#3 Looks like good evidence they were working to get a strain with a long no-symptom incubation period to develop tests and a vaccine (not that we would actually, y’know, TRUST anything coming from China). Bioweapons? Given chinese ‘behavior in the past, not at all ruled out.

the next article after this one points out the real cause of this: commie totalitarian built in incompetence. I regard this as equivalent in causation to Chernobyl. They operate in a way that invites things to break, and when they do (cue Murphy), they don’t put the people that can fix them in authority to fix them. They just can’t bear to release control.

#4 it will take several years to examine the DNA sequencing of various strains of this virus

Now some 15+ years after the onset of the SARS virus there has been enough sequencing to have reasonable certainty that it came from bats. DNA sequencing is better than it used to be but we are still at least a year away from getting reasonable certainty of the origin of this new virus.

It is quite plausible that the Wuhan market is the source as there are a lot of live animals in close proximity and sanitary conditions that leave a lot of repositories for viruses.
