#5 After watching the dipshits who chase the whalers around, it is possible they lost their nerve and sabotaged the ship themselves.

Also possible, being a ship of fools not sailors, that they simply did something ignominious, like back over their own line.

As for "foreign agents", what the he$$ does Mikael Löfgren think HE is? He is an "agent provocateur" acting on the behalf of a foreign terrorist organization fighting against a legitimate nation. Israel has the legitimate right to sink their boats and leave their crews to drown.

#12 I wonder if the ship was insured? A few weeks ago that Israeli law fare group sent a letter to the major insurance companies, reminding them that breaking a siege is an act of war, not covered by normal insurance policies... And at least one of the companies (a French one, I think, not Lloyds of London) formally cancelled coverage for several of the ships. It strikes me as consistent with their character and the psychology of groups that this bunch would decide to go ahead without confirming their coverage.

All uninformed speculation, admittedly, but amusing to ponder...
