#4 And with a scarcity of girl children (for some archaic Chinese reason), those girls can wait before getting married, get and hold a good career, pick and choose their suitors, and select the consistently highest earner (looks and temperament aren't always as important in Asia as they are in the west).

After all that, why have kids?
