#4 Their 'woke' indoctrination is basically anti-American. So, why try defending it. They missed some fundamentals here. Now if you understand the Left, they've always accused our servicemembers as being just mercenaries. From that you get the disconnect and the head scratching why their program isn't working. Watch standards devolve (just like in education). One of those who served in the transition from draft to volunteer army, you're going to bring back the unmotivated, druggies, criminals, social misfits that command will spend 80% of its time dealing with rather than training. Better to have 6 men in a 10 squad who are trained and motivated than fill it in with the destructive distractions that destroy good morale and discipline.

The Civil War draft obliterated the readiness of solid units like The Iron Brigade and The Irish Brigade. I don’t even want to fathom what type of draftees our current degraded society might poop out. Certainly wouldn’t want woke people on my left and right even in peacetime operations.
