#4 This smells fishy. It could just be stupid reporting, but, that bit about the "high-powered assault rifle" is bull.

Almost any rifle in a normal hunting caliber would be as "mission capable" e.g. .223, .308, 30-06, etc.

#5 in most reporters lack-of-understanding, any center fire rifle cartridge would qualify as 'high powered' and all assault rifles are to be feared, so adding the 2 terms together is extra-scary...

This part sounds really, well cheesy. However, MS-13 was credited with murdering an informant in Virginia or Maryland a few years back.

Ah for the simpler days when crime was organized and run by the mafia.
