The term cisgender was coined in 1994 and entered into dictionaries starting in 2015 as a result of changes in social discourse about gender. The term has been and continues to be controversial and subject to critique.

#9 My younger brother bought the Queen album Fat Bottom Girls and tacked up the enclosed poster in his closet. My mother found it and the album was taken back to the store. I didn’t care for that particular poster anyway. Hopefully, there will be no trans reshoot of that art piece.
