#4 Can you say that slavery in America is a factual, historical event? The last surviving slaves and thus witness to the acts were and are white American soldiers captured with the surrender of the Philippines in 1942, part of an army that was segregated at the time. They were sent to Japanese factories as slave laborers.

While a lot of them have passed on, I suspect the GIs that liberated the camps would be happy to debate that proposition with him. You are entitled to your own opinions and beliefs, but not your own facts.

#9 Being one of the first units into Dachau, and what he saw, caused my Dad PTSD nightmares for years.

He never talked about it when awake and cried out while asleep.

It was very real for him.
