HUMMMM ! I noted the AVOIDANCE of pointing out the Cultures and typically practiced Religions in those areas that still engage in this Barbaric Dark Ages Female Genital Mutilation.

BTW: What US Political Party has supported this by their Multiculturalism agenda and at the same time claimed being the Champions of Women Rights?

I would've guessed they would water it down with a euphemism like Modification, instead.

And the fact that we have to even pass laws against this is just insane. But our politicians insist on importing barbarians

#4 fwiw, Sheila Lee Jackson (D-TX) introduced this back in March 2020. It was passed by voice vote in Sept 2020 before it was sent to the Senate.
