Feds Weighing Criminal Charges Against Top Democrat Senator: Report
[Daily Wire] The U.S. Department of Justice is considering bringing criminal charges against Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) after a lengthy corruption investigation, according to a new report.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the prosecutors are expected to meet with Menendez’s lawyers in the next few weeks, a sign that prosecutors have "developed the evidence they need to bring charges."

Meetings like this that occur toward the end of an investigation are usually held so defense lawyers can present reasons why their clients should not be charged.

The criminal investigation into Menendez, which first made news last October, originally centered around how IS EG Halal, a New Jersey-based halal meat business, won "an exclusive worldwide contract with Egypt to certify halal exports — as numerous other firms’ contracts were suddenly canceled in 2019," NBC News reported.

Numerous sources told the publication that the U.S. Agriculture Department was suspicious over how the large contract was awarded to the company which had "little experience."

Menendez’s wife is friends with the company’s owners, the report said, and the senator’s position as chairman on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee puts him in charge of billions of dollars in weapons sales to Egypt.

In 2015, Menendez was indicted on bribery charges for allegedly accepting "luxury vacations, golf outings, campaign donations and expensive flights" from Florida physician Salomon Melgen in exchange for political favors. A federal jury in Florida convicted Melgen in April of "67 charges for operating what prosecutors called a massive scheme that robbed Medicare out of as much as $105 million," the Palm Beach Post reported.

Prosecutors began investigating Menendez when they were tipped off in 2012 that Menendez was allegedly having sex with underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic.

The jury was split in the trial and a mistrial was declared.

#2  And it's not like Menendez is having his first brush with the law. And that he didn't count his blessings after the first time speaks volumes. It might be wishful thinking, but it'd be nice to know that since he beat the first rap that "they" wanted to pin something else on him.

Of course, New Jersey re-elected him.

#6  I think Menendez has for years had his own deals and has refused to kiss the rings of Clinton or Obama. They have gone after him for a plethora of charges over the years. In fact he may be the first politician I heard associated with Epstein. But I could be wrong.

#10  Here is my concern with the Epstein buddies and the likely extortion tapes of them. The tapes won’t ever be divulged now that we know the Feds have the client list. If Menendez were to balk at whatever he is being asked of him, releasing the tapes on Menendez will put the Feds under incredible pressure to release the entire list. Using one tape for its blackmail purpose will wipe out all the dominos because all the folks on the client list will immediately lose their influence. Once the John’s are out of power, the tapes can only coerce cash not policy. The CIA has plenty of cash already.

Biden Suddenly Extends His Vacation, Leaving the WNBA Champs Hanging and Questions Abounding
[RedState] If members of the WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces were excited to meet Joe Biden and the First Lady on Friday, they were left disappointed. According to Peter Doocy, the president suddenly extended his vacation in Lake Tahoe, choosing to instead send in the B-team of Kamala Harris and her husband to facilitate the White House event.
What you do when you discover on the day that he just can’t, even after taking all the meds.
Far be it from me to defend the terrible sports product that is the WNBA, but it seems pretty disrespectful for the Bidens to decide at the last minute that they had better things to do than to show up for an event that was planned months ago. It's also ironic given the president's constant talk of gender equality. I guess the women's sports teams aren't important enough to matter.

What's more interesting, though, is the speculation about why Biden extended his vacation. I mean, it's not like he's had a shortage of downtime lately, with him being away from the White House almost the entire month of August. First, he went to Rehoboth Beach, then he went to Camp David, and as of this writing, he's in Lake Tahoe at a billionaire Tom Steyer's house. So what gives? I've got a few ideas.

Remember how terrible Biden looked when he put his latest vacation on hold to visit Maui for a few hours after it had been devastated by fire? He was zoning out on camera and even appearing to fall asleep at times, and that's when he wasn't making insanely unempathetic jokes in front of people who had just lost everything.

Did Biden decide to stay in Lake Tahoe because he's having one of his many "bad days," in which he can't function enough to be in public? That's certainly where my money would be if I had to bet on the matter. It's just not normal for a president to cancel an appearance at a pre-planned event at the White House unless there's some extenuating circumstance behind the scenes.

Government Corruption
Biden staffers met with Special Counsel Jack Smith's aides before Trump indictment
[NY Post] The White House counsel’s office met with a top aide to Special Counsel Jack Smith just weeks before he brought charges against former President Trump for allegedly mishandling classified documents — raising serious concerns about coordinated legal efforts aimed at President Biden’s likely opponent in 2024.

Jay Bratt, who joined the special counsel team in November 2022, shortly after it was formed, took a meeting in the White House on March 31, 2023, with Caroline Saba, deputy chief of staff for the White House counsel’s office, White House visitor logs show.

They were joined in the 10 a.m. meeting by Danielle Ray, an FBI agent in the Washington field office.

Nine weeks later, Trump was indicted by Smith’s office on June 8, 2023.

Bratt, 63, also met with Saba at the White House in November 2021, when Trump was mired in negotiations with the National Archives, who were demanding the return of presidential records from his Mar-a-Lago estate before a formal investigation had not yet been opened.

Saba, who is not an attorney, left the White House in May to attend law school.

Bratt had a third meeting in the White House in September 2021, this time with Katherine Reily, an advisor to the White House chief of staff’s office.

The logs offer no information about what was discussed at the meetings.

Critics and legal experts questioned why Bratt was taking meetings at all with the White House counsel’s office while part of an active investigation into President Biden’s likely 2024 Republican opponent.

"There is no legitimate purpose for a line [DOJ] guy to be meeting with the White House except if it’s coordinated by the highest levels," said former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani, a one-time top federal prosecutor in the Southern District.

Fired Ukraine prosecutor Viktor Shokin says he believes Bidens were bribed
[NYP] WASHINGTON — Former Ukraine prosecutor general Viktor Shokin says in a new interview set to air Saturday night that he believes — but lacks direct evidence — that President Biden and his son Hunter received bribes in exchange for forcing him out of office in early 2016.

"I do not want to deal in unproven facts, but my firm personal conviction is that, yes, this was the case. They were being bribed," Shokin told Fox News host Brian Kilmeade in an excerpt of the interview released Friday.

"And the fact that Joe Biden gave away $1 billion in US money in exchange for my dismissal, my firing, isn’t that alone a case of corruption?" added the former top law enforcement officer in Kyiv.

Shokin is a central figure in the controversy over alleged Biden family influence-peddling, which could morph into a House impeachment inquiry as early as next month.

The former prosecutor is rarely seen in Western media and his perceived credibility — or lack thereof — could dramatically shape efforts to impeach and remove the president from office.

#4  It is news. It has been surprised but it is still news because it is true and has the potential to topple a presidency. If Tucker really wants to topple the tables, he should interview Shokin. It will force the media and Deep State into action. I don’t think the DS can afford for 60M Americans to know the name Shokin. Fox, in particular, can’t afford to be scooped by Tucker. The Biden Administration is situationally in Khe Sanh. Barrage after barrage is what will turn this into Dien Bien Phu.

Michigan — Piles of Fraudulent-Manufactured Ballot Registrations from the 2020 Election
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] Two weeks ago, The Gateway Pundit published our exclusive report on MASSIVE 2020 voter registrations fraud that our sources uncovered in Michigan.

The report included information on 8,000-10,000 fraudulent registrations and a police raid on a Democrat election registration group’s office in October 2020.

The police found semiautomatic weapons, silencers, burner phones, bags of pre-paid cash cards, and blank registrations in a GBI Strategies’ voter registration manufacturing center.

After several days Michigan Attorney General finally responded to our explosive investigation and confirmed our earlier reports.

We continue to hear back from individuals with intimate knowledge of this scandal.

Photos from a confidential source close to the Muskegon investigation reveal what far-left Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel now admits is a stack of faked and fraudulent voter application forms with a return address at a Staybridge hotel, the base of operations for GBI Strategies in 2020 that sent out at least ten thousand fake voter registration applications for the election.

These photos and the source confirm that Muskegon Clerk Ann Meisch received these voter applications and received them in multiple batches, sometimes through the mail and sometimes in person.

This is possibly why Muskegon, far-left AG Nessel, and the FBI don’t want to give the Gateway Pundit access to the files: because the voter fraud is so obvious that all the voter signatures are in the same handwriting and just printed signatures, not real signings.

The fraud is so obvious here even an FBI agent could find it.

Why is no one being prosecuted for these crimes after three years? The Muskegon Police told the Gateway Pundit that they can’t get the FBI to return their phone calls about this case.

How far the ring of voter fraud extended across the state is currently suppressed by the FBI, coming up on the third year of its ’investigation’ into voter fraud into the ’safest and most secure election in history.’

#2  The questions for the Michigan SOS should be: is this investigation open and what were the results if it is closed. If it is open, a follow-up might be: why are you unable to demonstrate any results from your investigation.

Please remember that these are leftovers. It’s like the fentanyl that gets seized. How many applications did this organization actually submit?

New Hampshire's Republican Secretary of State Seeking Legal Advice on Blocking Trump From Primary
[Gateway] New Hampshire’s Republican Secretary of State David Scanlan is seeking legal advice on potentially blocking Trump from the primary ballot.

Scanlan has reportedly received letters begging him to take action based on legal theories fueled by the Democrat-media complex that claims the Constitution gives him the power to block Trump from the ballot.

The legal theories are based on Section 3 of the US Constitution’s 14th Amendment which states public officials who have "engaged in insurrection or rebellion against" the US may be disqualified from public office.

Trump has not been charged with engaging in insurrection or rebellion against the United States.

"Not being a lawyer and not wanting to make a decision in a vacuum, I will be soliciting some legal opinions on what is appropriate or not before I make any decision," Scanlan told the Boston Globe.

"I have some in-house staff attorneys that are election experts," Scanlan said. "I will be asking the attorney general’s office for their input. And ultimately whatever is decided is probably going to require some judicial input."

The Boston Globe reported:

Most American voters vote the party line down ticket. People that like Trump do not forget. The party is run by RINOs in most states. The establishment will likely try to force Scanlan on the electorate and demand that Trump supporters support him. I have met too many Trump people to think that is likely to be a winning strategy. Is a person who will decorate their boat or car in MAGA regalia and parade it, likely to bust a move to a RINO DJ? It’s not going to happen. There are areas of the country where Scanlan would still be elected. NH is too purple to elect a candidate that has stabbed the Donald.

Biden mocks Trump mugshot: 'Handsome guy'
Or possibly he just has no idea what he’s talking about, poor man.
[NYPOST] President Biden poked fun Friday at former President Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
’s unprecedented mugshot, released Thursday evening after he was booked at an Atlanta jail.

"I did see it on television," a smiling Biden told news hounds after emerging from a Pilates class in South Lake Tahoe, Calif, adding: "Handsome guy, wonderful guy."

The 80-year-old president is vacationing at billionaire Tom Steyer’s lakefront mansion and also commented on the first Republican primary debate Wednesday night.

"I don’t remember them speaking to any of the issues. I mean there was a lot of talk, but what are they going to do to deal with economic growth?" said Biden, whose own handling of the economy was criticized heavily at the debate.

Trump, who is seeking a rematch against Biden in next year’s election, became the first US president subjected to a mugshot when he surrendered at the Fulton County Jail to face charges linked to his efforts to reverse Biden’s narrow 2020 win in Georgia.

The former president has sought to use the mugshot to advance his campaign.
