-Short Attention Span Theater-
Rebuffed Thai cuts off his own penis
A migrant worker from Myanmar cut off his penis on Friday after drinking himself into a rage when his wife refused him sex, Thai police said. Po "Shortie" Dong, 29, a dock worker at the Thai port of Samut Prakan, attempted intercourse with his wife, Kate, on Thursday night.
"Don't be bringin' that thing around me when yer all liquored up!"
When she refused he stayed up all night drinking whiskey and made another attempt on Friday, Samut Prakan Police Major Narong Simsawat said. When this attempt at intimacy also was rebuffed, Po Dong flew into a rage and severed his penis with a pair of scissors. He then cut the severed member into several pieces and stabbed himself in the stomach while screaming abuse at his wife. He was reported in serious but stable condition on Friday afternoon.
Now you know that it had to sting,
But no curses did our Po Dong sing,
He was quite relaxed
When his manhood got axed,
Guess it wasn't that big of a thing!
Sounds like he was in pretty serious condition before he did the thing with the scissors...

Home Front: Culture Wars
Beavers Overrun Massachusetts, Cause/Effect Suspected
State officials have confirmed what many people who live near streams and other bodies of water throughout Massachusetts have known for some time: There has been an explosion of the beaver population. Beaver dams can flood bodies of water, in turn contaminating septic systems and drinking wells, as well as flooding roads and peoples yards.
Heh, heh, heh. They're real cute little animals, until your property goes under water.
Arnie Rill, 80, a lifelong resident of Lunenburg who said he has been trapping beavers since he was 10 years old, told the Sentinel and Enterprise newspaper of Fitchburg, "There are more beavers now than I've ever seen in my life."
I grew up around this neck of the woods and he's right, they're damming every trickle of water they can find.
According to Chrissy Henner, a furbearer biologist for the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, the beaver population has tripled since state legislation first prohibited the use of numerous animal traps in 1996. Many trappers quit the business after the law was passed, causing the beaver population to increase dramatically, wildlife officials said. The law still allows trappers to use box traps and cage traps that simply trap the animal without directly hurting it, but are more complex and expensive than those banned, such as the conibear and leghold traps.
Then there is the problem of what to do with them after you catch 'em alive.

#8  The problem is not the number of beavers. The problem is their business. Madate that all beavers must take ritalin. If that doesn't work, get them Tivo amd encourage them to take up golf. You could also try to unionize them so that the less buzy beavers would imtimidate the overly productive ones.
