#8 This is San Francisco's natural state. People have gotten spoiled since the Dot Boom. When I lived there in the 80's much of the city was *brutally* nasty. I remember stepping over a corpse to get through a door in a SOMA alley. Got drunk, spent the night there, and when I came out the next morning the corpse was still there, rotting away.

That's your City By The Bay.
