'Snapped'
Roid Rage?
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] This is the gut-wrenching moment an LA sheriff's deputy punches a pleading mom in the face as she pleads with police not to take her three-week-old baby.
The video, captured with a body camera in Palmdale, Los Angeles, in July 2022, shows up to five police officers surrounding the mom as she refuses to give them her baby boy.
In the footage, she can be heard saying 'You're all gonna have to shoot me dead before you take my baby.' A scuffle then ensues as the woman starts screaming 'Don't take my baby! My baby's very weak, you'll hurt him!'
Heartbreaking. But wait, there’s more! | Sheriff Robert Luna, a former Long Beach police chief, has vowed to overhaul the nation´s largest sheriff´s department since taking it over in December after defeating incumbent Alex Villanueva.
During the July 2022 encounter, deputies stopped a car driving without headlights at night, smelled alcohol, and saw three babies who weren't in car seats and were being held in their mother's arms, Luna said.
The male driver was arrested on suspicion of driving on a suspended license, driving under the influence of alcohol and child endangerment.
Four women in the car were held on suspicion of child endangerment. During their arrests, a deputy punched one woman twice in the face after she refused to let go of her child, Luna said.
