#1 Another rain day.
Just about finished the spring planting of usuals.

Trying for a crop of peanuts as a nitrogen fixing protein source this year. Thought I'd brew and distill a batch. Got a nice collection of wild sage from last fall. Don't know that drinking sage flavored peanut spirits will catch on.

Started cutting the grass yesterday.
Rotation takes about a week, one sector a day.
Seeded clippings go to the horses, other to flower beds as mulch.

#2 Central MN - not much precip but what there was seemed to be ice and hail, backed by 35-40mph wind - more fallen branches last night than the rest of the winter.

#3 Snowbird and Alta in Utah received over 60" from this storm. Reports not complete in WY but Casper has apparently had its biggest snowfall ever.

#5 I went to Utah Sunday night. Originally I was going to Snowbird but the road up the canyon closed at 10:00pm, just after my flight landed (It is still closed). Expecting this, thanks to a local with good info, I diverted to Park City. Two days of great skiing. Very very fortunate to have the financial and physical ability to do it. Powder up to my thighs at times. And it was whiteout conditions at the airport as I was leaving last night. Not sure where spring is hiding, but it was a ton of fun. I shall be on an Advil-rich diet for the next few days.

🏆Record for daily low maximum temperature set yesterday for the SLC Airport: 33F.

The last time we had a maximum temperature of <=33F in April was 4/9/1922. That's 101 years ago!
