somewhere above 10M, perhaps as much as 20M, in mainland work in factories that are owned by Taiwan companies

also they have the 2022 Olympics on the Mainland

also power shortages, problems with the roads and belts, problems with real estate

#7 FDR wanted a war against Nazi Germany (and Fascism in general) in Europe. He did not want a 'War in the Pacific', rather he seems to have viewed the Japanese as a lesser power that could be brought to heal by embargoes and threats. Rather a miscalculation on his and the 'diplomats' at the State Department's part...
