Obama Unveils Jobs Plan -- For Illegal Aliens

#1  Of course this is a priority. If illegals leave the country then they won't be able to vote for Bammo's reelection.

#2  I thought diggin' a decent border fence would provide lots of jobs (some of them involving a shovel).

It might even stop the forced subsidy of illegal migrants into the states, and pay for itself rather quickly.

#3  O'Bummer has put deportation on hold for illegals without a record although I doubt arrest records will be checked in the run up to election.

Obama accuses Congress of holding back US recovery
[Emirates 24/7] A vacationing US President Barack B.O. Obama accused Congress on Saturday of holding back the US economic recovery by blocking "common sense" measures he said would create jobs and help growth.

In remarks recorded on Wednesday on his campaign-style bus tour in Illinois and aired during his holiday in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, Obama said the stalled construction, trade and payroll tax bills could give a boost to the economy.

"The only thing preventing us from passing these bills is the refusal by some in Congress to put country ahead of party. That's the problem right now. That's what's holding this country back," the president said in his weekly radio address, which is also transmitted on the Internet.
Clearly he hopes to pull a Truman-like attack on a 'do-nothing' Congress and squeak past whoever the Pubs put forward. Might work too since there's a percentage of Americans who believe whatever the MSM reports.
Wall Street stocks have suffered four weeks of losses because of investor jitters, partly over concerns that the United States may be headed for another recession after barely growing in the first half of 2011.

With the national unemployment rate stuck above 9 percent, Obama's re-election hopes may hinge on his ability to convince voters he is steering the US economy the right way.
And with the track record he has so far...
He has been criticized for taking off to Martha's Vineyard, a wealthy island retreat near Boston, at at time when some 14 million Americans are out of work. Such breaks are typical for US presidents, and the Obamas also took vacations in Martha's Vineyard in August of 2010 and 2009.

The White House has said the president would spend much of his nine-day absence from Washington working on the job and growth package he will unveil in an early September speech.

In his Saturday remarks, Obama acknowledged the country remained far from full health.

"We're going through a tough time right now. We're coming through a terrible recession," he said. "So we need folks in Washington -- the people whose job it is to deal with the country's problems, the people who you elected to serve -- we need them to put aside their differences to get things done."

Republicans control the US House of Representatives and Democrats control the Senate. A bitter fight between the two parties over deficit-cutting brought the country to the edge of a debt default and sparked a credit ratings downgrade this month.

In the Republicans' weekly address, Ohio Governor John Kasich said it was wrong for the president to stand aside and blame others for the impasse that has also affected legislation related to immigration, energy and other issues.

"Divided government is no excuse for inaction," said Kasich, a former chairman of the House Budget Committee.

"There's just no substitute for leadership from the president of the United States," Kasich said. "It's my hope President B.O. will listen to the people and partner with Republicans to get our economy back to creating jobs and producing growth."

The governor also called on conservative Republicans to show more willingness to compromise as required.

"It's just as important that Republicans not be stiff-necked about working across the aisle when important work must be done," he said, suggesting: "It's OK to compromise on policy, as long as you don't compromise on your principles."

#1  When all else fails... blame someone else.

This old trick is getting a bit stale, son.

#2  The Democrats had control of both houses of congress and the presidency for two years under this president - passed and spent trillions in 'Stimulus'. NONE of it worked - in fact it made it much, much, worse - as designed.

It isn't that they were misguided, or did not understand the problem or simply guessed wrong.

They INTENTIONALLY and WITH FULL KNOWLEDGE OF THE RESULTS drove the economy into the tank. They have been working on it for DECADES. The housing bubble - their intentional creation.

#6  If Obama flung his poo at the Republicans, that's be partisan. Can't have that. He's above all that!

But flinging it at Congress - well the Dims and the media will help the rubes figure out who the problem is there!

#9  Too much government holding back recovery.

#10  Well, its apparent from the expressions of the comments AND their suppression, as well, that feelings are running high for this particular article.

Is shakey steve for or against our beloved Leader? Poor skinny Obama. He's what he always was if you had just looked around Bernadine Dohr's Left ear or even smelled your fingers. Amazing as a monkey on a bicycle in a frilly tu-tu. OH, and they always put the monkey in a diaper "just in case."

I remember being in a bar as a kid and Kukla Fran and Ollie
( remember that old television show?) had a real live guest skunk do its "business" on the puppets and Buffalo Bob once.( Early TV was a "learning experience" as Obama would be the first to tell 'ya, he knows all about it). My dad used to let me have a "taste" of his Beer. Everybody was laughing so hard I just finished the glass.

I think Obama rates right up there with that.
Posted by: de Medici || 08/21/2011 10:01 Comments || Top||

#11  SO, Obama is "giving a lickin' to the chickens and a razzin' to the rats"?

Congress as a whole may tend to remember that Obama spit on their bald heads..... I thought Politics was diplomatic along the line that what goes around comes around. bad move to spit on the guys who may not like playing dog to your stick.

But Obama cant blame himself, now can he, and he doesnt know God's address or he would blame it on Him. Its hard to distinguish tragedy from farce with Obama.

Obama couldn't kill all thirty two Owls in a burlap bag if he stuck a shotgun straight up the neck of the bag. Congress is like the 32 Owls. Most of them will survive and they wont be real happy about the shotgun.

Bubba Barack ain't too bright. Bubba pisses in his own bath.

#14  Man, we are gonna need a bigger sink trap.

Having worked for a number of...let's just call them troubled companies, one of the markers of certain failure was the CEO blaming his idiot employees for being unable to carry out his genius plans. This was usually followed by even more unrealistic plans, more blame and total collapse.

#16  What Obama, his worshippers and supporters, mean by 'compromise' differs vastly from the common definition. "I won, do it my way." is what Obama means by 'compromise.'

#22  ...what is wrong with this pictute?

Laura, Shakey Steve seems to have a Tourette's problem when it comes to anything American, whether it is our politics or our willingness to think beyond his beloved Progressive shibboleths. The last straw was addressing us as "tea sackers", his personal oh-so-clever variant of "Teabaggers", itself a deliberate insult. Two of the moderators gave him a final warning yesterday, but he chose to ignore it.

Perhaps he will use his timeout to practice better manners. Others have learnt nicely from this particular opportunity, and returned a positive delight. Other others, on the other hand, turn out to be untrainable.

#23  I guess there has been a temporary shift from blaming G.W. BO is accusing Congress? Last I knew Congress was made up of donks and trunks. He must have forgotten the Senate is controlled by Harry Reid and the Democrats. Blaming Congress isn't going to sit too well with those up for election in 2012. The donks might just replace BO as a candidate.

#24  About Steve, there's Mount Trashmore near Virginia Beach.

I agree with Pres. Obama. Congress should ratify the free-trade agreement with Columbia right away. Um, they can't because Obama hasn't submitted it to Congress yet? What was I thinking?

I don't know what you are implying...I was just making a small point about racists and the ban-hammer. Have a marvelous evening...

#33  Nimble Spemble you have a way with words. The soft touch of class.
While distracted with all the conflicts of the world as well as internal issues the world still turns. The Asian Times 8-20-11 reviewed a new book
"The Future of Power". I believe the author is correct. "The problem of American power in the 21st century is not one of decline but of a failure to realize that even the largest country cannot achieve its goals of both national and international significance without the help of others". Hopefully when we have true "hope and change" in 2012 we will hopefully have a better interaction within our country and other countries. NOT a one world order. I believe Russia and China will not grasp this opportunity. Prosperity and wealth will bring stability. You will at least have the opportunity to fix things. The individual growth to the fullest potential of every person. Endless chaos otherwise. Even then like an musical instrument frequent tuning will be required.
