Georgia Governor Kemp declares state of emergency in response to Antifa protest
See also here.
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] The governor of Georgia on Thursday issued a state of emergency order over continued protests in connection to a proposed Atlanta police training facility.

The order from Governor Brian Kemp will last 15 days and includes the mobilization of 1,000 Georgia National Guards troops.

This comes a week after 26-year-old Manuel Teran, a protestor, allegedly shot a state trooper before gunfire was returned and he was killed. The trooper is expected to survive.
Mr. Teran got himself killed during a clearing operation of the 380 acre Antifa autonomous zone that has been on the site of the future Atlanta Public Safety Training Center since June 2021.
'Georgians respect peaceful protest, but do not tolerate acts of violence against persons or property,' the state of emergency issued Thursday reads.

Several days ago, the Republican governor spoke with Fox Business about the training facility, calling it a 'little bit controversial.'

'There have been some folks that are environmental protestors, most of that group has been peaceful. But some domestic terrorists, anarchists - whatever you want to call them - you know, really have been damaging property, assaulting workers, state employees and other people,' Kemp said.

The protests are over the proposed Atlanta Public Safety Training Center, dubbed 'Cop City.'

On January 21, six people were arrested after protests turned violent mostly peaceful in the city.

Protestors began damaging property and even set a police cruiser on fire. In his order, Kemp specifically mentioned the burnt car.

'Masked activist muppets threw rocks, launched fireworks and burned a police vehicle in front of the Atlanta Police Foundation office building,' the declaration read.

'Georgians respect peaceful protests, but do not tolerate acts of violence against persons or property,' it continued.

At the time, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens said some in attendance were found with explosives.

Protestors have been at the site for months but turned deadly on January 18 when Teran shot at Georgia State Troopers.

The trooper's identity is not being revealed over safety concerns.

The state of emergency order signed Thursday 'grants the Governor authority to empower the Georgia National Guard to subdue riot and unlawful assembly.'

In a statement, the Atlanta Police Department said they are 'closely monitoring' the Memphis situation and are preparing for protests in their own city.

'We understand and share in the outrage surrounding the death of Tyre Nichols,' the department wrote in part.

'Police officers are expected to conduct themselves in a compassionate, competent, and constitutional manner and these officers failed Tyre, their communities and their profession. We ask that demonstrations be safe and peaceful,' the statement read.

What idiot ANTI-FA / BLoM leaders were so Dumba$$ stupid thinking they could pull off a SF/LA/Portland/Seattle type riot stunt in a Pro-Firearm, Pro-Property Owner, and a Right To Defend state like GA?

But, Kemp, by using the NG, will likely save a lot of Metro-Atlanta property owners & GA citizens (all races and colors) from rotating their ammo supply.

The downside of this is it will do little to reduce the number of rabid interloping LSD's, since far less now would have had their carbon footprint neutralized.

They’d been getting away with it for almost 2 1/2 years, NN2N1. Red state, but deep blue city, so the local police left them alone.

10 HT Elements Arrested by Taliban in Kapisa
[8AM] 10 members of Hizbut Tahrir
...an al-Qaeda recruiting organization banned in most countries. It calls for the reestablishment of the Caliphate...
(UT) were arrested by the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
in Kapisa province. Hizbut Tahrir, abbreviated as HT, is an international pan-Islamist and fundamentalist political movement, seeking to re-establish a pure Islamic caliphate that would unite the Moslem communities worldwide into a single state that implements sharia law.

On Friday, January 27, sources confirmed to Hasht-e Subh, saying that the Taliban arrested HT elements nine days ago in Nawabad village on the outskirts of Kapisa’s capital city, and no specifics were immediately available on their conditions and whereabouts.

According to sources, these HT members were arrested and imprisoned when they gathered to attend a party meeting.

The Taliban and HT have not officially expressed an opinion in this regard as of yet.

UT has been accused of providing facilities for al-Qaeda and ISIS in central-south-western Asian countries and has been banned in Bangladesh, China, Germany, Russia, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, and all Arab countries except Lebanon Hezbollahstan

...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
and the UAE. The Death Eater group also operates in western countries, including the UK and Australia.

The former government of Afghanistan also banned it from operating in the country due to its affiliation with the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. of Khurasan Province (ISKP) and suspicious activities.

HT members were welcomed and supported by the Taliban in Afghanistan, in particular in Kapisa, immediately after the Death Eaters’ rise to power. But a few months later, after some controllers and top members of Hizbut Tahrir, Jamaat-e Islah and Najm groups were assassinated and some fled Afghanistan, the Taliban announced a ban on their activities.

Daily Evacuation Brief January 28, 2023
[AfghanDigest] LAST 24 HOURS
  • FORMER ARMY AND POLICE REMAIN UNDER THREAT – Overwhelmingly, the highest number of casualties that continue to be exacted on the Afghan population come from the former Afghan Army, Intelligence, and Police. 2 men, both former security force members under the previous regime were killed in Northern Baghlan Province (Pul-i-Khumri) over the last few days. These killings continue to be carried out by ‘unidentified gunmen’ and most locals are under the assumption that the Taliban simply don masks to carry out the operations. The false flag of ‘general amnesty’ continues to lure many to their deaths. This segment of society continues to see the highest casualty rates in the country.

  • TALIBAN ARREST 10 HIZB UT-TAHRIR MEMBERS IN KAPISA – Reports from the Province say that Taliban security forces rounded up 10 of the more radical members of the fundamentalist movement in an operation on the outskirts of the provincial capital. The arrests are thought to have occurred on 18 January but have only now been announced. Hizb ut-Tahrir has long been accused of aiding al-Qaeda and ISIS throughout Central Asia. The fundamentalist advocated for a pan-Islamist political strategy to establish a caliphate across the region. The Taliban initially welcomed Hizb ut-Tahrir into Afghanistan and most located in Kapisa. However, a falling out between the two is thought to have occurred in 2022 and some of the group members were assassinated under mysterious circumstances. The Taliban have since banned the group publicly.

  • PAKISTAN-AFGHANISTAN BUS SERVICE MAY RESUME SOON – A bus terminal at Torkham Gate is being planned that would link service from Jalalabad in Afghanistan to Peshawar, Pakistan. The service ran for many years but was suspended after a violent incident between the two countries in 2016. The date for reopening has not been announced but Pakistani officials seemed to imply that all negotiations had been agreed to between the two countries.

  • TALIBAN OFFICIAL AT RALLY, “WE’RE READY FOR SUICIDE ATTACK” – More rallies erupted on Friday to protest the burning of the Quran in Sweden last week. A Taliban official in Ghor Province, Abdullah Zaeem, read a statement at a rally saying - “We the residents of Ghor are ready for suicide (attack) against the infidels to protect the values of Islam.” Other leaders among the Taliban called for West to hand over the man responsible for the act (Rasmus Paludan, a Danish political figure). In 2011, a similar act in the US sparked widespread protests, and protestors in Mazar-i-Sharif burst into a UN compound and killed 7 foreign UN staff. The protests lasted for several days with many non-combatants and police killed before finally subsiding.

NEXT 24 HOURS
MORE PROTESTS AGAINST THE BURNING OF QURAN IN SWEDEN EXPECTED – While there has been no reported violence to date, thousands are expected to continue protests over the weekend in at least 11 Provinces. Some local sources were concerned that Afghans who had worked on projects with Scandinavian countries could be targeted. However, this threat does not appear to be widespread. We urge caution for at-risk Afghans as they travel around urban areas and to avoid the protest sites if at all possible.

U.S. Military Raid In Northern Somalia Kills Senior ISIS Leader, 10 Fighters
A bit more on this story from yesterday.
[SAHARAREPORTERS] Bilal al-Sudani, a big shot of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
terrorist group (ISIS) in Somalia, and 10 other ISIS fighters have been killed in a U.S. military operation in northern Somalia.

The military raid was carried out by the U.S Special Operations Forces on a cave complex in northern Somalia on Wednesday night, U.S. officials said on Thursday.

New York Times

... which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

reports that Bilal al Sudani, whom the officials described as a key operative and controller of the terror group’s global network, was the target of the raid.

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said in a statement that al-Sudani was "responsible for fostering the growing presence of ISIS in Africa and funding the group’s operations worldwide, including in Afghanistan."

President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing...
was said to have ordered the operation after Austin and Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, recommended it.

The officials said no civilians were maimed or killed in the operation, but they did not identify any of the 10 others killed beyond characterizing them as ISIS operatives.

According to the report, the only injury the officials reported was a U.S. service member who was bitten by one of the American military service dogs.

The operation took place in a mountainous area in northern Somalia and followed months of planning, the officials said.

"[There were] extensive rehearsals of the operation itself by our military forces," one senior administration official said, "including at sites specifically built to recreate the terrain where the operation ultimately needed to take place ... [T]he actual execution [was] careful, precise and effective."

The operation yielded some intelligence, but the senior administration officials declined to provide specifics.

"Our intelligence community expects to glean valuable information from this operation as well, demonstrating our continued emphasis on maximizing intelligence collection," one official said.
NDtv adds:
In a release, the White House said al-Sudani had a long history as a terrorist in Somalia. Before joining ISIS, he was designated by the US Treasury Department in 2012 for his role in extremist al-Shabaab movement in Somalia.

Ten years ago, before he joined the Islamic State, Sudani was involved in recruiting and training fighters for al-Shabaab.
Garowe points out that Bilal al-Sudani is from Sudan, adding:
IS-Somalia has been trying to expand territory but the traditional rivalry with Al-Shabaab has made it impossible, limiting their operations only to parts of Puntland, while Al-Shabaab is dominant in many parts of the country. IS Somalia is said to have recruited a number of people from foreign nations.

The US has been partnering with the Somali National Army, the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia [ATMIS], and local militia in the fight against the extremists. This week, the Somali government announced that around 300 militants were killed in operations at Gal'ad and Haradhere towns.

Bombing in central Nigeria was a drone, not an air force plane: Government
Follow up to this story from yesterday.
[AlAhram] The corpse count from a kaboom that struck a group of herders in central Nigeria has risen to 40 from 27, the local government said Thursday.

"We now have approximately 40 people that were killed" by the earth-shattering kaboom on Wednesday in Rukubi, a village on the border between Nasarawa and Benue states, said Nasarawa's governor Abdullahi Sule.

"The rumour earlier was that the air force carried out the bombing but right now we understand that there was no air force plane that flew (above) the area," Sule told Arise News television late Wednesday.

"Instead it was a drone that flew (above) the area and dropped the bomb," Sule said, without specifying who was operating the aircraft.

An umbrella group representing herders had said the bomb was dropped by a Nigerian military jet.

Nigeria's air force front man did not respond to AFP requests for comment.

Herders and farmers in central Nigeria have been clashing over grazing and water rights for decades, but the violence has worsened in recent years after some herders joined criminal gangs that raid villages.

The conflict has also taken on an ethnic and religious dimension, with most herders being Moslems while farmers are largely Christians.

Last Thursday, nine people were killed when suspected herders opened fire outside a camp for people displaced by earlier attacks near Makurdi, the capital of Benue state, according to local officials.

Security is a major issue in Nigeria ahead of next month's elections to replace President Muhammadu Buhari, a former army general.

Britain
UK student nurse charged with taking bomb to maternity ward
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A student nurse appeared in a British court Friday, charged with planning to attack an air force base and taking a home-made bomb to a hospital maternity unit where he worked.

Mohammad Farooq, 27, was arrested outside St. James’s University Hospital in Leeds, northern England, on Jan. 20 with what prosecutors say was a "viable" pressure-cooker bomb containing 13.7 kilograms (30 pounds) of a homemade low-explosive mixture.

Prosecutors also allege that Farooq carried out "hostile reconnaissance" of a Royal Air Force base in northern England earlier this month after being encouraged online to attack it.

He faces one charge of preparing an act of terrorism in connection with the air base plan, which prosecutors allege was motivated by "Islamic" extremism.
Sounds like a jihadi to me.
Farooq also is charged with possessing an explosive substance and possessing an imitation firearm over the hospital incident, which prosecutors say was motivated by a grudge against another staff member.
Even if he were not a true jihadi, do we really want to import a culture that says it’s good to blow up random mothers and babies because one of the guys on your shift cracks his chewing gum? On the other hand, dear Reader, what’s your bet on how long before it is revealed that Mr. Farooq is highly connected to jihadis, and the authorities have a large file on him?
Farooq appeared by video link at Westminster Magistrates’ Court. He was not asked to enter pleas and was ordered detained until his next court hearing on Feb. 3 at London’s Central Criminal Court.
The Guardian adds:
He was arrested in the early hours of last Friday outside the maternity unit at St James’s university hospital in Leeds, where he had been due to work a shift.

Farooq is said to have told a man he "felt like killing everyone" before showing him a gun, then told police he had a bomb.

His actions at the hospital are not alleged to have been motivated by terrorism but by a grudge towards another member of staff.

Farooq, from Leeds, appeared at Westminster magistrates’ court on Friday from a cop shoppe in Bradford. He spoke to confirm his name, address and date of birth and was not asked to enter pleas to the three charges he faces.

Farooq is charged with one count of engaging in conduct with the intention of committing acts of terrorism between 12 July and last year and 20 January.

The prosecutor Mark Luckett said Farooq allegedly had instructions to assemble a homemade bomb, bought equipment and made the bomb, researched the RAF base online and engaged in reconnaissance of the alleged target.

He is also charged with possessing an explosive substance on 20 January with intent to endanger life or cause serious injury to property.

Farooq faces a further count of possessing an imitation firearm — a Gediz 9mm PAK semi-automatic pistol — with intent to cause fear of violence on the same date.

There was no application for bail and the chief magistrate, Paul Goldspring, remanded him into custody. His next appearance will be at the Old Bailey next Friday.
The Yorkshire Post makes it explicit:
But the NHS worker has also been accused of carrying out “hostile reconnaissance” of an RAF base in Yorkshire on January 10 and 18, after being inspired by radical Islam and Jihad.

Prosecutors said and he chose the target because of online encouragement to carry out a “lone wolf” attack at the site.

Farooq, from Roundhay in Leeds, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday from a police station in Bradford

US charges three men in Iran-backed plot to assassinate journalist Masih Alinejad
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The US announced Friday that three men had been arrested and charged for allegedly taking part in an Iran-backed plot to kill an Iranian dissident with American citizenship.

Attorney General Merrick Garland
...Attorney General of the U.S., who classifies indignant parents as domestic terrorists. The is the respected legal scholar Obama nominated for the Supreme Court...
said that the individuals had been charged for their roles in a conspiracy to assassinate Masih Alinejad, an outspoken critic of the Iranian regime.

"These charges arise out of an ongoing investigation into the Government of Iran’s efforts to assassinate, on US soil, a journalist, author, and human rights
...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions...
activist muppet who is a US Citizen of Iranian origin," Garland said in televised remarks. "The Department of Justice will not tolerate attempts by an authoritarian regime to undermine those protections and the rule of law upon which our democracy is based."

A federal court in New York charged Rafat Amirov, Polad Omarov and Khalid Mehdiyev with murder-for-hire and money laundering allegations.

The three men were part of an Eastern European criminal organization, according to the Justice Department.

Rafat Amirov, from Iran, was arrested Thursday in the US, while Omarov, also known as Araz Aliyev, was arrested in the Czech Republic on Jan. 4. The US will request his extradition.

Mehdiyev was arrested in the US on July 29, 2022.

Following the Justice Department’s announcement, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan slammed the "disturbing pattern" of the Iranian government-sponsored efforts to kill, torture, and intimidate into silence activist muppets who speak out for the freedoms of Iranians around the world. Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco said Iran
...Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979...
continues to pose a threat to the US through its proxies and networks.

She said the indictment exposed a dangerous menace to national security - "a double threat posed by a vicious transnational crime group operating from what it thought was the safe haven of a rogue nation."

She also pointed out that over the last year, the US had charged members of Iran’s IRGC with a plot to murder former US national security advisor John Bolton.

Iran continues to threaten the lives of former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former US Special Envoy for Iran Brian Hook. Both former diplomats continue to receive federal protection as requested by the State Department to the ongoing threats.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Militant hideouts pounded in Lakki operation
[Dawn] The security forces and police jointly carried out a crackdown on snuffies near Lakki Marwat city for the second consecutive day on Friday.
That’s TTP country.
Official sources told Dawn that the security and law-enforcement agencies besieged the dense forest along the Kurram River after receiving intelligence information about presence of bad boys.

They said heavy weapons were used against bad boys, while their hideouts were pounded by Cobra helicopters.

The sources said the operation was carried out in Ihsanpur area on the northern side of the Kurram River and in Kaichi Kamar village on the river’s southern side. They said snuffies had established hideouts in the dense forest and used them after carrying out attacks on police and other law-enforcement agencies in the district.

The military’s media wing, ISPR, didn’t issue any statement about the operation.

A surge in terrorist attacks against police was reported in Kurram Par area, which borders Karak and Mianwali districts, in recent months.

In Nov 2022, two security personnel and six coppers were martyred and two injured in a bad boy attack near Wanda Shahabkhel locality in Kurram Par and Wanda Pashan areas.

Palestinian shooter kills 7 near Jerusalem synagogue
[Hot Air] The attacked happened Friday night a little after 8pm in Jerusalem:

Seven people were shot and killed and at least three others were wounded in a terror shooting attack at a synagogue in Jerusalem’s Neve Yaakov neighborhood, police and medics said Friday night.

According to police, the terrorist arrived by car at 8:13 p.m. at a building used as a synagogue in the neighborhood in northern Jerusalem and opened fire at people outside the synagogue and other passersby.

He then fled the scene by car toward the Palestinian neighborhood of Beit Hanina — several hundred meters away — where he encountered officers who were called to the scene.

Police said the terrorist — a resident of East Jerusalem — was shot dead after he exited the car and opened fire on the officers while trying to escape on foot...

According to Channel 12 news, the terrorist first shot an elderly woman in the street, then encountered a motorcycle rider and shot him, before reaching the Ateret Avraham synagogue and opening fire at people outside.

The Jerusalem Post reports that this is the shooter: "The name of the perpetrator was Khairy Alqam (not the other way around), 21 years old, from Jerusalem."

#2  The Times of Israel:

A distraught witness described the massacre to National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir at the scene, saying the terrorist had nearly killed him. The shooter is believed to have waited outside the synagogue and opened fire on worshipers as they left after Shabbat services.

“I came outside and I saw people shouting, people running, two people were on the ground, and over there another one was on the ground,” he said, gesturing in the direction of the casualties, struggling to speak. “The bastard was standing in front of me with a weapon, almost killed me. I don’t know how he didn’t kill me. I crawled back into the house.”

“If I had been armed I could have prevented three or four deaths. I’m not armed. They won’t let me have a weapon,” the unidentified witness said, adding that five members of his family, including his brother, had been killed in a terror attack in Jerusalem in 2002. “I can never forget it. It needs to stop.”

“We don’t want to take the law into our own hands,” he said in footage broadcast by Channels 12 and 13.

Ben Gvir told him, “I hope that soon we’ll change the policy for weapons. There need to be weapons for more civilians.”

Ayash took to Facebook after the attack, writing in a post: “I am Fadi, I live in Bethlehem. I did not perform the operation, nor was involved in the operation.”

“God bless the martyrs,” he added.
