Taliban urge Afghans to boycott polls
[DAWN] The Taliban

on Monday directed Afghans to boycott upcoming parliamentary elections and demanded a complete withdrawal of foreign forces as the only solution to end the 17-year-old war as they ramped up attacks in strategic provinces.

The statement from the Taliban coincided with the visit of top US envoy Zalmay Khalilzad, who has been appointed to lead peace efforts with the Taliban.

Khalilzad met President Ashraf Ghani

Khalilzad, an Afghan-born former US ambassador to Afghanistan and Iraq, joined the US State Department team in September.

Role in Qaeda operatives’ release returns to haunt Qatar Attorney General
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
’s Attorney General Ali bin Mohsen bin Fetais al-Marri continues to make headlines.

After reports of his financial corruption and accounts at the National Bank of Kuwait were exposed, his close relationship with two al-Qaeda leaders has returned to haunt him.

General Ali al-Marri managed to get them released from US prisons and ensured freedom of movement for them going against what was recommended in treaties.

The recent attention prompted by his financial scandals made the media leading to curiosity, which has brought to the fore many neglected stories such as this Washington Post article published in 2007.

This document revealed the Attorney General’s ties with his relative, Ali Saleh Kahla al-Marri, also known as Abdul Rahman al-Qatari.

Saleh al-Marri is not any ordinary mortal. He was locked away
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
in December 2001 in the United States following the terrorist hunt after 9/11.

He admitted to being a very important member of al-Qaeda and that he had planned new attacks, including using chemical weapons.

In his personal computer, federal agents found records called "Jihad Arena or Jihad Stadium" containing information on hydrogen cyanide. During his arrest, more than 1,000 fake credit card numbers and forged identity documents were seized.

Before coming to the United States, Saleh al-Marri worked for more than 10 years as a senior officer at Qatar Islamic Bank and as a senior accountant for the Qatari government.

In addition, an investigation by the US authorities proved that Saleh had been in contact with Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the criminal mastermind of the September 11 attacks. He was finally released in 2015 after 13 years in detention.

RELATIVE CONNECTION
Here comes the role of Qatar’s Attorney General Ali bin Mohsen bin Fetais al-Marri. In fact, the decision to release a relative was not an American decision, but it took place after behind the scenes diplomatic action and after lengthy negotiations conducted by a "close friend" of the Attorney General.

According to reports in the American media, Bin Fetais used all his contacts so that his relative can be released. As a last resort, thanks to this assistance, a prominent al-Qaeda member was exchanged against US citizens (a couple) who were arbitrarily detained in Doha. What justified such an exchange isn’t yet known?

Equally surprising is the fact that when he arrived in Doha, in January 2015, Saleh al-Marri received a "hero’s welcome" by the Qatari authorities. He even received a phone call from the Qatari prime minister.

Former Qatari anchor and current board member of al-Jazeera, Elham Badr, congratulated Saleh al-Marri on Twitter on the return of al-Qaeda member.

The Attorney-General also played an active role in the release of Jarallah Saleh Mohammed Kahla al-Marri in 2008.

He is the younger brother of Saleh al-Yazid, who was arrested at Guantanamo after being caught at an al-Qaeda training camp in Afghanistan.

The Attorney-General succeeded in deporting him to Qatar on the condition that Jarallah does not leave Qatar forever. However,
there's no worse danger than telling a mother her baby is ugly...
in violation of this agreement with the United States, Jarallah traveled and the Qataris did not inform their American counterparts.

According to a confidential memo from the US ambassador in Doha, unveiled by WikiLeaks, there was US resentment over Qatari non-compliance with the agreements reached regarding the conditions related to the release of Jarallah.

In the confidential memo, one official was identified as Qatar’s Attorney-General Ali bin Fattis al-Marri.

Scotland Yard deputy commissioner tells inquest he locked himself in a car as he watched Westminster terrorist stab colleague
[TELEGRAPH.CO.UK] he acting Metropolitan Police commissioner locked himself in his car as he watched terrorist Khalid Masood kill one of his colleagues in Westminster because he had "no protective equipment and no radio," he has told an inquest.

Sir Craig Mackey, now deputy commissioner of Scotland Yard, said that despite witnessing Masood "purposefully" lunge at everyone in his path with a butcher’s knife, he realised that had he got out of his vehicle, he would have been a target.

Instead, he remained in his black saloon car, within the Palace of Westminster, and witnessed Masood, 52, fatally stab Pc Keith Palmer.

Bulgarian jailed for threatening attacks in Pakistan over Czech woman's arrest
[DAWN] A young Bulgarian man was sentenced to 40 months in jail by a Czech court on Tuesday over messages threatening terror attacks in Pakistain unless Islamabad freed a woman locked away
Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit!
with heroin in the country earlier this year.

The regional court in Plzen, west of Prague, found 21-year-old Nikolai Simeonov Ivanov guilty of sending the threats by email and text message to a television channel and news website in Pakistain.

The threats demanded the release of a Czech woman he knew, named as Tereza H, who had been arrested in January at Lahore airport.

"If Pakistain does not free within 48 hours Tereza, arrested with nine kilos of heroin, and does not let her take a plane to the Czech Republic, terrorist attacks will take place in Pakistain," said the message, read out in court by the prosecution.

Ivanov, who has lived in Plzen since 2016, was sentenced to 40 months in prison by the court, after admitting that he had sent the messages, adding that he had not realised the consequences of the threats.

"I did not think that anyone would take my messages seriously, especially since I included my telephone number and email address," said Ivanov, whose lawyer had asked for a suspended sentence.

The Plzen court said in its ruling that Ivanov should be expelled from the Czech Republic for eight years after his sentence is served.

Turkey: No trace of Khashoggi after Saudi plane search on day of disappearance
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Ottoman Turkish security forces searched a private Saudi plane on the day that journalist Jamal Khashoggi disappeared, but did not find any trace of him, the Ottoman Turkish Anadolu agency reported on Tuesday.

A security source said that Ottoman Turkish forces then allowed the Saudi plane to take off after they did not find any evidence that Khashoggi was onboard.

The Ottoman Turkish ministry of foreign affairs had stated that Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. has provided all assistance and cooperation in the case of the missing journalist who has disappeared in Istanbul last week.

The Ottoman Turkish ministry’s spokesperson Hami Aksoy said in a statement: "Although consular premises are inviolable according to the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, the receiving state can conduct an examination in these premises with the consent of the head of the diplomatic mission. The Saudi authorities have notified that they are open to cooperation in this regard and that the examination can be conducted in their consular buildings in Istanbul."

Turkey to search Saudi Consulate for missing journalist Jamal Khashoggi
[DAWN] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund....
on Tuesday said it will search the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul as part of an investigation into the disappearance of a missing Saudi contributor to The Washington Post, a week after he vanished during a visit there.

The announcement came as the Post published a surveillance image of Jamal Khashoggi walking into the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul, just before he disappeared.

Ottoman Turkish officials have said they fear the columnist was killed inside the premises.

has called the allegations that it killed 59-year-old Khashoggi "baseless", but has offered no evidence over the past seven days to show that he ever left the building.

Tuesday's statement from the Ottoman Turkish Foreign Ministry's front man Hami Aksoy said that Saudi authorities have notified Ankara that they were "open to cooperation" and would allow the consulate building to be searched.

The ministry did not say when the premises would be searched. Officials in Saudi Arabia did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

n Consulate in Instanbul for Jamal Khashoggi as a newspaper published an image of the journalist walking into the facility just hours before he vanished.

Khashoggi is seen in a surveillance photo published by the Washington Post entering the consulate, where Ottoman Turkish officials believe he was killed earlier this month.

A front man for Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said Saudi officials have relayed to Ankara that they were "open to cooperation" and would allow the consulate to be searched.

But the ministry did not provide a timeline for when that might happen.

The surveillance image, which the newspaper said it received from a "person close to the investigation," includes an Oct. 2 time stamp of Khashoggi, 59, walking to the consulate’s main entrance.

Saudi officials have called claims that Khashoggi was killed in the consulate "baseless" but have yet to release any evidence that the writer left the building, despite repeated requests from Ottoman Turkish officials.

Turkey has not issued any proof to back up its claims.

#1  Plausible hypothesis 1:
The Saudis brutally slaughtered a prominent dissident in a cleverly ostentatious and plausibly deniable way in order to deter any uppity subjects.

Plausible hypothesis 2:
The Turks disappeared a prominent Saudi dissident to create the impression that hypothesis 1 was true.

They did this at the behest of the Iran-Qatar-Muslim Brotherhood-Russia alliance in order to weaken the Saudi backed side in Yemen specifically and to drive a wedge between the West and the Saudis.

Which hypothesis is more likely to be true?

That video date is under the control of rival state actors who can be assumed to prioritize their political agenda over the search for the truth.

They might, at some point, release rival video sequences pretending to show the same place at the same time showing mutually contradictory content.

All that would prove is that at least one party is lying. Unless the forger(s) made glaring technical mistakes it would be impossible to ascertain which if any is genuine.

Religious leaders gather in Karbala to denounce spread of sectarian propaganda
[PRESSTV] Religious leaders from around the world have met in Iraq’s holy city of Karbala to speak out against religious extremism and the spread of sectarian propaganda by the Western media.

Scholars, journalists and politicians attended the Fifth Tarateel Sajjadiya International Festival, organized by Imam Hussain Holy Shrine from October 5 to 7. The festival aimed at providing a platform for hearing anti-extremism voices, Press TV reports.

Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Karbalai, the representative of Iraq’s top Shia holy man Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, was one of the keynote speakers at the conference, which included several plenary sessions.

He talked about the success of Iraqi forces in the fight against the Takfiri
...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed...
ISIS terrorist group and how Iraqis of all sects fought side by side against the terror outfit.

"As the Shia gave blood against ISIS, so did the Sunni," said Sheikh Karbalai, adding, "We have been fighting ISIS since day one. All Iraqis stood together to fight, so we could all achieve victory together."

Not long after ISIS overran Iraq in 2014, Grand Ayatollah Sistani issued a religious decree, calling on the Iraqi people to "defend the country, the honor of its citizens, and its sacred places."

The ruling, known as a fatwa, led to the formation of the pro-government Popular Mobilization Forces, also known by their Arabic name the Hashd al-Sha’abi.

Netanyahu: World must recognize occupied Golan as Israel’s
[PRESSTV] Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the international community should recognize as "Israeli territory" the Golan Heights, a Syrian territory which has been under the regime’s occupation for over five decades.

"Israel on the Golan Heights is a fact that the international community must recognize and as long as it depends on me, the Golan Heights will always remain under Israeli illusory sovereignty," Netanyahu said on Monday during a visit to the occupied territory.

The premier claimed that if Israel withdraws from the occupied Golan, the regime will find itself with Iran and the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah on the "shores of the Kinneret (sea of Galilee)" in the northern part of occupied territories.

Iran and Hezbollah are "trying constantly to establish a force opposite us that would operate against the Golan Heights and the Galilee," he claimed.

Israel is deeply angered by Iran’s military advisory assistance to Syrian armed forces in their operations against the terrorist groups, which have the backing of Tel Aviv and its allies.

Iran’s presence in Syria comes at the request of the government in Damascus.

Hezbollah forces have also been assisting the Syrian government on the ground to clear areas bordering Leb from terrorist groups.

Israel has been on high alert in recent days as Syrian government forces have made significant gains against foreign-backed Death Eaters near the Golan Heights.

Israeli strikes in Syria to continue despite S-300 delivery, Netanyahu says
[PRESSTV] Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he has informed Russian officials that the Tel Aviv will continue to hit target inside Syria, irrespective of Moscow’s decision to deliver advanced S-300 surface-to-air missile systems to the Damascus government.

Speaking at a presser in Jerusalem al-Quds on Tuesday, Netanyahu said he had told Russian Deputy Prime Minister Maxim Akimov that Israel would continue to fight what he charged as Iran’s attempts to deepen its military presence in Syria and transfer weapons to the fighters of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement.

The Israeli prime minister added that he believed that the current dispute between Moscow and Tel Aviv over the recent downing of a Russian Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft off the coast of Syria’s western province of Latakia would be resolved.

"I think that with common sense and goodwill we can come to a solution that will allow the continuation of the good coordination between the Russian and Israeli militaries," Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu said at the weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday that he would meet Russian President Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...
soon to discuss coordination.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iranian Supertanker Offloads Oil at Storage Facility in China Ahead of U.S. Sanctions
Hat tip - gCaptain
A vessel carrying 2 million barrels of Iranian oil discharged the crude into a bonded storage tank at the port of Dalian in northeast China on Monday, according to Refinitiv Eikon data and a shipping agent with knowledge of the matter.

Iran, the third-largest producer in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), is finding fewer takers for its crude ahead of U.S. sanctions on its oil exports that will go into effect on Nov. 4. The country previously held oil in storage at Dalian during the last round of sanctions in 2014 that was later sold to buyers in South Korea and India.

The very large crude carrier Dune, operated by National Iranian Tanker Co, offloaded oil into a bonded storage site at the Xingang section of the port, according to a shipping source based in Dalian, adding this was the first Iranian oil to discharge into bonded storage in nearly four years.

The tanker left the Iranian oil port at Kharg Island on Sept. 12, according to ship-tracking data.

The Xingang area is home to several tank farms including commercial and strategic reserves. China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) and Dalian Port PDA Co Ltd both operate commercial storage in the area, according to information on their company websites.

An investor relations official at Dalian Port declined to comment.

A manager at the bonded crude storage site operated by Dalian Port declined to comment whether Iranian oil were moved to the tanks, calling it the "worst time" to give any comment regarding Iranian crude because of the U.S. sanctions.
I'm not sayin' nothin'.
A person at the CNPC-owned storage site who refused to identify himself when contacted by Reuters said it is "impossible" that the oil is stored there.
Then his lips fell off
A spokesman for CNPC said he had no information on this matter.

An executive with the China office of National Iranian Oil Co (NIOC) declined to comment. NIOC also did not respond to an email request seeking comment if it is storing oil at Dalian.

The shipping source said there is no buyer earmarked for the cargo.

Three other NITC tankers are set to arrive in Dalian in the next week or two, the ship-tracking data shows. Some of those cargoes are also likely to end up in bonded storage as the refineries in the region, controlled by CNPC, are not equipped to process Iranian oil, said three sources at state-run Chinese refiners.

China’s Iranian oil buyers, including state-owned refiner Sinopec and state trader Zhuhai Zhenrong Corp, have shifted their cargoes to vessels owned by NITC since July to keep supplies flowing as the U.S. sanctions have been re-imposed.

Keeping oil in bonded storage gives the shipment owner the option to sell into China or to other buyers in the region.

US, Israel root cause of global insecurity: Iran Parliament speaker
[PRESSTV] Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani says the United States and the Israeli regime are the root cause of growing insecurity in the world.

Larijani made the remarks in an address to the third meeting of the speakers of the Eurasia countries' parliaments in Antalya, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...Qatar's colony in Asia Minor....
, on Tuesday.

He said the ongoing woes in the world are the result of the US unilateralism and called on all countries to boost their unity in the face of illegal and unilateral measures.

"Unilateral measures by powers such as the US in dealing with global issues have created great problems and challenges for the international community," the top Iranian parliamentarian said.

He added that the "selfish, unilateral and illegal" move by the US administration to withdraw from a multilateral nuclear agreement Iran signed with the P5+1 group of countries in 2015 and to re-impose cruel sanctions against the land of the Medes and the Persians showed "alarming signs" of the emergence of the threadbare dialogue of unilateralism in international relations.

US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
announced in May that Washington was pulling out of the nuclear agreement, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which lifted nuclear-related sanctions against Tehran in exchange for restrictions on Tehran's nuclear program. The deal had been signed between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council -- the United States, Britannia, La Belle France, Russia and China -- plus Germany in 2015.

A first round of American sanctions took effect in August, targeting Iran's access to the US dollar, metals trading, coal, industrial software, and auto sector. A second round, forthcoming on November 4, will be targeting Iran’s oil sales and its Central Bank.
