Amazon founder Jeff Bezos to move to Miami from Seattle
[GEO.TV] Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has announced to move to Miami from Seattle citing personal reasons and mentioning his desire to be closer to his parents and Blue Origin's Cape Canaveral operations.
It has nothing to do with the deterioration of Seattle’s quality of life following the Progressive project to defund the police and elect Soros district attorneys. Really.
In an Instagram post, the billionaire expressed his attachment to Seattle, where he founded Amazon in his garage in 1994 and grew it into a global retail giant.

The post also featured a video of Bezos in Amazon's first office in Seattle, reflecting on the company's journey.

He captioned the post: "Seattle has been my home since 1994 when I started Amazon out of my garage. That’s my dad behind the camera in this video, touring Amazon’s first "office." My parents have always been my biggest supporters.

They recently moved back to Miami, the place we lived when I was younger (Miami Palmetto High class of ’82 — GO Panthers!) I want to be close to my parents, and Lauren and I love Miami. Also, Blue Origin’s operations are increasingly shifting to Cape Canaveral. For all that, I’m planning to return to Miami, leaving the Pacific Northwest.

I’ve lived in Seattle longer than I’ve lived anywhere else and have so many amazing memories here. As exciting as the move is, it’s an emotional decision for me. Seattle, you will always have a piece of my heart."

Bezos's private space company, Blue Origin, has been shifting its operations to Cape Canaveral, Florida, making proximity a key factor for his relocation.

Amazon's rapid expansion in Seattle significantly transformed the city's landscape, turning it into a tech hub with highly paid tech workers, upscale dining options, and soaring rents.

Bezos's move is expected to have both personal and business implications as he divides his time between Miami and Blue Origin's activities.

#1 Only if you stop funding the far left shit that turned Seattle into a hellhole. Otherwise you can fuck right off back to your utopia.

#2 ...There's another article out there that points out that when Washington state passed its rich peoples' tax, they were expecting $3B and change - and Bezos would have been coughing up between twenty and forty-five percent of that.

I don't really have any hope that the politicians have enough self-awareness to admit what happened, but it will be fun to watch them twist in the wind.

#3 Comments in Seattle Times following this announcement were hilarious; predictably about paying no taxes, running away from societal responsibilities, etc. what hasn’t been said, as the lovely Mrs. Ret. pointed out over dinner, are the forthcoming secondary and tertiary effects: who doesn’t think relocation offers have been or will be made to the Amazon top dogs? And gradually the center of operations will also move south? One only needs to look at Boeing; only manufacturing, or more accurately, assembling remains; all other executive functions are gone as well as selling off of real estate. Their footprint in WA state has shrunk quite a bit, and I suspect that as soon as the Navy P-8 build is complete, all 737 production will shift to Everett and the Renton waterfront property also sold.
Sorry about the divert, but I think Amazon will be a sequel to this.

#4 /\ Gotta love a very good string of predictive analysis (PA) based on money trails. No 'Sea Story' here.

#5 Yes, after the 1st and 2nd Amendments are wiped out, "freedom of movement" will be the next progressive target.

#7 How are we coming with those EV charging stations ?

Are you discussing the stations that actually work or just the overall aggregate of installations?

#10 Yeah, well, Washington just passed a 7% capital gains tax and was threatening a 1% wealth tax. Bezos took the hint.
