#1  Well, Mr. President, does the 10% mean that is how much you have been serving the office or your assumption of blame for the economy? Assuming its the economy. Did you forget about the GM bailout, the stimulus, cash for clunkers, the failed solar companies, the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), the short Libyan War (3rd war), aid to the Mideast new democracies (sarc) and Michelle's vacations? You have no idea what the debt (or deficit) is, you have no budget, and no plan. By the way, where are the jobs?

Hillary Clinton: Rich People Don't Contribute to Growth in Their Countries
SECRETARY OF STATE HILLARY CLINTON: One of the issues I have been preaching about around the world is collecting taxes in an equitable manner, especially from the elites in every country. It is a fact that around the world the elites of every country are making money. There are rich people everywhere, and yet they do not contribute to the growth of their own countries.

They don't contribute by, say, investing in companies that create new products and jobs? They don't contribute by, say, paying taxes on their earnings and then paying taxes on them again when they die? They don't contribute if they're not quiet little slaves of the state? Is that what the American secretary of state is saying?

It's a fact around the world that Hillary Clinton has always been far more radical than she lets on. She looks less radical in the current administration, only because Barack Obama, Susan Rice and Valerie Jarrett and others in the group look more obviously radical than she does. But she's every inch the socialist that they are. She's just better at hiding it.
Great. Let's take away all your wealth then lady since you don't contribute.
Elites are always allowed to volunteer to go first...

#9  The government of Sweden discovered otherwise. When they instituted higher taxes on millionaires, they just left. Tax revenues went down, but more importantly, in many cases the jobs those millionaires created left, too. Sweden then eliminated the millionaires tax when they elected a center-right government. Tax revenues increased, job creation increased, fewer Swedes were on welfare. They then re-elected that center right government. First time they had re-elected a center-right government in many decades.

#9  Airandee, that was true long before the First Klingon started meddling with school lunches. I've read elsewhere that 70 to 80% of the food served in a typical school meal ends up in the trash can.

That's why I say feed the youts with pizza and ice cream -- they'll actually eat it, and the sugar high will make them more controllable during English class.

Research War on Affirmative Action

With the U.S. Supreme Court about to hear arguments in a case that could decide the fate of affirmative action in admissions, a research war has broken out. Defenders and critics of the consideration of race are releasing new studies (some of which were submitted in briefs to the court) on the impact of affirmative action.

Several studies presented Friday at the Brookings Institution suggested that eliminating the consideration of race would not have as dramatic an effect on minority students as some believe, and that the beneficiaries of affirmative action may in fact achieve less academic success than they would otherwise.
