In the area of Serebryansky forest, five attacks of the 42nd and 67th Separate Mechanized Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were repelled. The enemy was stopped by artillery fire

ATGM crews thwarted two attempts to transfer reserves of the 42nd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 5th Brigade of the National Guard.

Missile units of the Southern Group of Forces attacked the Mezhevaya unloading station in the Avdeevsky direction. Three wagons with ammunition, ten units of transport vehicles and a significant amount of enemy manpower were destroyed.

Also, the missile strike was carried out by crews of Tornado-S multiple launch rocket systems in the area of concentration of manpower and firepower of the 3rd motorized infantry battalion of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the settlement of Novodmitrovka.

The Su-25 aircraft of the group's ground attack aircraft hit the concentrations of enemy manpower in the Lisichansky, Soledaro-Artemovsky, Alexander-Kalinovsky and Mar'yinsky directions.

The artillery of the group struck at the point of temporary deployment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces unit in the Novomikhailovka area, the control point for enemy unmanned aerial vehicles in Lastochkino, pickup trucks with infantry in Krasnohorivka, Avdeevka, Belogorovka, as well as the Humvee infantry fighting vehicle in the Kleshcheevka area were hit.

During the counterbattery fight, a 152mm D-20 howitzer was destroyed in Dyleevka, 120mmr mortars in the areas of Grigorovka, Belogorovka, Kurdyumovka and Thin. Loitering ammunition "Lancet" struck an enemy infantry fighting vehicle in the area of Privolnoye.

FPV drones destroyed an armored "Hammer" and two pickup trucks with saboteurs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kleshcheevka area.

In the Krasnolimansky direction, the crews of the assault and army aviation of the "Center" group of forces launched eight missile strikes on the accumulation of manpower and firepower of the enemy in the areas: Novosadovoe, Chervonaya Dibrova.

In the area of the Torsky section and Serebryansky forest, the enemy made five attempts to regain lost positions. The advanced units of the "Center" group, with the support of artillery fire, inflicted fire damage on the assault groups of 63 and 42 Mechanized Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which attempted to attack the positions of Russian troops. Enemy losses amounted to more than 30 militants, a tank, an infantry fighting vehicle and two Pickup vehicles were destroyed.

As part of the counterbattery fight, about 30 enemy artillery positions were opened and suppressed, and a 120mm mortar with a crew was hit.

Anti-aircraft missile system "Tor-M1" shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Kremennaya.

The advanced units of the Vostok group of forces, with the support of artillery and aviation, repelled an enemy attack in the direction of Urozhaynoye. During the battle, three groups of infantry were destroyed. A strike UAV destroyed a tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The activity of two enemy reconnaissance groups in the area south of Chervonoy was suppressed.

Artillery fire destroyed the enemy’s combat position in Staromayorsky, hit the command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Velika Novoselka, two points of temporary deployment of militants in Ugledar, a pickup truck with nationalists in the Ravnopol region, as well as an armored car with militants and a 152mm Msta-B howitzer in the Konstantinovka area.

During the counterbattery fight, two mortar crews were destroyed northwest of Novodonetsk and west of Makarovka. Rocket artillery destroyed an electronic warfare station in the Razdolny area.

Assault and army aviation hit the places of accumulation of manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Staromayorsky and Urozhayny.

Air defense systems shot down two UAVs of the Val'kyrie type and one Fury.

The military personnel of the Vostok group of troops show courage and heroism in the performance of combat missions.

The driver of a tank company of a tank regiment of the group, corporal Denis Semyonov, as part of the tank crew, performed tasks to repel attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in one of the sectors of the South-Donetsk direction.

During one of the battles, tankers, despite the fire impact of the artillery of the Ukrainian troops, managed in a short time to identify and destroy several foreign-made armored combat vehicles with direct fire.

In the future, thanks to the combat experience of driving and the dedication of Corporal Semenov, the tank crew performed a timely and covert change of firing position, preventing the enemy from calculating the location and striking back at the combat vehicle.

Most of the village is still in the gray zone. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation do not have full control over the village. The Armed Forces of Ukraine earlier crawled to the southern outskirts.

Petropavlovka is still under the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Fighting is going on next to the village, but not yet in the village itself. There is no need to run ahead of the locomotive.

It is expected that combat groups of two enemy brigades previously operating in the Zaporozhye direction will be transferred to the Kupyansk direction.

Zaporozhye area:
Rabotino. On August 18, there was a lull: the Armed Forces of Ukraine were regrouping and pulling up the reserve to the northern outskirts. On the night of the 20th to the 21st, fighting resumed.

Ukrainian troops are trying to reach the northern border of the village, but attempts to gain a foothold so far have not led to anything. Most of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, after unsuccessful attacks, roll back to their original position and accumulate in forest plantations, where they are covered by artillery. The bulk of the Ukrainian troops are concentrated on the Rabotino-Verbove sector.

Many foreign mercenaries are recorded, presumably as part of the 82nd Specialized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Swedes, Danes, Norwegians. The village is under fire control of the RF Armed Forces.

Pyatikhatki - Foals. A similar situation. Over the weekend, the Armed Forces of Ukraine regrouped and again tried to carry out several sorties without equipment, but under the cover of artillery. The units were seen from the air and worked out by artillery, after which they retreated to their original positions. Heavy mining and a bunch of artillery + aviation of the Russian Armed Forces still prevent Ukrainian troops from moving in the area.

Pyaikhatki - Gulyaipole. The main attempts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to move forward in this area are concentrated along the railway line and the T-04-01 highway. At the junction of the Zaporozhye region and the DPR, in the area of Ol'govsky and Poltavka, enemy DRGs accumulated for several days. On Sunday evening, a temporary deployment point in the forest belts was discovered and destroyed, after which there is a temporary lull. Artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area works much less than usual.

South-Donetsk direction:
Urozhaynoye and Staromayorskoye are in the gray zone. The Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot enter there without loss, so they are looking for workarounds through fields and mines. Losses are constantly growing. So far, there has been a relative lull both in the operation of equipment and in attacks in general, which is associated with the regrouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for subsequent attacks. The 37th Naval Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffers especially heavy losses: this formation does not carry out attacks in the forehead, when trying to advance east of the brigade column, they were ambushed several times and hit by artillery.

Russian artillery is actively working along the section between Novodonetsky and Prechistovka. As long as the weather permits, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are concentrating all their forces in the forest belts, which makes it impossible to quickly evacuate troops and ammunition in the event of shelling.

Artyomovsk direction:
The alignment of the front line along the flanks in the south and north continues. The five-week assault on Kleshcheevka did not bring the expected result to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Over the past few days, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have minus 15 infantry fighting vehicles on a three-kilometer section between Kleshcheevka and Andreevka.

In the north, in the Vasyukovka area, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are gradually reducing the intensity of attacks. There are big losses. Also, after a series of failures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and several counterattacks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the surviving units of the Ukrainian army from the northern direction are being transferred near Kupyansk.

Kupyansk direction:
Sin'kovka is currently in the gray area. Presumably, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already left the village, the former defensive lines of the Ukrainian army in this area are now being examined from the air. Rocket artillery and aviation are constantly working on the objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the positions of the 14th and 92nd Motorized Brigade. FAB-250 adjustable air bombs with planning and correction modules are widely used. It is reported that with the help of these munitions, the central bridge across the Oskol River was disabled.

With its help, the left and right banks of Kupyansk were connected. In the area of Kislovka and Kotlyarovka, the 202nd Separate Territorial Defense Battalion and units of the 88th Motorized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are in a difficult situation. If this area is abandoned by Ukrainian troops, the way to Kupyansk-Uzlovaya, five kms from Kupyansk itself, will be opened for the RF Armed Forces. The first signs of a deterioration in the situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kupyansk are already there: there are reports

Direction of the main attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Orekhovsky section of the Zaporozhye Front.

The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not stop throwing units of the 82nd Airborne Brigade, 47th and 65th Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into attacks. At night and in the morning, enemy assault groups, supported by armored vehicles and artillery, again attacked our positions in the fields at the Rabotino-Verbovoye line.

The enemy is actively covered by our artillery. Several units of enemy equipment were hit by fire from Russian fighters. There are also battles for Rabotino itself, the enemy enters the village from the north side.

“Three assault groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to break through the Russian defenses near the village of Verbove in the Zaporozhye direction that night, but were destroyed,” said the head of the Balitsky region.

On the Vremevsky sector, the front line of enemy units preparing offensive operations in the direction of Cherished Zhelaniya and Staromlynovka runs along the southern border of Urozhaynoye and forest belts adjacent to the southern borders of the village. In these places, as well as in Staromayorsky and Urozhayny itself, fire damage is systematically inflicted, including by TOS.

This makes it difficult, but does not completely block the possibility of rotating units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Urozhayne. In general, for several days now there has been a decrease in enemy activity in this area, which indicates (in our subjective opinion) not about the exhaustion of the offensive potential, but about the preparation of a throw on the Staromlynovka-Kermenchik line.

To the north of Priyutnoye, the location of the Ukrainian DRG was discovered, which managed to drag a small ammunition depot into the forest belt. The object was destroyed by fire from the AGS, a secondary detonation of the BC was observed. During the night, two more DRGs were also opened in the area, which were scattered by artillery and mortar fire.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are completing the restoration of the combat capability of their 31st Brigade, previously withdrawn to the rear for resupply. The use of this mechanized brigade in this direction is expected. In total, units of the 35th, 37th and 38th Infantry Regiments, as well as 1st Brigade and 128th Brigade of the enemy's territorial defense are currently present in the Vremevsky sector.

In the Ugledarsky area, the situation remains relatively calm. One can only single out some activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Pavlovka area to the north-west of the settlement, which was suppressed by artillery fire.

Despite the insinuations about Rabotino in the Zaporozhye direction in the enemy media, it is premature to talk about the withdrawal of the Russian military from the settlement, to put it mildly. The enemy is currently trying to attack the positions of the RF Armed Forces and gain a foothold in the northern part of the village, which has actually turned into a gray zone.

But, according to reports from the field, it is problematic to do this because of the constant work of our artillery. Approximately the same situation is in Verbovoye - enemy forces are constantly destroyed there.

In the Bakhmut (Artemovsky) direction, the enemy does not leave attempts to attack Kleshcheevka - but the reinforcements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine approaching the front line are destroyed by our artillery. In addition, there was a probing of our positions in the Donetsk direction near Avdievka.

A positive situation is developing in the Kupyansk direction, where the Russian military continues to take one after another the supporters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - this is especially true of Sin'kovka, where the fighting is taking place directly in the village, as well as Petropavlovka. It is difficult to go on the attack on this sector of the front, especially considering that this night Russian aviation worked out in the very district center.

Changes in the situation in the Kupyansk direction indicate a qualitative change:

Firstly, we are talking about the enemy striking at the bridge over the Oskol. After that, in fact, the left-bank part of the agglomeration remains cut off from the city itself.

Secondly, as in the case of the Balakley-Izyum counteroffensive last summer, which was carried out by small forces with good information and psychological support, the enemy begins to “disperse” the topic of a counterattack in the Kupyansk area. Balakleya, and like Kupyansk in August-September 2022, were taken by 400 people, conditionally with “two tanks and three infantry fighting vehicles”, and our units defending these cities, having swallowed the misinformation, automatically retreated to Kucherovka and dug in there.

Realizing that now the forces and means of the 6th Army and 1st tank Army of the RF Armed Forces are concentrating on this sector, the TsIPSO SOF of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are throwing disinformation through controlled channels about the alleged transfer to the Kupyansky sector of reinforcement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the preparation of offensive operations for August 24.

The stuffing also contains information about the transfer of additional equipment and weapons. The enemy in correspondence and personal conversations on the gsm-ether actively exaggerates the topic "waiting for orders." Many pro-Ukrainian Telegram channels have already officially begun to talk about the topic of the upcoming “battle for Kupyansk”, which write that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will squeeze the Russian army out of Lyman First.

Well - let's refute the enemy's attempts to sow panic and confusion by throwing out frank "misinformation":

Now the enemy is completing the construction of a line of defense in the Shevchenkove region, which has already been done for the second month. The number of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area is far from the reserves required for a counteroffensive. Mobilized units from Odessa and L'vov are standing on the site, which create the appearance of the presence of the army.

Realizing that there are people left in Kupyansk itself who are waiting for the return of the RF Armed Forces, in the classic of information and psychological operations, the enemy defiantly launches columns consisting of several pieces of equipment along the surrounding roads (the composition and sequence of vehicles changes, but there is no transfer).

Leopard tanks, self-propelled guns Krab, M113 with a false turret were seen in the columns. They are also transported on tractors, creating the appearance of a transfer. Of course, one should not assume that there are no reserves at all in the Kupyansk direction - no. Their number is sufficient to partially deter our offensive. But not for a full-fledged counterattack.

Most of the “colleagues in the shop” form the opinion that the enemy is purposefully surrendering Kupyansk in order, following the example of Bakhmut, to subsequently tie down our large forces in this area, forcing us to defend the city from the flanks. The "Bakhmut precedent" and the tactics of flank attacks instilled confidence in the minds of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Undermining bridge crossings over the Oskol is a signal to us that the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not plan to defend the eastern part of the city. The question is where the equipment from the forest south of the Sakhzavod will go. It is possible that in the direction of Borovaya. But a demonstration of unpreparedness for defense is evident here.

In the Zaporizhia direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the support of artillery, attacked between the villages of Rabotino and Verbove. There is a promotion. Part of the forward defense lines of the RF Armed Forces is now under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions in Plavni, Kamensky, Stepnoy (not to be confused with the settlements of the same name in the Ugledar and Donetsk directions), Novodanilovka, Malaya Tokmachka, Yegorovka, Gulyaipole, Malinovka and Poltavka. The Ukrainian army hit Zherebyanka, Nesteryanka, Kopany, Novoprokopovka and Novopokrovka.

In the Ugledarsky section of the RF Armed Forces, after shelling, they carried out a counterattack on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Urozhayne. Ukrainian units are under attack in Novodarovka, Staromayorsky, Blagodatny, Zolotoy Niva, Prechistovka, Ugledar and Vodyany (not to be confused with the settlement of the same name northwest of Donetsk). Ukrainian artillery worked on Sheltered, Cherished Desire, Staromlynovka and Novodonetsk.

In the Bakhmut direction, after the powerful work of artillery and the Russian Aerospace Forces, the RF Armed Forces counterattacked near Kleshcheevka. The Armed Forces of Ukraine held their positions at the heights. Also, Russian troops tried to advance from Berkhovka. Artillery of the RF Armed Forces fired on Ukrainian units in Belaya Gora, Chasovoy Yar, Bogdanovka, Novomarkovo, Fedorovka, Rozdolovka, Vesel (a settlement north-west of Soledar), Sporny and Verkhnekamensky. The Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked Kurdyumovka, Andreevka, Kleshcheevka, Bakhmut and Berkhovka.

In the Lugansk direction, Ukrainian troops managed to slightly push the RF Armed Forces in the Serebryansky forest area near Dibrova. Novoselovsky has a similar situation. Russian troops fired on the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Belogorovka, Terny, Nevsky, Berestovo, Kotlyarovka, Kislovka, Kupyansk, Kucherovka and Petropavlovka.
