#2 What I've wondered is, does the owner of an electric vehicle bear the down the line costs of rehab/disposal. There's a whole pile of hazardous waste in one (batteries) and it's not something you can do with parts from AutoZone.

#3 They need to set up a road that goes from the coast of Hawaii (the big island) directly into the volcano. Set the vehicles up to drive by remote control and then sell the right to control their jump into the lava to the highest bidders. Sell the best ones on DVD or streaming and it'll pay for itself. No worries about toxic batteries (at least I don't think).
