Note that the donations go up until 2014. An awful lot of reluctant Trump voters in 2016 were active Democrats up until that point, including Donald Trump himself. Even more fervent Trump voters in 2020 were reluctant Trump voters in 2016 or even regretted having voted Democrat last time.

I put Mr. Wood in the converted to pro-Trump camp, woth all the fervour that converts bring to their new faith.
