Many are wondering what Fulton County has hidden from Trump's lawyers also
[KrebsOnSecurity] The FBI’s takedown of the LockBit ransomware group last week came as LockBit was preparing to release sensitive data stolen from government computer systems in Fulton County, Ga. But LockBit is now regrouping, and the gang says it will publish the stolen Fulton County data on March 2 unless paid a ransom. LockBit claims the cache includes documents tied to the county’s ongoing criminal prosecution of former President Trump, but court watchers say teaser documents published by the crime gang suggest a total leak of the Fulton County data could put lives at risk and jeopardize a number of other criminal trials.

Dubbed “Operation Cronos,” the effort involved the seizure of nearly three-dozen servers; the arrest of two alleged LockBit members; the release of a free LockBit decryption tool; and the freezing of more than 200 cryptocurrency accounts thought to be tied to the gang’s activities. The government says LockBit has claimed more than 2,000 victims worldwide and extorted over $120 million in payments.

LockBitSupp also denied assertions made by the U.K.’s NCA that LockBit did not delete stolen data as promised when victims agreed to pay a ransom. The accusation is an explosive one because nobody will pay a ransom if they don’t believe the ransomware group will hold up its end of the bargain.

The ransomware group leader also confirmed information first reported here last week, that federal investigators managed to hack LockBit by exploiting a known vulnerability in PHP, a scripting language that is widely used in Web development.

#1  Biden Operative Inserted Into Fani Team According To Insider; Jim Jordan Reveals New Whistleblower

"The alleged 'plant' in question is Jeff DiSantis - the county's Deputy DA, who not only worked on Willis's 2020 campaign and was the former Executive Director of the Democrat Party of Georgia, he was the DNC's deputy director of compliance."

"Anyone that has common sense knows that the White House has been involved in this prosecution," a source continued. "This shouldn’t just miraculously happen. Of course, she’s [Willis] not going to prosecute the former president United States without the current administration’s approval."

"According to the sources, DiSantis was deeply involved in selecting grand jurors for the Trump case based on voter registration data."

"Part of why you’re raising money as a candidate is to get money to buy the data about who are your voters. DiSantis, as the former head of the state Democratic Party, he’s going to know you know [the data] in Georgia," said a source. "There’s not one conservative person on that grand jury."

‘Every State Is A Border State': Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp Blasts Biden Administration Over College Student's Death
[Daily Caller] Republican Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp blasted the Biden administration Sunday over the death of Augusta University student Laken Riley, allegedly caused by an illegal immigrant.

Kemp told the "Fox & Friends Sunday" hosts President Joe Biden has yet to reach out to him regarding the killing of Riley, who was found dead near a lake at the University of Georgia (UGA) campus after going missing. Jose Antonio Ibarra, the 22-year-old nursing student’s suspected killer, entered the United States illegally in 2022, according to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) statement to the Daily Caller.

"I, along with a lot of other people, [have] been making [a point] now that every state is a border state. I mean, we are beyond frustrated," Kemp said. "When you look at what Greg Abbott’s done. He’s having to secure his own border at the state. I mean, the Democrats are mad at him for doing that, but he’s, you know, had his last straw, [and] the people of Texas have."

Koch-backed Americans for Prosperity cuts off money to Haley after South Carolina defeat
[Washington Examiner] The Koch-aligned Americans for Prosperity Action will no longer be spending money on behalf of Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley’s campaign, the political group announced less than 24 hours after former President Donald Trump defeated her in the South Carolina GOP primary.

In an email to staff on Sunday, Americans For Prosperity CEO Emily Seidel that the group’s political branch, AFP Action, had to "take stock" of its spending priorities after Haley’s most recent loss, Politico reported. The group will now direct its focus toward competitive Senate and House races.

"Nikki Haley has shown us again and again that we made the right decision in supporting her candidacy and she continues to have our strong endorsement," Seidel wrote. "She has made it clear that she will continue to fight and we wholeheartedly support her in this effort. But given the challenges in the primary states ahead, we don’t believe any outside group can make a material difference to widen her path to victory."

AFP Action, a network connected to conservative billionaire Charles Koch, signaled for months last fall they were ready to move on from Trump. And as Haley gained momentum as the challenger to Trump most likely to defeat him, the prominent political group threw its money behind the former United Nations ambassador.

Months later, the group’s financial abandonment of Haley represents a crucial loss in a winter packed with them. Haley has yet to win a primary contest against Trump and looks destined to concede the race to her former boss.

#4  CTH has a superb analysis of this, with a key point posted below. His explanation of "Battered Conservative Syndrome", is spot-on:"Battered conservative syndrome is an outcome of the majority of those republican voters misunderstanding that corporate desires of the Republican and Democrat club apparatus are essentially merged into one party."

"MAGA is the Republican party now, and the corporate republican world has been dragged to the inflection point. The corporatists still have control over many of the internal mechanisms of the professional Republican party, but that control is slipping as more and more MAGA-minded people move into local, state and national political networks.

In the announcement that Charles Koch and AFP are withdrawing financial support for Nikki Haley, they are admitting the institutional republican apparatus is now dropping back to control their Senate and Congressional power systems. In essence if they cannot control the presidency, they will control all of the systems that stem from the office of the presidency and thereby block Trump from delivering on the America-First agenda."

Gavin Newsom calls Biden's age a ‘gift' rather than a liability
[Washington Examiner] Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) defended President Joe Biden despite growing concerns over his age and mental acuity, contending that the president’s seeking four more years to express his "age" and "wisdom" is a "gift."

The California governor dismissed concerns about Biden leading the Democratic Party’s ticket in November, arguing that the president’s tenure in the White House has been a "masterclass" and that he is "all in" for four more years, while on NBC News’s Meet the Press.

"We have American manufacturing coming back home, all because of Biden’s wisdom, because of his temperance, his capacity to lead in a bipartisan manner — which is an underrepresented point. So I have great confidence moving forward. So the answer is absolutely. All in, in terms of the next four years for Joe Biden," Newsom said.

Newsom also argued that the president has been successful "because of his age" and described him seeking another four-year term as a "gift" for the "American people."

"I’ve been out with him as you know, on the campaign trail — was just out in California — I’ve seen him up close. I’ve seen him from afar, but here’s my point. It’s because of his age that he’s been so successful. It’s because of the wisdom and the character that’s developed over the years," Newsom said, before listing off bills, such as the bipartisan infrastructure bill, which Biden signed into law.

"So the opportunity to express that for four more years, what a gift it is for the American people, and as a Democrat, what it gets for me to make the case for the leader of our party, Joe Biden," he added.

Donald Trump defeats Nikki Haley in South Carolina primary
Unexpectedly. [GEO.TV] Former president and Republican candidate Donald Trump
...The man who was so stupid he beat fourteen professional politicians, a former tech CEO, and a brain surgeon for the Republican nomination in 2016, then beat The Smartest Woman in the World in the general election...
won the South Carolina Primary on Saturday, defeating Nikki Haley
...Trump administration's former ambassador to the UN. First woman to serve as Governor of South Carolina, and the second Indian-American governor in the country, after Bobby Jindal of Louisiana. At the age of 39, Haley was the youngest governor in the U.S., a distinction formerly held by Jindal. She is a Republican, which really grates on the Dems...
and continuing his winning streak as he marches towards a third presidential nomination and a rematch with Democratic President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem machine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family...
, Rooters reported.

Despite his several court cases and Haley's status as a South Carolina native and two-term governor, the former president was heavily favoured to win the Southern state.

According to Rooters, Trump was up 60.0% to 39.4%, out of the estimated 83% of the predicted vote cast.

Harvard's Plagiarism Problem Multiplies
[CityJournal] Harvard has a plagiarism problem. At the beginning of the year, Claudine Gay resigned as university president following a plagiarism scandal. Weeks later, the Washington Free Beacon published a report indicating that Harvard’s chief diversity officer, Sherri Ann Charleston, apparently plagiarized passages in multiple academic papers.

Now allegations have emerged that another Harvard DEI administrator, Shirley Greene, of Harvard Extension School, plagiarized more than 40 passages of her 2008 dissertation, "Converging Frameworks: Examining the Impact of Diversity-Related College Experiences on Racial/Ethnic Identity Development." According to the Harvard directory, Greene is a Title IX coordinator affiliated with the Office for Gender Equity. She has worked to advance "Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging," and hosted a panel on "The Past, Present, and Future of Juneteenth" in conjunction with the DEI department. (Harvard did not respond to an emailed request for comment.)

The Harvard Crimson previously reported on the allegations against Greene, which a whistleblower lodged anonymously. I have obtained the full complaint, which paints a much more damning indictment of Greene’s scholarship than the student newspaper had let on. Seen in its entirety, the complaint raises serious questions about Greene’s scholarship and academic integrity.

In the most serious instance, Greene lifts directly from Janelle Lee Woo’s 2004 dissertation, "Chinese American Female Identity." In two significant sections, Greene copied words, phrases, passages, and almost entire paragraphs verbatim, without proper attribution or quotation. She also copies most of an entire table on "Racial/Ethnic Identity Development Models," a foundational concept in the paper, without acknowledging the source.
