#1 Somewhat old news, B....saw this video last summer (check out the rolling temps at the bottom of the feed... Wonder if the cops have made any progress?

The device must somehow rotate through a series of unlock transmissions simulating the key fob. To do this in 18 secs is pretty impressive..

#2 Not new, except the technology is becoming more available.

I remember one time I clicked my unlock in a parking lot and somebody else's car clicked. I hit the lock again to be neighborly.

I heard a similar story years back with garage door transmissions.

Easy to fix, if you want to fix it. Seems to me that this is close to the bottom of car manufacturer priorities. Might be a nice aftermarket opportunity. Keep the key but change the keyless entry electronics to something more secure. Could even get all a family's car working on the same FOB and still be more secure. Hmmm...

#5 Solution, don't buy cars with keyless entry. That's just asking for trouble.
