#2 UAW should look into the mirror when it wonders why automobile manufacturing jobs went overseas.

#4 I'd bet a vast majority of UAW members would vote, if able, for AOC in a heartbeat.

#6 If only the G-men would execute raids on the Clinton Foundation. Oh, wait, the G-men are part of the problem. Never mind.

#8 Also remember - there are a number of unions where the leadership / officers are left-wing and the membership is largely conservative. I base that off my extensive experience with a Mass. state workers union and my roommate's membership in the local police union, so I don't see large swaths of the UAW (or any other union) voting blindly for Democrats, especially this time around.

Also, on the link above - when ARRA came down in 2009 and untold millions went out to create 'shovel-ready jobs', I saw the membership in that union increase from about 3,150 to 3,400 or so. If anyone wants to try and tell me I'm all wet, I can show them two spreadsheets to this effect. That's because I did the semi-annual audits for about six years, pretty much by myself.

#9 Union members are the classic Reagan Democrats.
Probably where most of the crossover Sanders-to-Trump 2016 voters came from.

#10 Don't those conservative rank and file union members ever get to vote on their union leadership?

#11 Yes, good ole Government Motors which builds 7 out of 10 cars in China.

#12 Don't those conservative rank and file union members ever get to vote on their union leadership?

Sure they do - and many of their votes are discarded so the "correct" candidates win. You don't believe the "Leadership" would allow an honest vote that would oust them from their cushy jobs, do you?
