The original strategy of Joe’s team was to deny everything. Because their original story of Joe having no involvement, no discussions and no role within the family business is so far from reality, that the strategy was only tenable with a complicit media.
Joe’s spin merchants are now engaged in a chaotic fighting retreat against the truth. Most of their current statements contradict their previous statements, and the new statements will also soon collapse.
It is hard for me to tell whether the White House is now stalling for time and trying to delay his resignation for as long as possible or whether there is hope for an overriding foreign crisis where they can argue the need for the stability of the current puppet show to continue for the length of Joe’s term. If Kirby resigns, that will be the signal that the panic button has been pushed.

I suspect Kirby is working his exit strategy right now. Remember his face in the photo on AF1 where Joe was speaking? In the words of Chandler Bing.."Could I BE anymore worried?"

at the public event, Biden told the same Amtrak conductor story that had been debunked a half dozen times in the past few years. Then an hour later, he told it again.

Senator Bernie Sanders says he does not support a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas:
“I don't know how you can have a permanent cease fire with an organization like Hamas which is dedicated to turmoil, chaos and destroying the state of Israel.” pic.twitter.com/r1WskSKbEP
Unfortunately, there were two statements from The Bern. One on CNN that’s being tweeted all over, the subsequent one released by his X account for clarification, that completely contradicts the first. Below Senator Sanders’ classic, “Yes, but”:
Actually, Bernie has made a number of strong, clear and consistent statements this week: 1. Hamas has to go. 2. Hard to have a PERMANENT ceasefire as long as Hamas is controlling Gaza. 3. The bombardment of Gazan civilians has to stop https://t.co/ufsSlI9ENZ
[Red State] Former President Barack Obama floated down to the world stage once more to weigh in on the Israel-Hamas war in a podcast called "Pod Save America," arguing that "no one’s hands are clean." Excerpts from the speech were released Saturday, and the full interview will run Tuesday.

Winston Churchill was a foundational rock with regard to leadership in crisis. Obama is more of a soy chunk.

He's always sided with Hamas but was smart enough to pretend neutrality to fool the usual idiots. Now that he's picked a side I have to wonder if Joe will change as well, or if this is a way to distance himself from Joe and keep the love of the far, far left he so adores.

Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
