They've been trying a political solution for four years.

When I was there you had the Government and then you had the militias that were doing as they damned well pleased and then you had Benghazi and Derna which every Moamar, Ahmed, and Ali in Libya knew was a festering fever swamp of jihadists.

Everyone wondered why the US kinda bombed the crap out of Quadaffi and then just let it drop.
