#2 14th Amendment -

Section 3.

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

#4 In November Wheeler is up for re-election and is running against a woman who, as near as I can tell, is further to the left than Wheeler. So he's got to say this stuff. But I suspect he would be delighted to see a Marine rifle company, uh, deal with the "protesters." No more protests, and he could blame Trump all day long.

#7 ...SCOTUS already has set a precedent on that one. Kansas had a tax on military retirements but exempted their state employees' pension from the tax. SCOTUS said that was a no-no.

#8 Nike HQ isn't that easy to get to. There is a pretty high berm all the way around and the only entrance has a heavy gate. I was there in 1990.
