San Diego Mayor Wants City to Defend Him
Embattled San Diego Mayor Bob Filner has requested that the city represent him and pay his legal expenses in his defense of a sexual harassment suit brought by a former employee.

Meanwhile, dueling efforts to recall Filner are underway. Pallamary published a newspaper notice Sunday to mark the first step of a recall bid, two days after gay rights activist Stampp Corbin did so. Corbin had been an ardent Filner supporter.
Maybe Stampp feels jilted?
Nope, Stampp is doing it for cover. Law says that if a recall petition fails, another can't be filed for six months. Stampp filed the petition and then said he wouldn't work to get signatures -- therefore it fails. Thus it protects his pal Filner. Ain't politics grand?

#1  the City is under NO obligation to represent an individual whose actions were not in his job duties (criminal, negligent, etc.). Bob was not hired to abuse females. Every other supervisor takes a two hour course each year against such actions. Nice try, Bob. F*ck off. Of, his new Chief of Staff is also an Atty , she says all her work is now protected by Atty-Client. Our City Atty - disagrees

#2  Pointedly does NOT say if he's a Dem or Pub, must be a Democrap.

Actions speak louder than words.
(PS, Weiner's toast, regardless.)

Weiner's campaign chief leaves him dangling
[NYPOST] Anthony Carlos Danger Weiner's
...aka Hot Dog Tony, the remarkably offensive sex maniac six-term New York congressman who resigned in 2011, then decided everybody had forgotten by 2013, when he decided to run for mayor of New York City...
already limp mayoral campaign suffered another huge blow yesterday, when his campaign manager abandoned the sinking ship.
"I refuse to go down on it!"
Danny Kedem quit as Weiner's campaign point man following a disastrous week on the trail, the embattled mayoral candidate confirmed this morning. "Danny has left the campaign. He did a remarkable job," Weiner said

#1  "Excellent staff" > IOW, even iff Weiner per se is indeed incompetent, his Staff + espec Wife Huma are not.

My instincts are telling me we're missing or overlooking something(s) but what???

#2  She went for Weiner, but her friends say cash was her real turn-on.

A disorder probably not rare enough for extensive investigative study or special grants. :-(

Weiner droops to fourth in NYC mayoral poll
[USATODAY] Anthony Carlos Danger Weiner
...aka Hot Dog Tony, the remarkably offensive sex maniac six-term New York congressman who resigned in 2011, then decided everybody had forgotten by 2013, when he decided to run for mayor of New York City...
has plummeted to fourth place in the Democratic race for New York City mayor, and more than half of Democratic primary voters say he should quit, according to a poll released Monday.

City Council Speaker Christine Quinn leads with 27% support among likely Democratic voters, followed by public advocate Bill DeBlasio (21%), former city comptroller Bill Thompson (20%) and Weiner (16%) in the Quinnipiac Poll.

The independent poll surveyed 446 likely Democratic voters from Wednesday through Sunday. That's different from the overnight poll released last week by NBC 4 New York, The Wall Street Journal and the Marist Institute for Public Opinion, which surveyed registered Democrats.

#1  Its to be expected.

But I still suspect some kind of ulterior motives are involved, as IMO he + Huma are too saavy to make that kind of "New Guy/Newbie" political mistake.

#4  Even his wife, in her loyalty to her husband, is now being criticized for risking the presidential hopes of her mentor, Hillary Clinton.

In a “Today” appearance Monday morning, NBC Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent Andrea Mitchell said, "This is getting to the point where it is really splashing up against the Clintons because it's almost unavoidable that people are making comparisons."

#3  So the Black Caucus believes the first and paramount choice of an individual is based solely on race. Old Klan meet the New Klan.

#13  No surprise even the Congressional Black Caucus wants to get rid of Sheila Jackson Lee. I am embarassed to admit my neighborhood is in her district. The ironic thing is that Democrat supported majority-minority districts are in large part responsible for the Republicans holding on to the House.
