#1 The Bear is the Northern Fleet's main long range naval patrol aircraft. They were prolly just flying the colors.

#4 Bret, the average of US Air Force aircraft is over 23 years, our B-52s are 45 years old, so 30+ year old Bears are nothing to sneeze at. For what it does, the Bear is a good aircraft, the Russian answer to the B-36.
