists, which would otherwise expire on February 7.

Some 150 Hamas turbans were captured on Israeli territory on October 7 and its aftermath.

The explanatory notes for the legislation maintain that the need to continue to hold these turbans before indicting them stems from the complex, unprecedented and "unique" nature of the investigative and interrogation process.

It adds that the interrogation of the turbans is also designed to collect "valuable information for the continuation of combat."

The new legislation will enable Israeli courts to extend the detention of these turbans for a 45-day period, and then extend that detention for another 45 days.

The emergency legislation will be in effect for three months.

13,000 people, including 2,500 soldiers, have been treated in Israeli hospitals since war outbreak
[IsraelTimes] Since the beginning of the war, the health system has treated 13,000 maimed people, including 2,500 soldiers, says Health Minister Uriel Busso.

Testifying before the Knesset Health Committee, Busso states that NIS 2 billion ($538 million) has been budgeted for mental health and that the rehabilitation system will be strengthened by increasing the number of available beds from 900 to 1,500.

An additional 2,300 hospital beds will be added and multiple resilience centers will be opened in the coming years, he adds.

Israel lacks the capacity to treat all of those injured and traumatized in the ongoing war, a representative of the Defense Ministry’s Rehabilitation Division informed the Knesset Labor and Welfare Committee last month.

"If we don’t get additional resources and standards, we won’t be able to take care of everyone," the representative declared, adding that despite its commitment to do so, the ministry has not established a separate department for treating soldiers suffering from PTSD.

202 aid trucks entered Gaza on Monday — Israeli authorities

today after inspection by Israel.

Seventy-five percent of the trucks carried food, the rest carried water, medical supplies and shelter equipment, COGAT says

"There is no limit to the amount of humanitarian aid that can enter the Gaza Strip," COGAT adds.

The UN says Israeli limits on fuel and targeting of areas where storage warehouses are located have severely inhibited its efforts to deliver aid.

Israel says it is inspecting hundreds of trucks a day and that the UN has simply been unable to keep up with the pace.

2 medical groups pulling teams from central Gaza hospital due to IDF operation, WHO cancels supply shipment to north
[IsraelTimes] Two medical organizations announced that they were withdrawing from a central Gaza hospital due to IDF operations in the area, CNN reports.

CNN cited a statement by the the International Rescue Committee and UK-based charity Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) that says the organizations are withdrawing their emergency medical teams from Al Aqsa Hospital in the city of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza after the IDF dropped flyers in the area telling Palestinian civilians to evacuate.

MAP and the IRC said they are “deeply appalled that our EMT has been effectively forced to stop working at a hospital where they have been saving lives.”

They said the IDF “dropped leaflets designating areas surrounding the hospital as a ‘red zone.'”

WHO says medical supply delivery to northern Gaza canceled due to unsafe conditions

[IsraelTimes] The World Health Organization (WHO) says it had been compelled to cancel a mission to bring medical supplies to northern Gaza yesterday after failing to receive security guarantees.
Medical supplies? Or armaments? And how many evacuees will be Hamasniks?
It was the fourth time WHO had had to call off a planned mission to bring urgently needed medical supplies to Al-Awda Hospital and the central drug store in northern Gaza since Dec. 26, it says.

“It has now been 12 days since we were last able to reach northern Gaza,” the WHO writes on the X social media platform.

“Heavy bombardment, movement restrictions, and interrupted communications are making it nearly impossible to deliver medical supplies regularly and safely across Gaza, particularly in the north,” it says.

The delivery planned for yesterday, WHO says, had been designed to sustain the operations of five hospitals in the northern part of the enclave.

IDF knows where Hamas leader is, but won’t strike at him because of hostages – reports
[IsraelTimes] Multiple sources say Israel has identified Yahya Sinwar’s hiding place, but his use of Israeli human shields is keeping military from attacking

we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by...
Sinwar has surrounded himself with a large number of living Israeli hostages, which is preventing the Israel Defense Forces from carrying out a strike on him, Israel Hayom reported Monday.

It followed a similar statement on Kan public radio on Sunday by former Military Intelligence head Amos Yadlin.

Jonathan Schanzer, vice president at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies in Washington, DC, tweeted that he had heard similar reports from "informed people" for weeks.

"The reports coming out of Israel over the last two days echo what I have heard for a few weeks," he told The Times of Israel. "Namely, the Israelis have a good idea where Yahya Sinwar is hiding."

"My assumption, although not confirmed, is that he is in the tunnels under Khan Younis," Schanzer continued. "But what I heard specifically is that he had surrounded himself with Israeli hostages. He is using them as human shields."

The IDF did not respond to requests for comment.

Islamic Jihad airs propaganda clip claiming to show hostage alive in Gaza on Jan. 5
[IsraelTimes] In latest psychological terror, group shares video of Elad Katzir, kidnapped on October 7, mourning death of fellow Nir Oz member, calling on government to secure his release

The Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...

...a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
onslaught.

Katzir, 47, was one of around 75 hostages taken from Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, when some 3,000 faceless myrmidons burst across the border into Israel from the Gaza Strip by land, air and sea, killing some 1,200 people and seizing over 240 hostages — mostly civilians — of all ages under the cover of a deluge of thousands of rockets fired at Israeli towns and cities.

In response, Israel vowed to eliminate the terror group, and launched a wide-scale military offensive aimed at destroying Hamas’s military and governance capabilities and securing the release of the hostages, some of whom are being held by terror groups other than Hamas.

The latest video shows Katzir mourning the death of his friend Tamir Adar, whose death was announced on January 5, in an apparent attempt to date the video. Adar was killed by Hamas faceless myrmidons on Nir Oz on October 7.

Seemingly speaking under duress with Hebrew music in the background, Katzir also called on the Israeli government to do more to bring about his release.

His mother Hanna Katzir was also taken hostage from Nir Oz on October 7 and was released as part of a week-long truce deal in late November. His father Rami was killed in the massacre.

Elad Katzir was also featured in a previous Islamic Jihad propaganda video on December 20, alongside another hostage, Gadi Mozes.

It is believed that 132 hostages kidnapped by Hamas on October 7 remain in Gaza — not all of them alive — after 105 civilians were released from Hamas captivity during the November pause in fighting. Four hostages were released prior to that, and one was rescued by troops. The bodies of eight hostages have also been recovered and three hostages were mistakenly killed by the military.

The Israel Defense Forces has confirmed the deaths of 25 of those still held by Hamas, citing new intelligence and findings obtained by troops operating in Gaza.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran Claims All ‘U.S.-Backed' ISIS Terrorists Tied to Soleimani Funeral Bombing Arrested
[Breitbart] The local government of Kerman, Iran, claimed this weekend that it had definitively identified and arrested all suspected terrorists involved in the bombing of an event to mark the anniversary of the death of Iranian terror mastermind Qasem Soleimani on January 3.

Soleimani, the late head of the elite Quds Force foreign terror unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was eliminated from the battlefield by a U.S. drone strike on January 3, 2020, in Iraq. He was in the country for meetings with the head of several Iran-backed militias in the region and died alongside Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the head of the Iraqi terror organization the Hezbollah Brigades.

Iran typically hosts lavish memorial events featuring throngs of thousands of people to commemorate the drone strike and threaten attacks on the United States. Iranian officials have regularly threatened to kill former President Donald Trump and recently demanded $50 billion in redress for the drone strike.

On January 3, 2024, the Iranian Islamist regime organized a mass event in Kerman, where Soleimani’s tomb is located, to honor the terrorist. Two explosions, which occurred with enough time between them to target first responders after the first blast, occurred outside the cemetery, killing 89 people and injuring nearly 300 others.

Assassinated Hezbollah commander had role in raid that sparked 2006 war, fought in Syria
[IsraelTimes] Wissam al-Tawil is most senior member of the Lebanese terror group to be killed amid border festivities with Israel; was close with former terror chief Mughniyeh, Iran’s Soleimani

The elite Hezbollah commander who was killed in an alleged Israeli Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
in southern Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
Monday played a central role in some of the terror group’s most high-profile attacks, including a deadly 2006 cross-border raid that triggered the Second Lebanon War.

Wissam al-Tawil was described by the Iran-backed terror group as a "commander," while a senior source in Lebanon told the Rooters news agency that he was a commander of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan forces and the most senior Hezbollah officer killed so far in the recent fighting along the border.

In Israel, unsourced reports in Hebrew media claimed that Tawil had recently become leader of the Radwan force, an elite unit within Hezbollah thought responsible for a number of skirmishes on the Israel-Lebanon border. However,
you can observe a lot just by watching...
Lebanon’s al-Meyadeen news outlet, considered closely linked to Hezbollah, said reports that Tawil was the commander of Radwan were false, without elaborating.

A security source told AFP that Tawil "had a leading role in managing Hezbollah’s operations in the south," near the Israeli border.

In a statement posted to Telegram, Hezbollah said that Tawil had "led" operations against Israeli forces along the restive frontier, which since the Hamas
...the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
-led terror onslaught on October 7 has seen near-daily skirmishes and cross-border strikes from both sides.

Israeli officials have been demanding for weeks that the Radwan force withdraw from the border area to allow tens of thousands of Israelis displaced by the fighting to return to their homes.

On Monday, Tawil was killed when an airstrike hit a car he was in, near his hometown of Khirbet Selm, some 10 kilometers (6 miles) from northern Israel.

The terror group said he joined Hezbollah in 1989, when he was 14 years old, rising through their ranks.

Tawil, whose two brothers were killed fighting with Hezbollah, participated in dozens of attacks against Israeli forces and their Lebanese allies during Israel’s 18-year occupation of southern Lebanon until it withdrew in 2000.

Years later, when Hezbollah joined the civil war in Syria in 2013, Tawil was in charge of coordinating between the Lebanese organization and the Syrian army in the battles against the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group, according to the Hezbollah official. Tawil was a close aide to Hezbollah’s chief commander in Syria Mustafa Badreddine, who was killed in 2016, the official added.

During his long years with the Lebanese terror group, Tawil was close to Imad Mughniyeh, Hezbollah’s military chief from its founding in 1982 until he was killed in a bombing in the Syrian capital in 2008 attributed to Israel.

Additionally, Tawil had close links with Gen. Qassem Soleimani
, head of Iran’s Quds Force, who was killed in a US dronezap in Baghdad in 2020. Soleimani led the foreign operations of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and played a key role coordinating between Iran-backed groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas.

A senior source in Lebanon said Tawil’s death marked a big blow, given his experience including deployments with Hezbollah in Syria and Iraq.

Iran expels over 500,000 Afghan migrants in nine months
[KhaamaPress] Majid Shoja, the commander of border police in Khorasan Razavi, Iran, has announced that over the past nine months, 520,000 illegal Afghan migrants colonists have been identified and expelled from across Iran.

IRNA reported on Tuesday, citing the commander of the border police of Khorasan Razavi, that these migrants colonists were deported through the Dogharoun border.

He emphasized that the entry and presence of Afghan migrants colonists in the country cause problems; therefore, their presence must be with legal permission. Otherwise, they will be identified and returned to their country.

This is while, in recent months, the process of deporting Afghan migrants colonists from countries like Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
and Pakistain has increased.

Previously, the commander of the border police of Khorasan Razavi had announced the deportation of 60,380 illegal migrants colonists in the last month.

Since the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
takeover of Afghanistan, many Afghan nationals have chosen to migrate to neighboring countries such as Iran and Pakistain or to Western countries. They are driven by the desire for a better life and the need to escape persecution, security threats, and a lack of financial and economic opportunities in their homeland.

Upon reaching these countries, however, Afghan migrants colonists often encounter a new set of challenges. The main plight begins as they face torture, harassment, deportation, and imprisonment. These hardships are pervasive and impact a large number of individuals seeking refuge.

Therefore, the journey of Afghan nationals is marked by a continuous struggle, starting from the decision to leave their country to the difficulties they face in their destinations. The promise of a safer and more prosperous life remains elusive for many as they navigate through these harsh realities.

It is worth mentioning that according to the statistics of the United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
, about 3.5 million Afghan citizens live in Iran, most of whom are migrants colonists without residency documents.
