#2 How about shutting down the phone lines while you are at it.

#3 People in the USA can go without wooden earrings and jute bags. But people in India will still want Harleys.

This is posturing really, to show China some solidarity maybe. We even allowed Huawei to build their plant recently. A lot of fireworx and curry with chopsticks. It won't do Modi any good to rub Trump the wrong way right now, even if he's on a roll.

#4 Leftist media source though. Always bashing Trump and projecting itself as nationalist. Troublemakers.

#5 A lot of the manufacturing businesses leaving China could go to India, resulting in the India Miracle, or not, depending on tariff levels. Bad time to get into a tariff war with the USA.

#6 Leftist media source though.

Compounded by Russia Today trying to stir up trouble. Also, I note all the indefinite verbiage — preparing, may be implemented, threatening, postponed, not officially announced, possible introduction — and all the anonymous government officials.

I also note, neither profoundly nor originally, that there are two ways to reduce trade deficits: increase American exports to the country or decrease American imports from it. Either way will hurt India more than it does the U.S.

#7 Also, I note all the indefinite verbiage

An important component of way too many news stories lately. No more "Dog Bites Man". Now it's all "According to Experts, Man May Bite Dog by 2050".
Once you notice it, it's everywhere.
