The Marines won't say it out loud, but everyone knows that Cpl. Chesty got promoted to sergeant this summer not for being a good Marine, but for his in-your-muzzle confrontation with the top dog in the Pentagon. Congrats to the promotee.

Drats, I wanted this moved after the "Bow to Nobody" article in Politix, but the drop-down didn't have it as an option. Apologies and an an appeal for help to the mods.

There you are, Ptah dear. As you can see the other article is actually on P.6: Seedy Politicians, so now yours is rhetorically effective if not positionally accurate. Enjoy!

Wow, really? There goes half your audience, Ellen, as if it was all that big of an audience in the first place. Then there was Jean Smart the other day saying she could never forgive Republicans for all the evil things they do. That's alright, Jean, I forgive you for your lack of tolerance and for further polarizing this country. There was a time when you were cute. Ellen too. But I guess the gigs are getting fewer and farther apart these days, huh? Seems to me I can remember a time when I could go to the movies or watch TV without having to worry about how the producers, directors and actors feel about me because of the way I vote. Not so much anymore. But then, who wants to watch the crap they put out these days anyway? Guess I'll read a book.

Better a 20% tax on the gross of the Entertainment industry whose members believe the rest of us should pay our fair share. It's for the children! ...to alleviate the debt burden placed upon them by adding trillions to the debt for the last four years.

Her views are rather sadistic lately. If you look at Barkin's photos, she appears angry in half of them and a little drunk in some of the others. Barkin is just another Hollywood "victim" poster child of, what ever it is the Dems want everyone to feel victimized by in life.

Frank G, I watched the commercial for that once during the Olympics. Apparently it has one main character/protaganist and a half dozen funny-face one-liner deliverances. Calling it an interesting show would be like saying how interesting it is the KC Chiefs decided to focus on kick returns during pre-season.
See, I look at its path and see drought relief for farmers, a re-filling of the Mississippi, and habitat refreshing, counting on that the good people of the Gulf Coast know to respect a storm.
All I can say is, other than the irony of such hubristics to not believe in an all-powerful being praying hard to an all-powerful being to smite People of God by prayers of heretics simply becuase they can read a script and hire an accountant, is that all those bent on the vengeful gaia swifting a magic storm into Tampa believing the storm trackers is "good enough for government work".

I have a list of actors who's movies I will not go see. Ellen is on it. I can't stop her or the others from running their mouths with hate, like she does, as well as Cher, Susan saradon etall. What I can do is not spend a nickel on anything they support or movies they are in. They bring hate, therefore they are not allowed in my house, on my tv, and I refuse to see a movie they are in. So far keeping haters out of my life has set great example for my kids.

I still have my TV because I like to watch Food Network and "Through the Wormhole". Everything else is garbage.

Now, you see, Deacon Blues, that's the problem I have. I liked Through the Wormhole too. But then there is this from Morgan Freeman:
"The tea partiers who are controlling the Republican Party ... their stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term. What underlines that? Screw the country. ... We're going to do whatever we can to get this black man out of here. It is a racist thing."
He's calling me a racist. I'm not a racist. How can I watch Through the Wormhole after that? If you understand that Barack Obama's policies are socialist and you're OK with that it's your right. But don't call me a racist.

Some in Hollywood are getting more and more unhinged as we get closer to the election. If Romney wins the Presidency we are probably going to see a lot of left coasters making appointments with their shrinks. Maybe they will even follow through on their threats to leave the country instead of just talking about it.

Unfortunately, I think the amount of vile hate they spewed at George Bush will be nothing compared to the complete unhinging they will have toward Romney over the dethroning of their light worker. I predict their already violent rhetoric will descend into real violence.

Broadhead6, I don't think so. I'd say the schism is nigh upon us. They may get to witness the storm, but I'm fairly certain we'll be the ones bearing the brunt. Depends on your grandkids ages though.

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
