#1 instructed teachers to create two sets of curriculum...

That might be difficult for most of the faculty as 'Original Thought' has been discouraged in Education for decades, and they were probably never taught how to perform that.

#3 ...Note that there's nothing about Dr Fallert being reassigned/suspended/fired. The only thing RSD is sorry for is that she got caught.

#7 Went to school during segregation until 8th grade when desegregation was implemented. Black students were way behind. To cover the lack of learning up black schools faked a lot of things per black student discussions with their new white teachers.

#15 FALLERT, 41, lives at 3527 Gracie Waggoner Road. She and her husband, Derrick, have two children. She is the coordinator of literacy and speech for grades 6-12 for the RockwoodSchool District. She received a bachelor’s degree in communication management and public relations from MissouriStateUniversity in 1998, a master’s degree in education and classroom teaching from MissouriBaptistUniversity in 2005 and is pursing a doctorate degree in education and teacher leadership at MaryvilleUniversity.

She is a member and teaches children’s church at GoodNewsCommunityChurch, volunteers with the Boy Scouts and has been an ACT tutor. She is a member of the National Council Teachers of English, International Literacy Association and Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.

She taught high school English in the district from 2010-2017 before taking her current job with Rockwood.

What are the biggest problems facing the school district and how would you address them?

Fallert: Technology and innovation have changed the world, and our schools need to continually make adjustments to ensure students are prepared. These changes need to be research and curricular-based so the district is being good stewards of tax dollars. The district needs to sustain an innovative and secure environment that fosters student growth and attracts and retains top teachers. My passion for education and professional career keep me abreast of research-based educational practices.

Why should voters elect you to this position? List your goals, if elected.

Fallert: My professional experience of 18 years in public education teaching English, working on professional development and writing curriculum and assessments have given me a unique advantage to serve on the board. I will earn a doctorate in education next month from MaryvilleUniversity, where I have been schooled in educational areas of finance, law, coaching and ethics. As the mother of 8-year-old twin boys, I plan to use my professional knowledge and passion for education to keep the community focused on our most prized possessions and their academic futures.
