US offers up to $5M reward for leader of DR Congo ADF Militia
[AFRICANEWS] The United States is offering a reward of up to $5 million for information that could lead to the leader of an Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(IS)-affiliated militia in eastern DRC, the embassy said Thursday. American in Kinshasa.

"The United States Department of State's Rewards for Justice (RFJ) program ... offers a reward of up to $5 million for information that may lead to the identification or location of the leader" of the Allied Democratic Forces
...the ADF is one of several murderous Moslem groups in NE Congo. In 2019 the U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions on them for the usual reasons. They don't appear to be affiliated with al-Qaeda or Islamic State, though ISIS claims their work from time to time — they just like killing infidels....
(ADF), the embassy said in a statement.

The ADF are originally mainly Moslem Ugandan rebels, who have been rooting since the mid-1990s in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo
...formerly the Congo Free State, Belgian Congo, Zaire, and who knows what else, not to be confused with the Brazzaville Congo aka Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. DRC gave the world Patrice Lumumba and Joseph Mobutu, followed by years of tedious civil war. Its principle industry seems to be the production of corpses. With a population of about 74 million it has lots of raw material...
where they are accused of having massacred thousands of civilians.

In 2021, attacks on Ugandan soil were also attributed to them and a joint military operation between the Congolese and Ugandan armies was launched to hunt them down in the Congolese provinces of North Kivu and Ituri.

Their leader Musa Baluku, of Ugandan nationality, born in 1975 or 1976 according to the State Department, 2019 made a declaration of allegiance to IS, which now presents the ADF as its branch in Central Africa.

"Under the command of Baluku, this organization continues to kill, maim, rape (...) abduct civilians including children...", underlines the embassy of the United States.

She recalls that in 2021, the State Department designated Baluku as a "Specifically Designated Global Terrorist" and the ADF as a "terrorist organization".

Since its creation in 1984, the American RFJ program has "disbursed more than 250 million dollars for 125 people around the world", she also specifies.

According to media sources, button men following the leader of the Southern Resistance®, Abdel Nasser al-Bawah, "Abu Hammam al-Yafe’i," tightened their control over the vicinity of the port of Aden amid accusations by the pro-coalition government of looting the port’s revenues without paying the salaries of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) recruits.

[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Two citizens were assassinated on Thursday in two separate operations in Hadhramaut province, estern Yemen

Hafiz Tohar a.k.a. Jununi, etc., who was born in Karachi and reared in Saudi Arabia. ARSA may or may not be a false-nose-and-mustache front for Aqa Mul Mujahideen, a minor jihadi group linked to al-Qaeda. At any rate, ARSA has the vocal support of al-Qaeda’s Bangladesh offshoot Ansar al-Islam as well as Hizbut Tahrir, and has been running amok in the Cox’s Bazaar refugee camps...

NIA attaches property of TRF militant in Baramulla
[Daily Excelsior] The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today attached a property belonging to a Pakistain-based krazed killer, Basit Ahmad Reshi, in Baramulla.

According to the NIA, Reshi has been designated as a "terrorist" under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. He has been funding militancy in the Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
valley.

Reshi joined the krazed killer ranks in 2015 and was involved in the planning and execution of a krazed killer attack at a police guard post in Sopore in which a constable was killed and others injured. He was earlier associated with Hizbul- Mujahideen, and later fled to Pakistain.

As per NIA, he is currently involved in the krazed killer activities of The Resistance® Front (TRF), manages and supplies arms and ammunition, as well as funds for the outfit from across the border.

Based on its findings, the NIA has attached his agriculture land measuring 9.25 Marlas under the Act. Representatives of the UT Government and the police assisted the agency in the attachment process.

The agency said that till date, it has attached the properties of five designated Lions of Islam — US based Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, Canada based Hardeep Singh Nijjar, and Pakistain based terrorists-Mushtaq Zargar alias Latram, Basit Ahmad Pir and KCF (Panjwar) Paramjit Singh alias Panjwar.

"The NIA recently attached, under UAPA, the Hurriyat office in Srinagar, which was owned in part by Nayeem Khan, an accused charge sheeted by the NIA in the Hurriyat terror funding case", it said.

On Thursday, the NIA had attached house of Mushtaq Zargar, the founder and chief commander of al-Umar Mujahideen. He was released along with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar
...One of the major players in Pak terrorism. In early 1994, India incarcerated him for his activities. In 1995, foreign tourists were kidnapped in Jammu and Kashmir. The kidnappers included his release among their demands. One of the hostages managed to escape but the rest were eventually killed. In 1999, he was freed by the Indian government in exchange for passengers on hijacked Indian Airlines Flight 814 that had been diverted to Kandahar. The hijackers were led by Masood Azhar's brother, Ibrahim Athar. Once he was handed over to the hijackers, they fled to Pak territory despite the fact that Islamabad had earlier stated that any of the hijackers would be jugged at the border. The Pak government had also previously indicated that Azhar would be allowed to return home since he did not face any charges there. Shortly after his release, he made a public address to an estimated 10,000 people in Karachi, firing up the rubes against America and India...

Police on Friday recovered seven kilograms of heroin, over Rs 2 crore cash and a pistol from the house of a notorious drug peddler along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, a police brass hat said.

Additional Director General of Police, Jammu zone, Mukesh Singh said a major narco-terror module has been busted in the Union Territory, adding the search operation is still going on.

The recovery was made from the house of notorious drug peddler Rafi Dhana alias "Rafi Lala", who was recently detained under the stringent Public Safety Act, in Mandi sector, Singh said here.

He said police along with components of the National Crime Agency and the CRPF raided the house of Rafi near the LoC on specific information, leading to the recovery of seven kgs of heroin, over Rs 2 crore and a pistol with one magazine and 10 rounds and seven rounds of SLR.

The counting of the cash is still going on, the officer said.

Terrorist gunned down in N Waziristan IBO
[GEO.TV] One terrorist was killed Friday after the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in North Wazoo's general area Mir Ali, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

According to the military's media wing, the terrorist was shot full of holes after an intense fire exchange while the operation was being conducted.

The forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorist who, as per the ISPR, remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and the killing of innocent citizens.

"Locals of the area appreciated the operation and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the area," the statement read.

Earlier this week, two soldiers were martyred after an intense exchange of fire in North Waziristan's general area of Spinwam.

During this exchange, the troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location after which two snuffies were shot full of holes and two were apprehended.

"Pakistain Army is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve," the statement read.

As Pakistain remains gripped by the spate of terror attacks for the last few months, the country's civil and military leadership has resolved to stand united against terrorists.

The National Apex Committee — comprising the country's top military and politicianship — last Friday sought national consensus to root out militancy.

The recent attacks by snuffies in the country's rural and urban centres, claiming the lives of innocent Paks and law enforcers, have triggered the security forces and LEAs to accelerate action against them.

Iran says British arms smuggling bust 'fake news'
[Al Ahram] The foreign ministry accused the Western allies of attempting to divert attention from their own arming of a Saudi-led coalition that has waged a devastating campaign against Yemen

's Iran-backed rebels since 2015.

"The countries that have been the main perpetrators of war throughout history... are trying to mislead world public opinion by making false claims and promoting fake news," ministry front man Nasser Kanani said in a statement.

"The countries that have caused the death of people and the destruction of Yemen by sending billions of dollars' worth of weapons to the aggressor coalition, cannot exonerate themselves by accusing others."

On Thursday, the British embassy in the United Arab Emirates announced that the Royal Navy had seized Iranian-made weapons from a smuggling vessel off the coast of Oman last week.

The small craft, traveling at "high speed" after dark in international waters, was initially spotted by US aerial surveillance, a statement by the embassy said.

The weapons retrieved included medium-range ballistic missile components as well Iranian versions of Russia's Kornet anti-tank missile, it added.

The seizure took place on February 23 along a route historically used to smuggle weapons to Yemen, according to the Bahrain-based United States Fifth Fleet.

"This is the seventh illegal weapon or drug interdiction in the last three months and yet another example of Iran's increasing malign maritime activity across the region," said US Vice-Admiral Brad Cooper.

In January, the US Navy said it had seized more than 2,000 assault rifles smuggled on a fishing boat along a maritime route from Iran
