They are momentarily more secure when Taliban, et al don’t come after them with intent for daring to be connected to the outside world just when the Taliban, et al, want to be free to prey on the locals without having to worry about the police, the army, or Allah forbid, the Afghan Special Forces knowing that they need to take action.
