#7 Re #1: as a former longtime (15 yrs.) bilingual Special Ed. teacher I understand where you are coming from. Previous career was teaching History at 3 universities. Burned out from fighting the 'culture wars' when I realized that words such as 'western civilization' 'melting pot', and the university 'N' word (Zionism)

could never lead to tenure, only bewildered looks and scorn. I did, however, stay true to my traditional beliefs. In Schiller's words: "Against stupidity, the gods themselves struggle in vain."
