#1 Any genuine cost benefit assessment of illegal immigration has to include the COSTS of illegal aliens. Services, hiospitalization, social services, education, legal system, prison system (in CA somewhere between 12-20% of the jail and prison residents have illegal status) not to mention the costs of border enforcement.
At the end of the day, they COST us much more than they give, not to mentioon the billions they mail south to Mexico, not spend here in our economy.
This is typical leftie BS!

#3 How much does CA's education budget goes to Illegal ALIENS?

And won't the Amnesty dreams of McCain and OBumbles essentially give the illegals their 'contribution' back (or whatever contribution they *claim* to have made). Seems to me this guy is making a case *against* amnesty.

The decline in illegal immigration, plus tighter workplace enforcement, means that contributions from the unauthorized will decrease. But as Goss notes, they remain, because of larger families, a positive contributing factor to Social Security solvency.

Somebody ought to say thank you.

#5 IIRC, Bush set up some sort of deal to pay SS benefits to illegal Mexicans who had moved back to Mexico to retire.
My son used to manage a fast food restaurant where most of the workers were wink-wink "legal". They would claim many dependents on their W-4, so that they had almost no income tax withheld. Then they wouldn't bother to file at the end of the year.
