#1 ..maybe, but reading, writing, 'rithmatic are shoved out of the time allotted. Elocution went out a long time ago.

#2 Governor, how are you going to work gay history into math, physics, English, and chemistry? Are the Revolutionary War and Civil War now going to become a struggle for gay rights? Aren't there some important things to address such as your state economy being in the dumper and getting worse all the time? What about corruption in state government?

#3 Socialists have long known that their greatest enemy is history of all kinds, so until they have destroyed it, or corrupted it so much that it is illegible, they cannot destroy culture, nationality, and civilization itself, to bring forth their fantasy parallel to the Garden of Eden called The State of Nature.

The truly creepy part of socialism is how those ignorant and idealistic fools manage to reach approximately the same Luddite conclusions over time, without any great binding document to explain it all to them.

Which brings up my toxoplasmosis theory.

#4 make sure to include the explicit descriptions (and consequences) of anonymous sex with ten-twenty partners in a single night in the gay bathhouse era. Something to be proud about.

#5 My gut instinct is they want the right to make a fuss and get it on a ballot so they can ensure turnout in the next election. Every important election must have a gay or abortion issue on the ballot to guarantee turnout.

#6 OK, folks, I'm gonna say it one more time: We do not need this state legislature and because of mischief making like this it should be abolished. Moonbeam signed the bill but it was concocted in the same state legislature that cannot produce a balanced budget. A measure like this would not have a snowball's chance in hell if it went before the people of this state as a ballot proposition.

I hang my head in shame.

#7 All famous dead people were probably gay. Unless they did "bad things" like Hitler or Stalin. Since you can't ask them, just ask a gay activist and they'll be happy to tell you all about it.

#9 JohnQC didn't ya hear, chemistry is racist. Bobby, not too long ago there was some push which Abe was the gayist gay to gay up recent history.

Some screwball argued that if he had heard Alexandar the Great was gay, he would have had a happier childhood. Last prog I hear, AtG was an imperialist warmongering murderer; so I guess Mao was gay as well.

Personally, I think the alleged homosexuality of Alexander was the result of some ancient fan-fiction being mistaken as history. Heck, if it happens with Kirk and Spock, it could happen with Alexander...

#12 Here's how you can work homosexuality into math:
One man marries another man. How many children can they produce?
Answer: none.

Actually, that wouldn't be allowed, because the law also prohibits disparaging gays in any way.
Also, having no children would probably be seen as a good thing.

#13 I wouldn't get too upset. Like abortion, it's a self curing problem.

#14 How to tell the Pole-r from the Pol- ee or the Poke -r from the Pok --ee. Seems like that could be a class right there - an important one.

#15 Some screwball argued that if he had heard Alexandar the Great was gay, he would have had a happier childhood.

The ancient Greeks defined things differently. Dear Alexander married a lovely young girl who bore him a son, and if both died or disappeared after Alexander's death, that's nothing to do with the fact that he did his duty as a Greek man. men for love, women for babies, that was the Greek way, and though a mere Macedonian, Alexander was as Greek as it was possible to be.

#16 Demosthenese: "We have wives to give us legitimate children, concubines for daily exercise, and prostitutes for variety." The only educated women were higher class prostitutes, so they could provide entertaining conversation for their customers. Having refused to give their women any chance to be persons in their own right, they had to turn to other men for real conversation. So anybody who wants to look at the ancient Greeks for a model is looking at the most sexist, mysogynistic culture of the time.

#18 Mom, hey that was good. "So anybody who wants to look at the ancient Greeks for a model is looking at the most sexist, mysogynistic culture of the time". You have a way with words. Your entire comment was good, it had a flow to it.

#19 Indeed mom, good quote and follow up.

I've seen this though, by the time the corriculum is present Alexandar will be so flaming that he smote his enemies into ash with a single circular fingersnap.

Perhaps they will have a sexual orientation draft similar to Dave Chapelle's race draft:
"We the homosexual community draft...Molly Pitcher"

"We the heterosexual community can only accept this appointment if the homosexual community also accept the Marquis de Sade."

"Super, thanks for asking"

And it has been my experience that gay, or homosexual, or whatever the kids call it now, couples with lasting relationships eventually settle on a traditional arrangement of duties, or stay single. Not painting all, and mean no offense, just my experience. The best way I found who was what was to be there when the house chores are due, second best is going along shopping.

This is not a mature law, its another stupid effn class where the point is to impress the teacher or fail. How I hated the class formats.
