#1 Is this going to lead to a better Oregon? I kind of doubt it.

#2 I kind of doubt it. None regrets what is unremembered.

#3 Well they decriminalized vagrancy, crime and pestilence earlier.

With their newly de-funded law enforcement, the LEO's will have more time to sit in SJW therapy sessions as they won't have to go after the druggies.

#4 Legal or illegal, they still have to find the $$$ to buy them. You think they'll be clean, honest, dependable employees? /rhet question

#10 The libertarian in me thinks that for small amounts it doesn't make sense to throw addicts into a jail. Certainly doesn't help them with their problems and now they are close to hardened criminals that does who knows what with them.

However, it doesn't solve anything either if there is no treatment plan attached.

#11 Fine but from now on, you O/D, nature takes it course. From my perspective, an O/D is simply a suicide. They murdered themselves, so they should pay the penalty.

#13 This was the right move. Prohibition hasn't put a dent in drug use, but it has militarized the police, filled the jails and prevented giving needed medical treatment to addicts.

#14 Good for Oregon. My body, my rules. It's also my responsibility. If you OD out there or buy bad sh!t, that's on you.

#15 The libertarian in me says everyone has the right to go to hell in their own way. The Sicilian redneck in me says "Fine, but keep your crazy to yourself or it's dirt nap time."

#21 mercutio has a point. I'm not sure I'd go the dirt nap route but when the druggies steal to support their habit, as they most certainly will, lock them up for a good long time. But I have to wonder how much of a problem this would be if we would only secure the border.
