As for the article itself, it really should have been on Page 4. We bitch when the media publishes opinion as news. Keep it in mind when stuff like this comes up.

#7 Pappy's got the politics right. I know Toni Atkins. Worked with her when she was a City Council Aide on my current project (I was a Project Manager way back then). She's a l3sbian Democrat, but above this stupid shit - or at least I thought so.

#8 The bill wasn't going to go anywhere. It hadn't been fully developed. The initial funding proposal was a no-go, and the second one was DOA after the Democrats got the gasoline tax hike through. So it was a low-risk move with her voters, that gave her some street-cred with the CA Democrat establishment.
