#1 More Baldwin projection.

#2 Lots of cops have worked as consultants on film shoots (oops, I didn't mean for a pun there) usually for the purpose of making sure police procedure details are accurate. Most of them are detectives. Many of them may have never fired their weapon anywhere but on the PC range at qualifying time (many of them hate having to qualify to keep their jobs) How many of them do you think want to be responsible for people like Alec Baldwin handling a gun?

#3 Cut out the middleman. Have the police monitor Baldwin. While he does 7-10.

#4 Never entered his mind to have a NRA qualified instructor on the job? /rhet question.

#5 What’s next; hiring a farmer as barn door security once it has been determined the horses are missing?

#6 Several gun blogs have pointed out that NRA's Eddie Eagle program to teach school kids gun safety could have given Alec the knowledge he needed to avoid this catastrophe. Of course, the "education mafia" wants nothing to do with gun safety being taught in "their schools."

#7 I hear recently-fired anti-gun grandstander (former Miami police chief) Art Acevedo is looking for work...

#8 How would the armorer feel about having someone carrying live rounds on the set?

#9 I suggest strip serches for everyone to get on the set. Looking for guns, knives, and live bullets.

#10 Only police can ever be trusted with guns! Oh, also defund the police as they are abusive monsters.

#11 Isn't Baldwin's suggestion offence to the many black actors who would now be placed in an unsafe position on set?

#13 You mean...like...an armorer, but not trained and qualified in the use of such movie equipment and procedures? Because magic badge?

Interesting glimpse into Baldwin and the elite mindset, no? Putting on the costume automatically gives that person all the necessary skills hollywood's stereotypes require of said costume. Put a frock on the officer and the fatal bullet would have been shot out of the sky, saving the day. Blast the AC/DC and slo-mo walk out.

What a bunch of tards.

#15 Why is he being allowed to speak publicly at all?
Why has he not been indicted?

#16 Get the attention off of him and onto a leftist bugbear.

Has a good chance of working. The media will smell the air and know which way to take this.

#17 Why has he not been indicted?

It happened in New Mexico, same place as the Epstein estate. Next question.

#18 Wait - he was the producer. Wasn't it *his* job, thru his armorer, to insure the weapons were kept safe?

#19

If any one knows he owns a Firearm they should call the Police so they can raided his houses to see how many other irearm he might have?

NOTE:
As we know when a person points and aims a firearm at a person, pulls the trigger and kills a person without intending to do so, that is called Negligent Homicide.

At a minimum, if convicted of negligent homicide in New Mexico, a person must be charged with a 4th degree felony (or more), spend up to 18 months in jail (or More) and fined up to $5,000 in penalties and fees.

The person can also be held liable in civil court for restitution by the victim's family.

#20 This just seems like a legal deflection. Its not that he hired an inexpensive, inexperienced armoror, its that the armoror was not a police officer.

#21 BLUF: I know it is fun to hate on Alex Baldwin, but who in their right mind would give him a loaded weapon and expect him to handle it responsibly?

At the risk of becoming the g(r)om of Alex Baldwin shooting threads, this happened on a movie set. A movie production is a fantasy factory. Factories can be dangerous if you are not careful.

Every year, movies involving guns get made and no one gets hurt or dead*. Actors point guns at each other and pull the trigger and no one dies... as long as everyone does their job. The critical point is that a live round ended up in what was supposed to be a movie prop. This is the armorer's area of responsibility. Somebody from that side of the production house fucked up and a woman died as a consequence.

* Hollywood takes pains to avoid people dying on set because it drives up insurances costs and production stops until the union ambulance crew can remove the body. Union shop, man. Can't violate the work rules!

He needs a visit from R. Lee Ermey.

#23 This is not a job for police. Closest thing would be the ATF but just follow Gun Safety 101.
