#3 Jerusalem Post has a headline item running stating the Lebanese Army will join with Hezballan:

Lebanese Army may join forces with Hizbullah

The Lebanese Minister of Defense warned Israel Thursday that if IDF ground forces are sent into southern Lebanon, Lebanese troops will fight along with the Hizbullah against Israel.

Thus opening full war - brain-dead at birth.

#6 Lebanon has 50,000 troops. Hizbullah has around 7,000 in southern Lebanon, according to estimates from outside agencies. If Lebanon can't defeat Hizbullah and take over security for southern Lebanon with 7 TIMES more men than Hizbullah, then their claims that they are powerless to rid themselves of Hizbullah are laughable. If they don't have the will or courage to fight their own battles, f*ck 'em. Israel has no such hindrances.
